I was unsure if American pharaoh was good enough, but he answered that today. I hope they run him in the breeders cup classic, and maybe the Dubai world cup, but his stud value is so high now im afraid we have seen the last of him.

Heckuva race...I was confident due to the small field and Bafferts comments earlier in the week that this horse had a good chance.

His speed and ability to maintain distance and pull away has been impressive. If you are looking for some historical perspective. There is only one other horse that ran a faster time than APs yesterday of 2:26 at the Belmont vying for a triple crown....

and that was Triple Crown winner Secratariat with a time of 2:24. We got to watch history unfold yersterday. Congrats to the jockey, trainer, owners, and the fans. Been a long time coming folks!

There is some questions about the horses ability and how the field wasn't as tough, but all that needs to be looked at is the time.
This turned out to be a dominant horse. Racing needed this win. First triple crown in my lifetime. With the way things are, it may be the only one.
Hell of a horse.

Exactly. Everyone keeps talking about a weak field, but as you said, his time is what was impressive. His break away speed at the end of that long race was awesome.

Alittle off topic who do yall consider the greatest horse of all time. I prefer Man O' War over Secretariat. I do think Secretariat ran the best race any horse ever has in the Belmont. On that day no horse ever was going to beat him. 2 different horses in 2 different era's, but Man O' War was way more consistent, and was always head, and shoulders better than his competitors. Even in his fluke only loss he almost won after starting poorly because he was turned the wrong direction when race started, and was gaining in a very short race and barely lost. He beat that horse upset in every other race they ran in. Secretariat had a high ceiling as far as how good he was when he brought his A game, but the problem is he was inconsistent. He lost 5 times, and everyone seems to want to make an excuse for every one of them, but no excuse could be as good as the one Man O' War had in his only loss. Whether he had a lot of health issues or not give me the horse that never failed to show up. They both set a lot of records, but I think Secretariat is pumped up because of the 3 triple crown races especially the Belmont, people forget he was only average in a number of his races, Man' O War was never average. He would win even on the days that wasn't his best day.

I think people that say that it was a weak field, are the type that just cant accept greatness. The time was great, His Preakness win was impressive, and you cant knock the time in that race cause it was sloppy. The derby wasn't an impressive time, but he still won after going wide, and I heard he wasn't a fan of Churchill's surface. Some people cant be happy with a new star being born. They want to pump up a secretariat, and down the new great horse. Kinda like people knocking everything Lebron does so they can keep pumping Jordan.
