The regional tournament will be held at the expo center. As we all have been wondering, what will they be doing to make it more crowd friendly considering their are no endzone seats. Well it has been said that they will be bringing in football bleachers to put behind the goals. To make this tournament more ball team friendly each team boys and girls on the day of the draw each team will have 45 min to have a shot around in the Expo Center. So there you have it working out the kinks... maybe?

I love the idea of having region at the expo center.....

I think each team that makes the Regional Tournament is deserving of a minimum of one practice, so they can get adjusted to the floor, because I suspect that this floor is going to be of high quality.

Each team WILL get to practice once at the EXPO center..
02-17-2006, 10:03 AM
i thought i pointed that out by saying each team had 45 mins on the floor but i guess not...

Tickets are going to be 10 bucks a pop. and no one is getting a pass, NOt prinicpals, coaches, officials,,,,no one.
I am worried about attendance if a family of 4 goes thats $40 not to mention 3.00 for a pepsi

That is ridiculous! Ten dollars! If that is the case then that is the biggest mistake they have done with the tournment. Thats worst than making people clear the gym and pay for the next section. People are not going to pay ten dollars to watch boys basketball, and I know that they are not going to pay ten to watch girls basketball. This is a huge mistake!

If my child is there...I'm paying!!!
It funny that people will pay $100.00 per ticket to see a concert, but complain about $10.00 to see area kids do something they love and work so hard for.
02-17-2006, 10:32 AM
That will be the only people there!
02-17-2006, 10:35 AM
It usually is anyway...8 out of 10 people at ballgames are parents/family members.
02-17-2006, 10:44 AM
My twon they are many fans that come out and support thier old team but that will not be the case this time!
02-17-2006, 10:44 AM
i'll be paying what ever i have to, to see my friends play i guess this will show you who the so called diehard fans are and who the sell outs are...

I'm hearing tickets will be 6 and 7 dollars instead of the original 10 that was proposed. Slamma Bamma...I understood what your post said about practice and I was backing you up.
02-17-2006, 11:02 AM
Well to start with the tourney tickets are always a little higher than a regular game, and it wouldnt matter the cost the fans would still turn out!!!!!!!!!
02-17-2006, 11:15 AM
Agreed!
02-17-2006, 11:23 AM
OK
Regional ticket prices...$6 lower arena...
$10 is the cost for limited floor seats.
These prices have been verified, can we stop the false rumors.

I am only the expo board, I know what I am talking bout. your right on the price. What do you all think about no passes
02-17-2006, 12:52 PM
$6 is around normal price for them anyway and it won't be nearly as crowded in the Expo as it would be in area gyms. I like the feel of regional because everyone gets so into it but it usually gets too hot and that results in people getting sick..I will go to any games that my team plays and pay whatever I need to to get tickets.

This is by far the nicest facility or gym east of Lexington...The region is lucky to have such a nice state of the art place like the Expo Center and to not have it there would be foolish IMO. Glad to see that the kids of the 15th region will get a opportunity to play at the Expo Center and hopefully the winner will be more ready for Rupp as the Expo Center will have a similar background for shooters. 6 or 7 dollars is not bad at all...there will be huge crowds at the tournament this year.

Great post....
I would gladly pay the $10.00 to get in ! These kids work their butts off in practice and give their free time to play the sport and to represent our school and community, if we as fans could'nt give a little back to go watch them....Then I wonder how many of us are "TRUE FANS" ???

agreed 100%
