Congrats on the win. You have a very good team. Good luck next week in Bowling Green.

Personally I wish we had taken a knee at that point in the game but this is big boy playoff football, if you don't want to be scored on stop the other team...Its not peewee football where we don't keep score and we all get participation trophies...The kid who caught that TD pass was a freshman good for him, he made a heck of a catch in a state semifinal game and will never forget it..You do not know Jerry Herron and I assure you he is a first class individual...So I am guessing Pikeville has never ran up the score on anyone, whatever Jet...

good experience for a freshman.I don't know if they scored or not but Coach Herron is a class act and not one to run a score up and show poor sportsmanship.

A Classless move like that is anything but Big Boy Football! This is Mayfields 20th trip to the finals and 6th in a row. We have had plenty of blowout playoff wins and a few blowout championship games and making that call would never come from a coach who understands big boy football. It is insulting to Raceland and dangerous with the Big game coming up with a chance of getting a kid hurt. As for getting a kid experience didnt yall have a ton of blowouts so i am assuming he got in the game plenty this season. If ya want to be a Football power in 1a and with Mayfield moving up there is an opening to fill. Then learn to behave like champions and act like yall have beem there before

Nice picture Granny Bear. Is that a penguin up in the tree?

That makes it classy how? Wouldnt matter if it was a 6th grader. You take a knee and act like East side champs.

Dang what going on here if Williamsburg scores 3 times on 1st and goal to goal 3 times people would be saying Williamsburg was running up the score or calling Raceland a cupcake....I didn't like the last score but hey wave the white flag  and get Williamsburg coach attentions....It goes both ways

I think Raceland is in the same place Williamsburg had been in the past and in time, I too, think Raceland will find a way over that hump and make it to the carpet.

Moral victories are pointless, but I think Raceland should take a little pride in not being another victim of the Williamsburg running clock. Some would say that Williamsburg's offense wasn't clicking and that's the reason, but I think Raceland's defense played more of part to that than some would want to admit.

H@LL I have admitted that Raceland defense had all to do with it. No excuse here Williamsburg offense was healthy....Raceland should take pride. Look for a big season next year.

No excuses when you put up 34 on a good team. This wasn't a team anybody who was rational was expecting to run the clock against. Williamsburg was clearly better but Raceland was one of four 1A teams playing last night

Jarons Wrote:I was talking to 64Sur when that happened. He was ripping the Williamsburg coach about that play. Very disappointed with the way the players acted at the end, especially the way Raceland reacted to the touchdown. Neither team acted with very much class at the end.

Dude do you understand Williamsburg coach is about 6'8 are you trying to get me hurt. Thanks believe me coach I was just cold wanting to get to the car. :lmao: I also said h@ll yeah. Confusednicker:

Classless and I kinda hope coach Morris gets wind of this esp after last year keeping the running clock off yall in the first quarter.. it was clear last year that we clould set the national record on points scored in a championship game and yet coach opted to hold it from running clock to allow ur kids an fan to enjoy the atmosphere... yet running up the score is now ok ? Maybe raceland remembers this stunt an throws u a taste in the future...!!

Talk about classless run I tell your coach Morris that Williamsburg is coming to kick mayfeild a$$...back your talking points next Saturday. H@ll you sounds like y'all wanted Raceland,Painstsville, hazard and that jetpitot team all year...Well you're stuck with Williamsburg again. We will see if the west is weaker than....I think Confusednicker:

Williamsburg is classless. Their players cussing opposing coaches and were twisting ankles on every tackle. What goes around comes around they lose 17 seniors. Td pass with 25 seconds left up 27-8.

Racelands 2 personal fouls late in the game one to the head of our kicker on a extra point which gave him a concussion was classless also...Very dangerous hit to a unprotected player...
Raceland had a great season...

Don't throw TD pass with 25 sec left and the kicker don't get concussion.

The only thing I saw was Messer's ankle get twisted on the Williamsburg sidelines. Raceland was not choir boys either, especially at the end.

I have previously said I wish we would have taken a knee, but that in no way justifies trying to permanently harm a player because you didn't defend a pass..

The hit on the kicker was done by one player, in my opinion it was definately a bad play, in the heat of the moment, and very poor judgement. Coach Salmons immediately pulled the player and gave him an attitude adjustment. Those actions are not what Ram Football is about and never will be. Coach and the young man visited the player at mid-field after the game to check on him and I assume apologize. The timeout before the last play was to make sure no more foolish mistakes were made. Hope the kickèr a speedy recovery and is 100% for Championship game!!

Good Luck to Williamsburg next week and the Rams will be back strong and ready for a great season next year!!:football:

your second consecutive lame post. Williamsburg shouldn't have thrown a touchdown pass at the end and you condoning a late hit on the kicker because they did is sad.I sure hope you dont coach.

Raceland could be the favorite from the East next season.

I think Raceland is one of the classiest programs around, and looks like you have a great coach.
