Middlesboro vs Whitley 8/28
#1
Whitely comes to Middlesboro along with ex Middlesboro Coach, Mr. Jason Chappel. After coming off a huge loss to the Bobcats, how will the Jackets play against Whitley?
#2
Going to get my pick in early on this one Whitley is not a bad team. :Cheerlead

Whitley County 49
Middlesboro 14
#3
If they do not get a line coach, you will see the same thing happen. Surely won't be as bad as Bell. After watching those boys practice, can't believe it was the same team on that field last night.

Colonels by 20. Woods will put on a show.
#6
Colonels 28-14
#7
45-14 Whitley.
Boro score late on JV team..
#8
Whitley may score more quickly than Bell , just because the style of offense. I look for more of the same running clock early in 3rd. Whitley big.
#9
Need a new line Coach? Word is the Head Coach is the line coach. ????????
#10
There is no way that Whitley can do that to us. If so, we need to rethink a lot more than who the line coach is. The talent is here. We should win every year.

I do not think they are bad, we just should not be either.

To be honest with you, Whitley has the offense that can put up a lot more points and quicker than Bell's if you don't have the defense to contain them. Good defenses like Corbin's can hold them, but even they were susceptible to some big plays at times.
If Mboro doesn't have great pass defense, Woods will have a field day. It really takes constant pressure and smart players who don't leave contain to slow him down.
I know Bell doesn't throw it all over the field, but how did Mboro's pass defense look when they did?

Bells QB was 7-10 for 90+. Ran for maybe 30. Middlesboro's defense was very weak. Whitley 49-14

Ill find it hard to see Mboro stopping the pass against Whitley, but if they cant even put a dent in it, then 49-14 may happen.

They could be in trouble then, but Middlesboro has a good young quarterback of their own.

Yep.

Not a football coach, but Mboro QB can't throw it very good.. Much more impressed with his running ability.. To be honest about the two Qbs Friday night, neither one are great throwers.
#20
Whitley goes to 1-1 on the season.
#21
Well, what do I know? BUT, I really like Woods at QB..I just like his style.

I still think Whitley could beat Corbin, they just got the wind knocked out of them with that 4th down pass. Corbin bet a lot on that, and it paid off for them. It knocked the focus out of Whitley.

That being said, I do believe Whitley will win this competition, and will have a good margin in their scoring.

Good luck to both teams.

Whitley by 21.
#22
Whitley is bigger, stronger and faster than Middlesboro. That makes for ugly games.
#23
Whitley County - 35

Middlesboro - 14
#24
Whitley 30 Middlesboro 14 Colonels get back on track
#25
Whitley by 3 scores.......
Middlesboro has some athletes that might match up with them tho. Woods will be the best on this field tho. As well as a better QB.
28-7
Corbin beats Whitley 9 out of 10 games atleast momma bear... You brought it up, not me.
#26
Where are all the Jacket fans? Bell is over. The Colonels are coming to town.

Granny Bear I disagree about Whitley beating Corbin if they would play each other ten times this year Corbin would win all ten. Remember Corbin play a running game against Whitley. Haddix only use about 10% of his plays saving them for down the road. Friends for life right!!! :roses::roses::roses:

Corbin is likely the best team on Whitley County's schedule. The Colonels ain't finished.

Jacket fan here. Just to be honest, I am staying out of this one. I do not like to see the Jackets put down, but it is what it is. I am still trying to digest the Bell game. Good luck, God speed, and where is the Tylenol? :beerwez:
