Williamsburg @ Raceland 11/28 1A Semi Finals
Raceland is a well coached team with a bunch of athletes. Their offense is balanced and they get a bunch of kids touches. They have struggled with the run some this year but have done a good job shutting down the pass. Williamsburg's strength has been passing so it will be their strength against Raceland's. Should be a good match up. Williamsburg traveling 4 hours on a bus the day after Thanksgiving has to be to Raceland's advantage.

I expect that both team has some injuries.....wish both team an injuries free game. And kick the west a$$. Confusederiously:
mayfield_9 Wrote:Beechwood? Their best win is against an 8-5 Cov. Cath. team. The east is even weaker than I originally thought.

it will suck to lose to a weak team.
Scotty_Bronson Wrote:im sure its because they were playing from behind, but what about the 324 yards that Morgan threw for?

if he had 324 yards I had 500.

Spelled Salmons:Thumbs:
Raceland is a great program and has been for a long time. One of the best to have never made a title game... at least not yet. After decades of getting bounced from the playoffs by the likes of Beechwood and NCC, this is as good a time as any to make that breakthrough.

Ross, Vanderhoof, and Maynard, just to name a few, couldn't quite get the Rams over the hump. I hope Salmons is the guy to finally get it done.

Maybe Raceland and Russell can get it done together.... take buses side by side all the way to BG and come back with matching championship trophies.

Maybe.... just maybe.

^Naturally I am biased because I graduated from there, it the best atmosphere for a game IMO. I am looking forward to my first game there in about 3 years.

TigerBlues Wrote:Good question, will Messer be ready after that blast he took across the middle ? Saw that on film, ouch !

That was a MONSTER HIT, but Kash took the brunt of it and came out the worse for wear. Messer never came off the field and has never missed anything this week. Messer will be playing at 100%. TBH it could have been a targeting call on Kash, but it happened so fast and hard that it went unnoticed. It was the hardest hit I had seen this year. watching the hit from the end zone was like watching 2 "RAMS on the old National Geographic channel hitting heads". Glad Kash was okay after the hit. Messer has grown physically since starting as a 6'0" 150 pound freshman. Do not think he would have survived that hit if he were younger.

Messer's good to go...
Awesome story about Coach Salmon's uncle, who is the man who really runs the show regarding Raceland Sports. No matter what team you're rooting for, you'll love this article.

I agree. Messer's physicality has been his greatest improvement to his game over the last 4 years. He is more than happy to lower his shoulder, nowhere near afraid to go across the middle or up for a ball. He is alot stronger than he seems as well.
Ram!. its whats for dinner Confusednicker:
Happy Thanksgiving Williamsburg and Raceland fans. :worthy:
Everybody enjoy their turkey and be careful traveling. Ram fans what do you recommend from your concession stand?
Concession stand is very important for me.
