Anybody know what the burgs defensive strength is, against the run, or pass.

Well they didnt last year, but since yall claim they are night, and day better i thought they might put up a fight.

Old jacket... I wouldn't, I would go straight to the Lb's! Have you not heard of the Usain Bolt we have in the backfield? While WB's line is finishing licking off the glaze from their fingers from the pre-game donuts Trajon will be two stepping in the end zone

IMO their defense is much better and I don't think Mayfield will score quite as easy or as quick this year. Their offense has more balance but the problem is that Mayfield probably has a better defense this year also and that Mayfield defense is faster then the Williamsburg offense.

Raceland dropped/over threw 3 definite 60+ TD catches. First play from scrimmage went through the hands and off the freaking HEAD of Maverick Dixon, he had the DB beat by 2 or 3 steps, then on Raceland's 2nd drive, after forcing a Wburg t.o., Dixon dropped another sure fire TD. Youg then over threw Messer by about 5 yards in the 3rd quarter which would have gone for another score. Williamsburg did well enough against the run, but Kane Snyder had a solid game going by a avg/carry. But we failed to give him the ball after he had 5 carries for 48 yards in the 1st quarter. After that Williamsburg adjusted. Last year the Jackets seemed lightyears faster upfront than we were. This year, they didnt. This is a long way of saying They are better at stopping the run, IMO. But if a team can keep their DBs on their heels, it wont matter. Because we beat their man coverage almost every time, we simply couldnt complete a damn pass. You do have to watch out for their FS though. That kid will come from out of NO WHERE and all of a sudden he is on the ball and has a very high verticle. Best bet is to get 1 on 1 and take a few shots down the field.

I honestly don't think Mayfield will have any problems with Williamsburg. Raceland had an off night in all phases of the game, but they still managed to hold Williamsburg to seven points in the first half and 14 after three quarters. Mayfield is much deeper than Raceland and they have a larger pool of athletes, not to mention the fact that they probably have the best defense in 1A. This is just my opinion, I'm not trying to hate on Williamsburg.

You are talking in circles.you either had a horrible quarterback or Williamsburg defense had something to do with you missing all these definite surefire 60+ yard touchdown passes. sounds like sugarcoating a loss to me.
