Don't feel like the lone ranger. I thought this would be a tight game with BG pulling out the W.
#4
Dang! I got this one right in the pick'em but can you say overrated! I think Pulaski is feeling better and better.
#5
Saint Xavier is probably the second best team in the state. Bowling Green just couldn't hang.

For some reason I doubt this.
#1Trinity
#2Scott county
#3Saint Xavier (maybe)
#7
Wow. Congrats St. X
#8
^
I think St. X might not even be a top 5 team.

Id put T, Scott County, Male, Simon Kenton, and maybe even a few more ahead of them.
#9
Wow. I figured this could go either way. I sure didn't see a blow out.

I did. Hey adopted purple...where was all that team speed at last night? Same team that lost to a mediocre Graves Co. last year.No improvement.:closeenough:
#11
addicted Purple really knows his football. To much speed for BG in this one. They run so fast the wind blows the football out of their hands .:biglmao:
#12
The X/Trinity game is looking like the big show again.
#13
this is a shocker.

I dont think they are overrated. St. X is probably just that good.
#15
I think its safe to say Pulaski is looking at back 2 back.

that sounds about right. Scott County is tough this year.

Id have Pulaski at no 1 right now for sure.

Im guessing Owensboro will be given the nod over BG, PC, and Highlands. They are undefeated and play at BG next Friday. I'm hoping their stay is short lived.

I can't believe this one. May be another tough year for BG.

This is my all jokes aside top 5. #1 Owensboro just because they have 0 losses. #2 South Western because they have the best coach in 5A and loaded with young talent that will be spectacular by playoff time. #3 Pulaski, they were better than BG last year with a healthy QB and this year is no different. #4 Bowling Green, they have the tools to win the west but not a state championship, possibly the 3rd or 4th best team in the east. #5 toss up North Laurel, Anderson County, Dixie, Cov. Cath. there is probably a few more worth mentioning.
#24
Im not giving up that easy on Bowling Green. St Xavier may just be that good. This is 5a, and last I checked St X, and Trinity are substantially better than any 5a team a lot of years, with a couple years ago being the exception when Bowling green was the best regardless of class. Bowling Green will beat Owensboro, and will be the western representative in the finals. I wouldn't celebrate to much if I where any other team, but as stated before id have Pulaski at no 1 even with the loss to Scott County. The 7 point win Owensboro had over o cath is less impressive than Pulaski hanging tough with Scott Co most of the game.

I learned several things last night. Bowling Green has a lot of work to do, especially on the offensive line. You're not going to win many games when your QB is sacked NINE times. Team speed is negated when you fumble the ball three times. St. X beat us in every facet of the game. The Tigers are going to be hard to beat. They took the opening kickoff to the house and never looked back. BG scratched back to 31-19 early in the fourth quarter, but they turned the ball over and St. X took advantage and sealed the deal. I believe 6A football is the strongest It's been in 30 years. There are four, maybe five teams that can beat everyone else, regardless of classification. Class 5A is wide open and it's anybody's guess. The favorite in the west will be determined next Friday when Owensboro come to BG to play the Purples. I think Pulaski County is the favorite in the east. It's going to be fun to watch.
