The Pike County Central Lady Hawks scored 25 points in the !st quater aganist paintsville last week. They also were up on belfry 11 points in the first quater. But they lost to paintsville 20 points and belfry by 3. Why? how can a team play great basketball and in my opinion beat ANYTEAM in the 15th the way they play in the 1 quater. WEll you get tired, and who do they have to put in to rest the players> no one. They have 8 th graders, and yes they alos start 2 8th graders but those girl can play ball. nothing aganist the others, they are good for their age but they are no where near high school ball. The only way possible for the lady hawks to make a run is for them to be in great condition.

PC's bench is working on it. They're inexperienced but maturing everyday. I have confidence in them. If you noticed in the Paintsville game, Tasha Blackburn stepped up a whole lot! She did everything she was asked and more. Kayla Ratliff, Krista Mullins, and Jamie Mullins have also picked it up a little. But they're doing okay, don't ya think?

Well when you start off quick and get a big lead, you give a good coach time to adjust his team. NO varsity player should get tired that quick and lose the lead in the first half. If it happens what are they doing in practice. Nothing for endurance. Well it always hold true "players win games and the coaches always loses" If you are a coach thats just the way it will alway be.
