That's uncalled for in my opinion.... Starters should be taken out after the first series of second half. No one wants continually kicked while down. But that's the Powell Co way... Glad they haven't had the opportunity to do it often.

People get mad when Powell runs up the score but when there the ones getting scored on nobody says anything

I'm a Russell fan and know nothing about Powell Co. But I do know that sometimes the score can't be helped unless you just take a knee and punt. Russell has played 3 bad teams the last 3 weeks and the scoring discrepancy has been 184-14. A lot of the same things were being said about them. But all 3 games had a running clock in the first half, and substitutions were being made as early as the first qtr.with the 2s and 3s playing after the half. The freshman scored 2-3 tds in one game. You can't tell these kids to quit or not play hard. They want to show what they can do. I guess they could have brought the Jr high team. A team can do all they can to keep the score down without laying down, but ultimately it up to the other team to stop you. If a team gets embarrised year after year either get better or drop your program. I played and I would have rather gotten beat 100-0 than know a team was laying down and taking it easy on me.

Well said mightydog and fundamentals Powell plays with class the coach tells the kids play and win with class they walk across the field and shake hands and win like men you clearly arnt a man and never played the game like it should be played

Exactly king titan when Powell played bourbon and got beat 50 to 0 or some other monster no one showed pity on them hell they told the other team they expected no less I mean come on give the team the win they deserve let them play hard

Waugh daddy I played the game except we never ran the score up on people like that because we weren't losers. We played east ridge every year and never scored over 48 points on them. There is a difference between playing hard and humiliation. I'll just sit and laugh at idiots like Waugh daddy (who probably never played football) knowing that Powell County will not go past the first round of the playoffs. And if they do I hope they play Belfry to get a taste of their own medicine
