Fairview 2015 schedule has 8 teams for sure contracted which are
Raceland-district
Paintsville-district
Hazard-1A
Bath Co -3A
Fleming Co-3A
Lewis Co - 3A
Lawerence Co-3A
Perry Co Central - 5A
Of course this isnt in order. For the last 2 spots i know for sure of 4 teams Fairview had been in serious talks with which are an Ohio team which the name slips my mind at the moment , Rowan Co , Williamsburg , & Belfry . Ive been told Belfry is about a 95% chance of happenning .
#3
No offense to Fairview, but that would be a waste of a game for Belfry.
#4
Be a Jv game for belfry, when this senior class leaves fairview is in trouble. Heard they didn't even have enough for middle school team. You are in major trouble when this occurs, it's a sad state of leadership there to say the least.
#5
there is no reason whatsoever to schedule belfry. that's crazy. I mean im all for Fairview... but belfry. c'mon man!! there are plenty of teams other that Williamson mingo pirates to play. and you know they wont come to us. also to play at belfry..bad idea. coco puffs is not in favor as you can tell.
#6
I can see scheduling belfry if your program is on the up and up and will be for awhile, but its been said countless times that Fairview is on their last leg for awhile, after next season. I think Fairview will be in position to compete for the district next year. Paintsville, Raceland and Fairview all loose some key players to graduation after this season. So the playing field will be a little more level than it was this year.

AGREED SCOTTY. cupboards get pretty bare after 2015. goodluck to the rams Friday night would like to see our district represented on the carpet in bowling green!!
#8
Hey dont shoot the messenger lol , from what i understand Belfry contacted us wanting the game , & it would be a 2 yr contract . 1yr there , & 1yr at Fairview . Fairview had a chance to play Ashland , & Russell but they refused to come to Fairview one year so Fairview said nope .
#9
Hey im starting to second guess myself . Instead of Belfry Ky , it may be Belpre Ohio ?
#10
the home/home ordeal breaks alot of deals
#11
both huntington and johnson central have been busts with Raceland due to that. We play AT Ashland every year and its always a great pay day for us. I think given time Ray will get numbers back up. It just takes time.

what does Fairview return on the OL?

Scotty_Bronson Wrote:what does Fairview return on the OL?

As far as offense goes Fairview is returning everybody except WR Blake Smith , & RB Isaiah King who only played in 2 games . Dan Metzler who was a 2yr starter on the OL was moved strictly to DL this yr , & he is also a Sr . As far as singificant players go these 3 are Fairview's only losses to graduation .

o line returns 4 starters..bobby miller lt will be junior lg Charlie Shelton senior..center josh Russell senior and rt billy davis senior. pretty solid line if you ask me. gave alex roy time all year

Now Is the time for an easy schedule compared to the years of the cupcake Schedule for padding the win numbers like they did........well, we know why that was, and where it got them. Looks like in 4 years they might not have enough to even compete. As much as I dislike people like you, I hate it for the kids.

Care to further explain the whole Huntington and JC bust?

Raceland has tried a handful of times to set up a series with Huntington High and Johnson Central, but the last, its been my understanding the last few attempts were shutdown do to them either not wanting to do a 2 year contract or refusing to come to our place.

Just got word straight from the horse's mouth Belfry is NOT happenning , Perry Co has asked out of the contract , & we picked up Coal Grove .

Fairview will be bad again next year

Coal Grove will definitely test your strength upfront. The arent the most mobile bunch but they are extremely stout upfront and will, to quote Bill Tom Ross..."Waller you to death"

Wrong and I am very familiar with the on goings of JC's future schedule. We aren't Ashland and would grant a return game. As far as Huntington High I'm not sure about them. We played Ironton in a 2 year deal, with a trip to Ironton, so why wouldn't we do that for Raceland? Next year we are supposed to travel to Fairland if they honor the final year of their contract. We played Harlan Co. on the road with 2 more games and one more trip to Harlan County left on our 4 year contact. We always play a home and home with Belfry. I'm not going to call out names but to my knowledge only one 1-A school was contacted about a potential matchup after their scheduled 5A team dropped them but they stated that they wanted to play a school similar in size. The only 1 year deal that we did inquire about was with North Oldham, Ironton and NCC for week 6 this past year but they all declined. The only reason we sought a 1 year deal with these teams is due to this particular week being switch to a district game starting in 2015. Shoot me a PM about what dates you have open and I can relay it to our people to see if we have a match.

Fairview will have the best QB in the area next season. Not a lot else, though, other than Washington at WR. Those 2 ought to at least make things interesting.

we ended up scheduling some more subpar teams. We picked up Russell and Valley (OH) so those are two great ball games, but we schedules West Carter and Sheldon Clark for the other vacancies on the schedule. I will def PM you though. Id love to see us work something out

I think with Roy and Washington returning they should be pretty good for next year, I dunno about after that but I really liked the Washington kid. He really impressed me the few games I got to see him play.

and what do you know. 7-5 and winning a playoff game preceeded with scandal and corrupt coaches. well this 2014 season was a success!! congrats to the boys for playing hard and proving the whole region wrong. I believe the paper predicted 5-5 season. ha aaron Snyder doesn't know football or rocky Stanley either

dare i say it Crappy...lol

i gotta agree with you here. If Fairview looks at this season as anything other than a success, then they are in bad shape. Many of the eagle faithful even predicted a 2-4 win season. even though they ended up losing by a large margin to the rams again, i think they gained some confidence in seeing that they could atleast compete in that 1st half.

Fairview has the same issue that Raceland had late in the season. Being one demensional. If Fairview develops a run game outside of Roy scrambling, they will be a much better team and a much tougher out next season.
