This game will get ugly quick, Highlands wins very big.

Bluebirds win again

Owensboro nice record. But who did they beat all year? No way they played the schedule Highlands did
11-29-2014, 05:19 AM
Let's go Owensboro.

Owensboro has some nice skill players, but, I think Highlands depth will wear them out in the 2nd half. It may be close for awhile, but, the Birds will turn it on and win comfortably. I'm gonna say 55-21

With a win in this game, how many more wins does Highlands needs to take over the national record?
I haven't been paying attention this year, but they weren't far behind Valdosta, and I found an article here...http://www.maxpreps.com/news/09wWhX_PtEy...e-wins.htm
According to this, they are about 30 wins behind (although some dispute Valdosta has that many wins, and some even claim it was only 3 wins ahead of Highlands to start the year this year). If IN FACT, Valdosta was only 3 wins ahead of Highlands this year, than Highlands would be your new all time leader in wins. Valdosta finished 9-2 this year. They're done. Highlands has already won 12 games this year, and with a win over Owensboro would become the leader by one game.
However, this articles wants to say that Valdosta has 882 wins to Highlands 855 wins, meaning after this season Valdsota finished with 891 to Highlands 867, potentially 868 after a win in the title game.
Either way, I bet Valdosta isn't the first to a 1000.
BTW, Male is in third, and SEVERAL KY schools are on the list.

Saw the catholic/highlands game tonight in ft Thomas and I was impressed with Highlands. Their offense is full of speed everywhere!!! Defense gave up a bit more through the air but it won't matter next week. There is no way Owensboro slows that offense down.

Not taking away anything from our teams here because I'm all about Kentucky football. but our good teams are really good when they have the talent then above average without. while our bad teams are extremely bad with the occasional every other 8 years they'll have a "good" season. So I'm happy for them but it's very skewed in my opinion.

Here's the cold hard facts. Owensboro lost to Henderson Co that lost 7 games. Cov Cath beat Henderson by 3 TDs. Highlands beat CovCath twice. What's that mean? Owensboro isn't very good
11-30-2014, 03:14 AM
Yeah im guessing Owensboro is dangerous to some degree, but they wont beat Highlands.
Highlands should either burry them off the bat, or it will there will be a little score trading and then Highlands pulls away hard.
There is no way Highlands looks past Owensboro after what happened last year.
Highlands O will blast them, the question is how many times will Highlands D stop them?
Highlands 48
Ownesboro 20

You are being too nice, go watch film of one of their games. No way Owensboro scores more than 14 (I predict 7) and that will probably be off subs.

Both are lucky Mayfield is 1A. If Owensboro wasn't afraid to schedule the Cardinals they would have been shown who the best team in the west is. Call our AD next year. Caldwell County will be terrible now that they lost their one good player. We need new meat.

This will not be fun to watch. Highlands is well coached and the speed of the game will be too much for Owensboro.

Highlands fans don't attack me for not picking Highlands by 60 nicker:

Most picked the Birds in a blowout last season too......Oh well, Birds in a blowout. Running clock and home by 10.

Yep here we go again. HHS running clock first half. Greatest all time. All world. Well guess what, there will be a another. Very athletic team on the field again this year. I have had them #1 most of the year. Still wondering what happened at Henderson. This game will be tied going into 4th.

Always heard it as "blind hog" but either way, let's hope neither are around.

UK#1 Fan?????????? Love how you live in the past just like him. Where is Collins this year? They were lucky to win last year and yes I did say "LUCKY" Everything went their way last year and they needed the second to last play of the game to come out on top. You have pumped everyone all year except for Highlands, so your motives are quite obvious. Maybe you can stop down and watch how a DYNASTY does it year in and year out. Highlands is not a 1 or 2 year wonder, unlike your boys at Collins who have been spending the last several weeks licking their wounds from the numerous beatings that they took last year. And don't give me the rebuilding year b.s. because Highlands has not had to rebuild in the last 100 years. Here is to NKY football, may you bring home 3 titles this weekend.

LUCKY?????hahahaha... That game was all Collins from the start. Yep Collins took their lumps this year and that was while in the reloading process. Don't get the number of kids HHS does each year. Am not going to bash the HHS program cause it is a darn good one. One that everyone wants to build to. But I will bash some fans everyday. I have HHS in my top 3 all year. Have had Owensboro up there also because of what they had returning from a good football team. But just cause you are HHS, don't think you can't be knocked off and no my friend, it wasn't luck either.

Yes LUCKY, LUCKY, LUCKY. All Collins from the start? What game were you watching my friend. Did Highlands not have the lead over your beloved Titans until the second to last play of the game? Hardly what I would say from the start. I am not HHS, I am Mantax and I agree with Blau in that even a blind squirrel can find a nut sometime and last year was that time for Collins obviously. You had HHS in your top 3 with who, Owensboro, Boyle, LexCath, Madisonville North Hopkins, North Oldham, Johnson Central and whomever else you wanted to include. All I know is that HHS will be playing in their EIGHTH straight title game and I just wish I would have gotten that timeshare someone offered me about 10 years ago.

"That game was all Collins from the start." Who told you that? If you believe that you obviously weren't there and haven't seen it since.
It was INCREDIBLE luck. There are lots of what ifs in every game, but were it not for a WELL DESERVED unsportsmanlike call on the last drive, the clock runs out and there is no time for a miraculous play and we are talking about Highlands going for #8 in a row.
