Well that's different. That's a politically correct issue that should make everyone sick. There was nothing wrong with being called the Indians and CC should have never caved on that one.
I would almost imagine there isn't another orange jackets in the nation.

Scottie I believe in my Jackets and it would certainly break my heart to loose however, if the rams do come out on top I want you to know that I will be for the Rams in every way I can. I pray that neither team has any injuries and fans on both sides return home safely. With that said good luck.l

There is no argument only when trolls want to cause trouble both Qb were very good both bring different things to the table.

Geez... We get it... Our schedule doesn't meet the high standards of the Mayfield cronies. Look at Pikeville, Hazard, Russellville, and Frankfort. They all played a tougher schedule, but they're sitting at home. You're beating a dead horse.

2010: Mayfield 47 Hazard 6
2011: Hazard 24 Mayfield 6
Hazard took 41 points from Mayfield's total and added 18 of their own. By my math that is a 59 point turnaround. So to say it cant be possible that a team is that much better from year to year, isnt true. Im not saying that this will be the case, simply stating that it IS possible. Another question I have is this. Has anyone went to their FIRST state title and WON? Im sure its happened, just curious as to who has done it.
some of the Mayfield people are from Missouri and you have to SHOW them.

mysonis55 Wrote:The thing with 2011 was a combination of things. First we were banged up and just didn't have the same number of athletes that we had in 2010. Second, Hazard played a tougher schedule that year than they did in 2010 to prepare. Next, they had a better and bigger qb in 2011 than they did in 2010. Last, we were overconfident.
Now in 2014 the burg has played a weaker schedule this year, not preparing. Second, the qb this year isn't as good as Sizemore. If we make it this time we won't be overconfident because no one expected our new faces to be there this year. This after all is a rebuilding year for the Cards.
there was no combination of things.Hazard was simply the better team and beat you like a rented mule.

What are the chances a petition could start to change the mascot of Wburg from the yellow jackets to the orange jackets? Im sure people would be okay with it and it would make a hell of a lot more sense.
Unless you still have a bunch of old cronies around I think it would be something cool and different. Ive never heard of orange jackets.
I think thats a good question and a great idea.

Honey bees only sting once, that's certainly more fitting. Wait a minute, that won't work either cause the bees didn't even sting us once.

Wasn't trying to ruffle feathers. I think Williamsburg is a great team. It wasn't from a not being prepared to play another good team standpoint that 55 has beat like a rented mule. I'm talking about from a stamina standpoint late in a game. The Caldwell team from my example lost there qb, but somehow stayed in the lead for 2 more quarters because there defense was doing a great job, but when it got in the 4th they couldn't stop nothing largely due to being out of gas. They had played way to many teams that they got running clocks on in the 1st, and 2nd quarter. Maybe the burg is so good that they can steamroll any of the other 3 teams left, and put it away early, but I think 99% of us would say that ain't the case, and they will have to win a close 4 quarter heavyweight bout. Has the burg had to go 4 quarters all out like the other 3 has in multiple games, and the answer is no.

i'm glad someone finally said this......your strength of schedule only matters if you're not capable of producing when it matters. How many people picked hazard because "they were better prepared" and where are they right now. If your that good then your that good no matter who you play. This is not saying williamsburg will win it all this year. That would be fantastic but at the same time this strength of schedule crap is really getting old. Williamsburg is still playing and the others are not. Isn't it funny how so many mayfield people cant stand to stay off a williamsburg vs. Raceland thread. Oh well, go jackets and looking forward to friday night.
