You have to include Paintsville in here. They are always contenders in the region.

Belfry will be a sleeper in the region, the have the best coach in the region IMO, in Micheal Hagy. With some of the talent he has on his team, they could very will be the top team in May...

East Ridge is young, they lost 6 starters but they will be lead by Andrew and Jerran Robinson who have the most experience.
I know that they have 1 - 2 Seniors.
Mitch Bishop and Zack Thaker.
a VERY young group indeed.

JC only has 2 seniors and 3 juniors if no one else comes out from basketball.

Paintsville has 2 Srs.
5 Jrs. which one hasn't played before and another hasn't played since Freshman year.
5 Sophs.
7 Fresh.
They might dress 3-4 eighth graders.

The Junior who hasn't played since his freshman year could be a key cog in the Tigers' success. He hasn't played school ball since his freshman year but has played senior league and was the #3 on the staff this summer for the State Champion Senior League All-Stars. He could very well be the #2 on this staff. Glad to have you back Josh. Assuming all the high schoolers dress varsity, that's 19 players. How many kids are going to dress varsity if there might be a few middle schoolers??

Allen Central, Sheldon Clark, Paintsville, Johnson Central, and Belfry all should be good. I am sure Pikeville will be solid, too, but didn't they lose quite a bit from last season? Lawrence County will be awfully young, but very talented. You don't replace a kid like Blevins, but any struggles this team has should be early.
Better get on them this spring, because they are definitely going to bring it in '07, '08, '09.
Should be a fun season with a fairly open region.

Pikeville, Paintsville, JCHS, ACHS, anyone could win the region depending on the draw for the tounry. But as of right now I dont know who to pick. Pikeville lost every starter but 1 in the field (not counting Chase). Paintsville lost 6 starters and every pitcher they had except Vanhoose and Grimm. JCHS lost 3 of there top 4 pitchers and of those three were solid on defense and JCHS was a good defensive team last season. ACHS has the talent to win the thing but I dont see it happening. Maybe with the heart breaking loss last year they have learned something. If ACHS can capitalize on other teams mistakes they will win. I am not ranking anyone and all of my comments are negative. That is how I am.

This looks pretty close. Not sure about Lawrence Co. though.
I do think that ALLEN CENTRAL can beat anyone in the 15th region, if they can score some runs for LITTLE they could beat a lot of teams. The only reason that i put them behind the other teams is history. The teams above them have proven they can win. ALLEN CENTRAL with a good season in 06 will establish themselves as a quality baseball program and should earn the respect of the rest of the region.
