Double dang....Figure this game would be close atleast. Way to go Perry. :Cheerlead.

Perry was up 30+ when they emptied the bench.
Pressed well and made their shots.
Hopefully they've turned the corner defensively.
JC will be fine... just ran into a buzz saw tonight.

Its time to start thinking about just how overrated JC is.
Are they even a top 10 team?

JC has been decimated with injuries thus far this season. At this point, it doesn't look good. To be down 3 starters through just the first 4 games is devastating....

Dang, I thought this would have been closer.

Shocker, I really thought this would be a close game

Patrick Rice is still out with some football injuries.
Truman Salyer is out for the season with a knee injury.

^ Oh okay, I guess I didn't realize Rice was considered a starter. Hopefully Gullett/Rice will get healthy soon.

Very surprising to say the least.Dores must have felt like they had something to prove. To be up 30 points and empty the bench against Johnson Central is amazing.

Johnson Central was probably one of the smallest teams I have ever saw. Their PG was 5'6 and their 2G was about 5'8. They had one decent sized kid that played center. Smallest JC I had ever saw in my life. Perry shot until they made it. Don't get me wrong though, the small guard from JC had some skills though, but as a whole, they just couldn't compete against PCC. PCC was a step faster and hit the boards. Tobler and Blair had their way when I was there. Braxton Beverly looked like he was just simply on another level compared to everyone else in the gym. Well maybe Coach Rhodes could of give him some competition. Hehe

Good win for my Dores! Beverly was insane last night. I really like what Blair and Whitmore add to the team. Rebounding is key and we took care of that last night. Now, lets take care of Hazard.

Just glad to see perry didn't get cheated in this one

Seems like all of us Perry fans are so much happier when we win.

Huge win for Perry. Plus they did it in quality fashion.

I've seen PCC play twice now. I didn't see this game. So in what way
do Whitmore and Blair improve the team? Beverly looked a little out
of synch in the games I watched. Flu? New players? New offense?
What about team defense against run outs? Tobler is still learning. I'm
sure the coaching staff or someone is working with him in the post. He will
eventually be unstoppable in the 14th. At this point, just keep it simple-
put a body on someone and rebound and then, post up on the other end.
I went to see Rowan play when I heard Gullett was injured. I saw Gullett
last year. Big, athletic kid. Still maturing physically. Beautiful stroke and
touch. Will rebound. Very confident and wants the ball. Heady play.
Last year, the JC guards over penetrated and were reluctant to pass, even with
other men in great position. When pressured, they did the old grade
school "put your head down and go hard to the hole." Same guards this
year? Gullett is very, very good. Still maturing. Could end up as
one of the best from the mountains.

What were notable scorers for Perry County? How many did Beverly have?
