LOL So....from Marlana Vanhoose's brilliant rendition of The Star Spangled Banner to Chris Matthews statement that the night was ruined over the comments from the mother of the Benghazi victim, to the accusations of plagiarism leveled at Melania Trump and all those things in between.....what are you guys thinking??

Remember, I did not vote for President Obama either time... Scott Baio said that the reason Obama does not say, "radical Islamic terrorist" is because "he is dumb, or an Islamic sympathizer, or a Muslim himself."

In my view, it is fine to disagree with a policy or practice, of course. But the kind of "motive searching" and "smut merchanting" that Baio here engaged in (both parties do it) takes true political debate into "lowest common denominator" realm, and, again, in my view, damages the country ultimately.

I believe when the Dems say they want to be true to the dictates of the US Constitution but, keep that same mouth quiet when they know full well that "hands up don't shoot" never happened, your lowest common denominator just got made to look like Mount Everest. In fact, Ferguson was burned down three times because of it the Dems willingness to wink at their own lawlessness and still, the honorable Al Green and the Congressional Black Caucus have yet to publicly acknowledge their hypocrisy. Not to mention there has not been the slightest peep that I am aware of from any of them about all the cop assassinations.

And speaking of mountains, those same misunderstood and lovable Dems have a notable adherent hiding behind a mountain of money. The venerable George Soros, who reportedly pays for protestors to go to Republican events, gives them an hourly wage while they are "protesting", and a nice bonus if they actually get arrested. Bloodied white event attendees are viewed evidently as having gotten what they deserve in the eyes of the Dems. Never heard Obama, Hillary, the CBC, or any Dems at all for that matter, make a concession to law enforcement that was not couched in criticism of their policing tactics against blacks. :dudecomeon:

I did see Cleveland's chief of police wade into the middle of a bunch of loud mouth assholes and calm down a situation that could've gotten out of hand very easily. IMO, this convention has so far, been a platform for positivity for the police.

Despite thousands of delegates and the distinguished, loudly demanding the endorsement of Donald J Trump, Ted Cruz just could not rise to the level of statesman. Upon the end of Mr Cruz' speech, in which Ted referred to the people's nominee only once, thousands booed him off the stage.

By the last few minutes of his speech, it had become obvious that he really is more concerned with his own career than for the good of the country. Everybody I heard speak in critique of Ted's performance said tonight, he committed political suicide.

I seen a donors tweet earlier expressing his displeasure. His final tweet said Cruz will not get another dime. It was one of his evangelical donors. Needless to say he was mad. I was hoping he would help bring all this together and concentrate on beating Hillary, but his ego and lack of honoring the pledge got in the way. People won't forget this.

Romney had %93 of GOP vote in 2012, despite reservations of his mormonism, won the independent vote, and still lost the election. Trump will not get to %90 of GOP support. There are just too many selfish people in the party. Trump will have to win by getting blue collar crossover votes.

If Trump is not elected, it will be because the GOP failed to fully support him, in which case, I am done with the GOP. A party that puts its hurt feelings in front of denying HRC the presidency IS NO for me!

That's hogwash. If it were an extremist Christian group he would be on tv everyday screaming about it.

My bigger question is about what happened yesterday, and that being the Obama/Clinton backed rebels beheading children on video because they say, "These are children of Bashar al-Assad". Our leaders or lack thereof are now accessories to beheading 5 year olds. I thought i could see a light at the end of the tunnel with only 6 months left under this regime, but the light got a lot dimmer yesterday when i seen this video. Just think, taxpayers are footing the bill for these killings. Just something else for Americans to be proud of :please:

I saw Phil Robertson's interview on play back this morning. He was a passionate supporter of Cruz during the primary. He normally speaks little but is concise and to the point. He said that Cruz needs to get over it and move on for the betterment of the party and country. "You (Cruz) lost, he (Trump) won".

I also saw where Heidi Cruz was escorted out of the crowd, with some people yelling "Goldman Sachs" when she passed.

Division is weakening; I hope this party unifies soon.
