Is it true that Cody Charles did as well?

Only player to throw it in was Ryder !!! Charles and company are still around . Just found out he was the only one to give it up!! Hate that !!!

I know that Ryder has struggled for most of his high school career with injuries. He gave up football because of them. That may have played a part in his decision. I wish him well and say Thanks for some damn good games I saw him put together. Talented individual who is also a really good kid.
That being said, I did not like what I saw in terms of body language from some players the other night vs East Ridge. I think a lot has to do with frustrations. Hopefully the Panthers can rally up and finish strong

Same group that tried to screw over the KBA middle school state tournament in 2011? No surprises here.

Actually there have been 4 others to "Throw in the towel" prior to Ryder.

Havent been going to many games after christmas but have been surprised by those beating pikeville in the nees. They got everyone back and were not bad last year is what makes it so surprising. Bart is a great guy and on the high side of average for coaches in the region, but I am hearing some calls have been made to big E over at JBS to come join the rest of the family at Pikeville next season. Once his wife graduates dont be surprised if he doesnt answer the call.

Change is badly needed at Pikeville. Looks like the coaching staff got exactly what they wanted.......mediocrity. They have run off kid after kid while taking care of a few and it has finally caught up with them. Too many talented kids walking the halls for this to happen there. I'm not saying state championship caliber talent but they should be able to get out of the district and make it to the region and at least make a run. Someone told me a story from a few years back. Said that Bart had told him when he moved his kid to Pikeville from another school..."you've made the right choice, it's a mess over there" Well, looks like the mess is right there. This same parent told me that he had another parent come to him and say..."you've made the worst mistake of your life" by bringing your kid here. The kids at school talk about it, other coaches talk about it. The administration know's...trust me, they know. Rumor is that Elisha Justice is the coach in waiting, I don't know guess we will have to wait and see.

Ryder is a great kid !!! His injuries just very well may have been the reason . Hate it for him !! He's worked hard a long time !!!

Bart Williams will be at Johnson Central next year. Not sure why they would want him though. Elijah Justice will be at Pikeville next year. Attendance at Pikeville games is the lowest in many years.

Ive always been perplexed how he kept his job this long with some of the talent he has had. Unless his team has a big turnaround he's out. Booher won't put up with an noncompetitive basketball team.
