Danville 20 Corbin 0

campbellfield Wrote:Hats off to a very good Danville team!

Defense played ok tonight, a few break downs but played hard.
Offense was horrible, didn't block anyone, snaps are killing us.... Field was flooded but both teams played on it, Danville had very few fumbles...I would guess we had around 10... As I said, we didn't block anyone tonight....but it seems that #16 has a run first mentality. No way he should have that many carries, too slow to run it on 3rd & 12. He would be a good tight end or full back....Maybe time to prepare one of or both of the freshman QBs for the next 3 years.

what a dumb shit get on here and talk about the bad blocking and the bad snaps and then want to throw the qb under the bus what a oxy moron, what a joke you must be a female wanting junior to play. Plan and simple Danville was quicker, and they controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and they beat Corbin not the center, not the qb, not the db's not the o' line or D line they beat Corbin. And why use that #16 you know his name, and yes he would be good at any of those positions, unfortunately for you the coach thinks he is the best qb also.

Too early to crown anybody in 3A, yet. Central beat St. X tonight. The first time ever. 3A is very good this year.
#33
I only saw one bad snap tonight and it was out of the i formation. The snaps in the gun were good snaps the qb just couldn't keep his hands on them. I think the speed of the game got to him tonight. Like he was looking where he was going to run or read before he caught the ball. Cima being gone REALLY hurt tonight. Someone has to step into that RT role.

I guarantee that.

Nobody will hand over anything. Whoever wins AAA will have to earn it.

If Sizemore is replaced at QB, he will leave Corbin in a heartbeat. Wait and see if it happens!
#38
Sizemore will be okay. He will have his time to shine. I expected those with an agenda to start stirring after the first game the Hounds struggled.
#39
With Whitley, Waggner and Clay at what point have you been tested to see how good you are? Reality will set in soon.

How do you see Corbin coming out of the next 2 games against Southwestern, and Mayfield.

Two losses, simple as that.

Well ill say this Mayfield didn't look like worldbeaters in there loss last night either.

Not sure how they match up with Mayfield, but they should matchup pretty good with southwestern. Danville just had alot more speed than Corbin and it caused matchup problems all night. Like one play where Corbin had a linebacker matched up with a wr result touchdown Danville.

Mayfield has a lot of speed, or at least I thought so till last night. Maybe Mayfield coming back to 2a woke Danville up since they have made a living out of beating Mayfield.

Holy s@#$% you people are killing me on my pick'em lol. I think this Corbin team came into this season way over hyped. They could get better as the season goes along but so will all the other teams who are already ahead of them.

RunItUpTheGut Wrote:There was one vote for Boyle County as the top team in 3A from the preseason all the way until now and it was mine.
IMHO Boyle will walk away with the 3A title and I fear it is only the beginning as Smith has gotten them back into form.
Corbin is a young team and will be fine but Danville is no slouch, Boyle is just that good.
However Corbin has got to get the offense figured out and think about what direction they want to go with. There is no reason they should ever put up a goose egg in any game.

Not so fast GUT, I didn't have a vote in anything, but I said last December that Boyle would take over 3A and everyone laughed at me lol.

Please get your facts straight befor you post..Harley has had seizures in the past but they are not caused by epilepsy. If that was the case he would not be allowed to drive. I know him and his family very well. What he has does not need to be posted on here to start with. I just talking with his dad, he said Harley was more sore from the wreck than the game but he is doing ok. They are visiting Carson Newman right now.

Snaps? Are u kidding? If the QB can't catch the ball how does that go on the center?

I think Sizemore can develop into a pretty good QB if gave the time, but with a Taylor in the wings waiting and a very difficult 2 games facing the Hounds he may not get that time if significant improvement is not shown in the next two games.

Corbin lost a lot of Seniors right? Why did everyone honestly think they would be so awesome?

Well there is room on the Mayfield bandwagon if you like speedy teams now that 55 has kicked me off.

Bright and company have a ton of speed. Having played Danville will help Corbin prepare for Mayfield.

Last night Bright didn't have much company. Mayfield had a whopping 55 yards passing. Mayfield needs work, but I think they don't have much problem with Corbin. Only wish I could make that game on 25th, but sadly forced to work next 2 Fridays. Id like nothing more than to set next to 64 mam, and pb&j dougie, and run my mouth all night when the cardinals run roughshod over them.
