I'm not sure what the issues are there, but this I do know. This program has struggled for many years and it doesn't seem to me like the people in charge want to work with the football program. Until that changes, you can hire 100 coaches and it won't change a thing.

OPEN Weight room, no such thing. Weight room is not the gym. To many safety issues for open weight room. Super needs to watch open weight room. Teams have lifting times , where I am from. If not on team ...out.
Sounds about right. An "OPEN" weight room is just a law suit looking for a place to land.

A lot like open bathrooms

I always had wt. lifting for Football Team only. When school was out for summer we lifted at 8:00 AM. Football only.

Bozeman quit bottom line..He got upset over weight room an resigned. You learn to work through your differences an move on in life. The kids are upset with Bose over this..When you tell a kid never quit or give up you need to practice what you preach coach..

After reading this and hearing it from a guy I work with who has a stepson at McCreary. From what he told me was the other sports wanted their kids to weight lift but the coaches of those sports didnt want to show up and help and just leave it to the football coaches to do everything.

Weight rooms are not at all like bathrooms to me, but of course, your own "workout" preference is none of my business.
Bottom line, if non-football kids want to lift weights, great. But if they prefer to work out separately from the football team, then a non-football coach needs to supervise.

I heard this happened during a weight lifting class at school. The coach had his football players lifting and running in order to get their grade for the class, they had to do both. A friend of Coach Bozeman told me that there were some other kids in that class that just wanted to do the lifting and not the running. Well Coach Boz didn't give them the same grades as he gave the kids that were doing the lifting and running both, the non runners got a lesser grade in which they earned. Apparently a Higher Up, not sure if it was the Sup or what wanted those non running kids to get the same grade as the football players that were doing both, Coach Boz refused to give them the same grade. Cant blame him. You get what you in earn in life. That's a coach/teacher setting a good example. At least it is to me. Don't think I'd resigned over it though, but that aint me.

So many of these jobs in our state are nothing more than $6-$10,000 headaches 355 days a year.

I agree. Should be about 20,000 - 30,000 anywhere you coach. Its another job of its own.

Both of the above posters are absolutely correct. Sadly, this is why there are not very many people going into coaching.

Wrong ! It was an after school activity. Like I said before not my job to report, I got friends on both sides of the problem. It's over, McCreary will have a Coach soon.

Ford is an Asst. Coach at Somerset. O/C for several years, Head Coach at Caverna High School (not sure about spelling) did a good job. E' Army not sure about how many would help him. He will most likely bring a couple with him. There are a couple quality people in system if he can get them to help.

I just left Middle School and lots of people are saying Mr. Bozeman wants job back. Man You Quit, You can't go back.

I hope they can work something out.

If the guy has the program going in the right direction, they better hire him back. Sometimes people just get pissed off and do drastic things. The way McCreary Football has been over the past few decades, I can understand the guy completely. No coach could be in the right state of mind which Coach Boz must be in at MC at times and some people do make mistakes. Laugh it off and get back to work.

I was at dairy bar today. McCreary will have a new coach. Source close to program said, might be a asst. coach from North or South Laurel .

For McCreary's sake I hope they don't hire anyone off the South Laurel staff.
