I'm saying when you ask someone from West Virginia who they would have represent them if they could pick only one team to represent there state the over whelming majority says Capital. In there eyes, Capital is the cream of the crop. So my congratulations was to Johnson Central in handling the best team in WV in many eyes. Needless to say I have bragging rights at the water cooler Monday!

Agreed. However, I don't think the point he was making was any attempt to compare the two schools. Trinity is a national power, Capital is a WV power. I believe he was making the point that when you think of WV football, the flagship program or first thought of is Capital. Especially of recent coming off a 3A state title in 2014, runner-up in 15 and then preseason #1 this year.

Cabell Midland has always struggled in the past until they got Luke as Coach. Capital has been a stable in WV football for over a decade. Very few schools have seen that kind of success in WV. So this is a solid win and a very good team for JC to schedule. Especially with their trouble filling their schedule. Remember what last years Cabell Midland team did to Belfry. This Capital team dominated that team at the end of the season. Now you can't compare the top teams in WV with the top teams in KY. Our top 3 teams can play with almost anyone. Then its a big drop off to the rest.
