I'm Clay County through and through but they have a ways to go to make any serious run at a championship. I saw people on the 13th region page and fans of schools from other regions on here in shock. It blows my mind. It's as if even other fan bases thought we are better than what we are. The Tigers are good but there's other quality teams out there.

I can also tell with how upset some Clay County fans are that they thought we are, for example a top 10 team, and overlooked Boyle. We will not face a better shot blocker again.

I think that's with every team. People putting expectations on a team instead of just letting them play and support them win or lose.

Somebody is going to have to help Farmer if Clay is going to be successful.

Farmer is a big timer, heard they was down 13 points late and he put them on his back and almost got the victory. When Farmer has help Clay is as good as anybody, but someone needs to step up and help carry the scoring load. Still think Clay is the team to beat in the 13th.

It's a long season, everyone is going to have some off nights, but don't expect too many out of Smith or out of Clay Co.

My god people ! These kids lost a basketball game and I think had a bad night! I'm a PCC fan but I assure you that these kids can play basketball and yes Marcum can coach basketball. And yes I am the one who said I think come tournament time they can contend for a state title. Give these kids a break! Wow!!!

You do realize that Farmer still isnt leading the team in Scoring, or field goal percentage. He has plenty of help IMO.

The difference in this game was Elkins.......No one on Clays team could or was willing to take the ball to the rim and this is Wolfe's and Smith's strengths. After a few blocks to start the game they resolved to shooting jump shots all night and had no ball movement what so ever...It was either one pass and a shot or whoever brought the ball up shot it......Boyle is a good team and will make some noise come tournament time.

Boyle county isn't that good, and have no prayer of making out of the 12th. They have nonshotmof beating Mercer, SW, or Wayne.

I dont understand why Smith is not getting more looks? Seems like everything is run for Farmer. I get that he is a great shooter but Smith is such a great scorer. He needs to be more aggressive and not so passive. Farmer can't carry them all every game.

I guess Clay isn't that good then? That's why you don't spout stuff out and as another guy said "that's why we play the game" Boyle may not be that good,but they did beat a good Clay County team!

That's what they said last year and they went to the semifinals of the state.....I agree mercer is better but on any night they could beat anyone in the 12th.
