Just replace Boyle with central and I agree with you.

Whoever plays belfry in state will absolutely beat to death by that time.
#4
Oh, I do hope Belfry goes back to state. I had such a great time last year with all the Belfry peeps!!
#5
Belfry/Corbin vs Central/Boyle winner
#6
Belfry vs. Lex catholic or central. Boyle is not a threat
#7
Region 1: Caldwell County/Paducah Tilghman
Region 2: Central/Lexington Catholic
Region 3: Russell/Belfry
Region 4: Bell County/Corbin
West Semi-finals: Paducah Tilghman/Lexington Catholic
East Semi-finals: Belfry/Bell County
State Championship: Lexington Catholic/Belfry
State Champion: Belfry
#8
IMO....the end result is not going to change. You're looking at a Central/Belfry Championship game. And the game will come down to turnovers.
#9
Corbin & Belfry
Central & Boyle

Boyle wins it all......
#10
If belfry plays a physical team they have a tendency to fumble, especially the quarterback, im interested in seeing how they fair.

Central @ home will be a tough out for Boyle and likely the strongest defense Boyle will have faced all year. This appears to be your typical Central team, stellar defense and suspect offense. I think Boyle pulls out the win in a low scoring game that could go either way.
#18
Boyle County vs Central
Corbin and Belfry
the west side of 3A is loaded and could be other teams in the semi.
the East side not as strong but look foBoyler Bell and Corbin game to be a great game.
Boyle and Belfry in Finals
Boyle 28 Belfry 14.

You guys know central beat st. Xavier right? By the same score margin as st. Xavier and male game.

Yes we do, or I do anyway Central is a very run heavy team which plays right into Boyle's wheelhouse on defense, not taking anything away from Central I know they have a very good football team but I would put Boyle's run defense up against any team in the state if you don't have a good passing game it's hard to score points on Boyle's defense with just the run not to mention Boyle has one of the best offenses in 3A, I like our chances against Central, and Lexington Catholic worries me more than anyone else in 3A because they throw the ball so well not guaranteeing a win against Central but I like our chances.

I think it'll be belfry and central in another close one! Always a great matchup!

I agree that The Knights ability to pass makes them the toughest team to defend.
#23
No offense to Boyle but I don't see them making it. Central and Boyle has the hardest road to the championship.

Boyle has central in the 2nd.
Lexington Catholic 3rd
Caldwell, Paducah, or etown in the semis.
Then probably belfry in the championship.

I assume that the district 5 hold up is because fleming beat russell and russell beat west carter. what are the possible scenarios with the upcoming games, as it pertains to seeding. I assume if russell beats raceland they will be 1 seed WC 2 seed, fleming 3. But if russell loses and WC beats magoffin and fleming beats E carter, which is all possible, does that put russell in the 3 spot? I know a bunch of you are way more knowledgeable on this than I am.

You do know they got beat by Knox Central right?

Central will no doubt be a tough out, but they can be beat. KC proved that

Go ahead write off the Hounds, you will see.

No. Due to points Fleming is the 3.

Little more complicated with Russell's seeding. If they beat Raceland, they almost assuredly have the 1 seed. If they lose, West need either Powell or Bath to win to force another tie. If they are tied on points, West likely wins the tiebreaker due to having one extra victory (East Carter). However, if Russell beats Raceland, they should win the tiebreaker by a few points.

good question. I forgot about that.

The 3 way tiebreaker with Russell, West Carter, and Fleming is pretty easy at this point. Fleming at most will have 13 or 14 points and both Russell and West Carter have that beat easy. If Russell beats Raceland they have 21 points and they have the #1 seed. If Russell loses, but still is tied with West Carter in points at 19 then it still goes to Russell because Russell beat West Carter in the head-to-head matchup this year and Russell will still get #1 seed. All Russell has to do Friday night is beat Raceland and they lock-up the #1 Seed in the 3A Region 5!

so it does not matter if russell wins or loses they are no matter what the 1 seed. wc 2 seed and fleming 3 seed. just curious why if it is already decided the khsaa does not post in the brackets. bath county is listed as the 4 seed and set to play belfry.
