What happen to Shelby Valley I heard they were up by 10 at one point, an is there freshman PG as good as I been hearing talk around the region

If there is any talk around the region about a freshman point guard, then it needs to be about the Rice kid, the freshman from Johnson Central. The other night against SVHS he played 32 minutes and never turned the ball over and iced the game at the end with 2 big free throws. SVHS has several good freshman players, the freshman team is currently 6-1. But as far as any freshman player at SVHS impacting a varsity game, there isn't one.

Brown has the potential to make a good player. He needs strength and needs to improve his quickness. I think SV needs to bring the big Blackburn kid from Dorton over asap. He could help them right now with his size and strength plus he can finish thru contact.

Agreed Blackburn is a Man among men.. He had 21pts and 20 rebounds (9 offensive) against Valley last night .. He could definitely help Shelby Valley post play. As for Brown.. He has potential but he said need to work day in and out .. I believe Brown can help Valley down the stretch if he buys in Hicks system.

What I was told when Brown was in game against Johnson C they was up 9 he goes out they lose by 4 an also didn't he hold Blair to 2 points better good for Freshman only game I seen of him was at Scott Co this year an he played the game without a turnover so as a Freshman that's pretty good I have no fav high school team I just keep up with kids so if that's a freshman that can't help you what is? Kid has BIG Future I know there is a lot of great freshman out there but what I seen at Scott Co man he can dribble an pass not seen a kid that can see the floor like him in a long time plus very unselfish to unselfish at Scott Co

LOL. You act as if you don't know this kid. You are either him or his parent. You have 17 post in 2 years all about this kid.

Give him or yourself (which ever you may be) time you will earn that respect with hard work and dedication.

The way I seen it Brown had to be brought in at Scott Co. to handle the pressure. At SV vs JC when he went in lead was extended and when he came out lead was lost and he was left out the last 6 min. He is a little weak, but very true that he can handle pressure and pass. He didn go in and drop 30 agaisnt JC but what he did do was free up Swindall who was hot as fire already to shoot, instead when brown was out Swindall had to handle the ball and either pass or shoot off the dribble. So if Im Brown Im a little upset but if im Swindall Im real POed cause I could of hd my career high, had a chance to beat JC once befor I graduated, and got some revenge for the 81-46 early region exit they gave me last year, and it was blown by bad coaching decisions!

How many points did your son have against Johnson central? Svhs needed some baskets in the worst way, only 3 players scored. Can your son create on his own and hit a jump shot? If so, that is what was needed on the offensive end. Kobe will be fine, let the young man enjoy the game and remove these unrealistic expectations.

Valley did need baskets in a big way. Too bad their best shooter, Swindall, had to bring the ball up the floor instead of spotting up. How many 3's or self created 2's did the other point guard have? Turnovers? Unrealistic expectations are playing players out of position and at the wrong times and expecting to win big games. Brown needs to be starting Point!

They really did desperately need some baskets, too bad their best shooter, Swindall, had to handle the ball instead of spotting up. How many 3's or pull up jumpers did the other point guard get or create? How many turnovers? How much pressure did he take off Swindall? Unrealistic expecting to win by playing players out of position. Not fair to Tackett who isnt a point guard but is made to play one, not fair to Brown who is, not fair to Swindall who can be but needs to be in a scoring position, and not fair to the team who should have had a win.

Also, Kobe brown did not hold Blair to anything. That would have been #3, Zach Tackett.
