The girl may play at Pcc , but my sources say , that the term hell freezes over were the words used to describe her dad having anything to do with coaching at Pcc! I hope she stays a bulldog , we r going to have a great little team next year , my granddaughter plays there an u can see the friction between the the Caudill boy an the rest of the coaching staff .

Ole fatpat sure took the regional loss harder than hearing KFC went out of bizness, wowza! Now I am looking forward to next season as we bring a ton of talent back with Jada leading the way. Along with the jada train, we have waughsome, evander, and lex luger slone back. If we can get that gift before next season, then we will have a loaded tater team again with tberry and smith providing the horsepower from the bench. Leslie might have taken it this year, but it won't happen again cause fatpat said so.
#warroomalldayeveryday More mash taters please!!!

From Cougarville it appears that you are saying the Lady Pats coaching staff doesn't have enough confidence in their homegrown girls to ever be tops in the 14th. I think that's why you are always talking about getting players from another school. I didn't get to watch many games this year, but I know most of the kids that play at Knott and lets face it, you had the most talent in the region this year.

OMG !! I just read this entire thread. People, please tell me what D 1 school is DESPERATE enough to be "watching" 8th graders in the 14th REGION? My sister has a --15th grader-- that should have went there, she could have saved her $40000.

Hearing a lot throughout the region:
PBURG: alison Hall to pikeville and Jenna Jarvis to Johnson central
Phelps: Danielle Prater to pike central
Piarist: Lauren Wright to allen central
Valley gets profitt back
Hope lafferty to Johnson central
Taylor berger to pburg

I totally agree .... Most talent in the region but no coaching to go along with it. FATPAT is always talking about bringing in new players every year. My guess is they better bring in some players because they are gonna lose some also. Like the old saying goes "if you don't use it your gonna lose it"

Fatpat said the same thing last year and is just trying to get people worked up. And the best gift KCC could get is a set of brakes for that Jada train!! I'm hearing Thornsberry won't be at KCC for them to bring her off the bench and I hope she does leave. She's a heck of a ball player and the kid deserves better.

I did hear about Lafferty, had not heard anything about Jarvis. Valley people are trying hard to get Profit back, time will tell. Will be a long drive.

The reference to D1 schools looking at someone was about Gibson from Owsley who is a Soph not an 8th grader. The statement is very accurate as she has been contacted by at least one D1 school.

I can believe Gibson getting looks from D1 schools. That kid has the total package.

Totally agree. She 6 foot, can handle the ball and shoot with range. A special talent.

If Lafferty does choose to go somewhere, it won't be JC. I heard neither she nor her parents care much for Johnson Central coach Darrin Rice, nor he for them. Stemming from the time he spent as coach at Sheldon Clark. Don't think this would work out very well for either side.

Lafferty is a nice player. If she is looking to transfer, would love to talk with her parents (send a PM) and any of the others. Would love to see her in the back-court with my daughter.

I can promise you that is not happening. The kid is a great player but her dad and coach Napier do not get along at all.

I heard hell will freeze over first! Once you burn your bridges with the wizard that's it!! He respects loyalty an expects it from his players! An those parents who think it's all about them an there child, usually End up by the wayside!! The parents r what's wrong with highschool sports! I told my daughter to go holler for your daughter and encourage the other kids! But rule number one do not bother the coach ! Rule number 2. Refer to rule number one!! Let the coaches do there jobs!!! Go Bulldogs ! Next year is our year!!
03-21-2016, 02:22 AM
Why are you all arguing about a player thats gonna be a naia player and a crazy dad that coaches and wants control. Think about that.
03-21-2016, 10:37 AM
No ones really upset ! So we are just discussing the situation, but ur right it's not worth one's time an effort! So let's move on to something important ! Go Bulldogs !!
03-22-2016, 02:19 AM
Dang Maroons you sure are hard on the talent level of the kids around the mountains. You also downplayed the ability of Creech in another thread. And that crazy dad you speak of is a great coach who has devolved all that young talent in Perry County from what I've heard. Everyone has an opinion I just think yours is a lil harsh on these mountain girls. And no one is arguing we are just passing time till next bball season.

The Sturgill girl at PCC is leaving to join Caudill at Hazard. That is not a rumor it is a fact. I hate to see her go but life goes on. She was allowed to showcase her talent at PCC as an 8th grader and its another example of parents who don't appreciate anything and have no loyalty to someone helping their kid.
03-22-2016, 05:49 AM
If that's the case , an she's happy that's all that counts!
03-22-2016, 03:12 PM
Remember the old saying "Be careful what you wish for you just might get it." Tryjng to please a kid and their parents is never a good situation. Ended up hurting PCC at the end.
03-22-2016, 07:32 PM
Well my Dawgs are rebuilding and I expect to see them do very good next year. We welcome more talent but I wonder why profitt want to transfer to hazard when she had tons of playing time at JBS. I can see why sturgill would want to transfer. I do not understand why would the Thornsberry girl would transfer to Hazard when she should be starting next year? She is not happy to be coming off the bench and I do not see her starting at Hazard if we get these transfers.
03-23-2016, 02:06 AM
It's great to here about my Bulldogs getting more talent! An if so they should have no problem with the district ! Leslie lost 5 girls an Pcc lost a bunch, with only one starter coming back!! Go Bulldogs!!
03-23-2016, 02:35 AM
I could never imagine any parent that has a kid starting on a school like PCC with the winningest coach in state history allowing their kid to go to hazard with a very mediocre program. That doesn't say much for her parents. I call it like it is. That's exactly what's wrong with high school kids these days.
03-23-2016, 02:38 AM
Hazard can get every player from around the area and Larry Caudill will destroy anything they put together because he will never allow his kid to play without undermining the coach.
03-23-2016, 03:47 AM
I am a realist. I dont have the mountains blocking my view of the real world. And Larry you give yourself way to much credit.
03-23-2016, 05:32 AM
Wow, opinions are just that , so i'll share mine. So many kids are jumping schools for the wrong reasons. We have got to stop this trend. Loyalty and appreciation is nonexistence with a lot of parents today. I would hope that Sturgills parents realize what Randy did for her this past season. She should stay put. Hazards coach better step up and get control of his team before its to late. There are some parents at Hazard getting tired of their kids being put to the back burner, so all the attempted recruits can come in and take playing time from kids who have been there since day one. Thornsberry ain't going anywhere, I was sitting right behind Cougars bench two years ago when KCC beat Jenkins with two starters out and played us in championship game, Thornsberry came out of dressroom saying she didn't want to play at KCC anymore and her parent told her she didn't have to play at Knott,,,still there. I hear she should have started for any 14th region team.

Who is Larry? You got the wrong guy my friend and if you are talking about Drum it's obvious he is the Killer B. And I'm not Larry Caudill either and I'm pretty sure there's no way you know who I am. I'm just an old man that happens to have a niece that plays or played for KCC.

Don't think Maroon is hating on mtn kids. Just putting it in perspective. Got to watch Mercer and SW Pulaski play this year and they are just at a different level. We have some good athletes here but team wise the 14th is weak, Maybe if we combine a few counties we could get competitive.
03-25-2016, 02:11 AM
It's funny how paparazzi gets mad when a player leaves perry but when coach Napier recruited all his players then he was happy and didn't talk about loyalty then. And I don't think hazards coach has lost anything most parents like him and the only player that has come in is the Caudill girl and if your child is not good enough to play then I'm sure he will sign a release. Some people would rather hazard lose and there family play. Did these certain people ever think that there family just isn't good enough.
