DevilWatcher Wrote:What does that make Russell?....who beat Ashland.....who beat Raceland. Nice reasoning...lol. I do believe Rams will win by 2 TDs though.
Realistically it means nothing. It's all about matchups. If Raceland hadn't turned the ball over three times and given Ashland a short field they would have won, and still only lost by six points...and it was the second game of the season. Russell barely squeaked by in overtime (29-27), and it was the third game of the season. Both teams are a lot better now, but if you are honest with your evaluations Raceland is still at least two touchdowns better than Russell this year. Even a blind man can see that.
And for the record...I always pull for Russell when they aren't playing the RAMS, because: 1. I went to school & played ball there. 2. T.J. is a good friend of mine.

id love to see Raceland and Russell in BG. Both have some tough games a head though. But BG wouldnt know what hit it when those two schools and their fans rolled into town!

Would be a field day for robbers in Greenup Co.

Well, I kind of figured you wouldn't, because you're a douche bag. I was able to see some film from both games and a Tigers fan on the other site gave a synopsis of what was different between each.
Seriously though, thanks for solidifying the fact that you're a big ol' bag of Summer's Eve!

I don't agree with you on your talent assessment but playoff games are won with heart and guts. Both teams have that and both teams respect each other. This rivalry goes back several years and both teams love playing each other. Win or lose, both teams will leave it on the field.

Its based on a large bag of sour grapes. those "slow beyond the LOS" lineman he so casually refered to allowed enough space for us to rush for 400+ yards in not one but 2 games against Fairview. And in regaurds to his other gripe of holding, both teams were flagged 5 or 6 times for around 30 yards in penalties. Fairview came out strong and didnt give up. We just flat wore them down in the 2nd half.

One thing going for The Rams is, if they win this game like I hope, the Semi finals will be played at Raceland so that will be something to maybe get them up for the game! TWO more home games would be sweet!

We HAVE to put 4 quarters together. Which is something we have yet to do all season. NOW IS THE TIME
11-16-2014, 11:08 PM
We know the Rams won't overlook Paintsville after the Pikeville game. Should be easy to get that point across.
11-17-2014, 01:14 AM
Raceland has never overlooked Paintsville. It will be a better game this time around, both have good coaching and players. I just hope the Paintsvie crowd will be big, it will help the kids and the atmosphere
11-17-2014, 01:29 AM
Paintsville's crowd was suprisingly small. Lets hope that is not the case this go around!
11-17-2014, 02:16 AM
Should be a good one, I think everyone is healthy for this game from Paintsville. I got pulled over in Cattlettsburg last trip up there and a ticket but Boyd Co must be doing good $126.75 court costs? Talk about insult to injury !

Tigers show they are for real

I hate 90% of US 23 for that exact reason. You'll go from 55 down to 35 at the drop of a hat and they always seem to be right there waiting. Anywho, if Raceland puts 4 quarters of football together tey are goina be hard for anyone to beat, but the first half of the recent game with Fairview and the 2nd half of Ironton game, that we cant stroll in and just wait to get going and expect teams to lay down. We will get smacked in the mouth if we do that against the Tigers. I think we start peaking this week.
11-17-2014, 06:38 PM
The key is to come out and step on their throats and give them no hope right off of the bat. We cant come out like we did against Fairview. if we do we will be in more of a ball game than we want. Stick the knife in their throats and twist that way they cant breathe or scream for help. Paintsville is not a team you want hanging around at the end.

Really liking Raceland right now a lot.
Chirico deserves a standing O for how he has turned the Tiger program around but...
Raceland 28
Paintsville 12

I agree. We have done a much better job at that this year than we have in the past. I think the second Fairview game was the first time we really looked past anyone. That coupled with our starters only getting a total of 10 offensive reps and not one of the starters running one rushing play against Phelps, we kind of came out a little lethargic. Then rattled off 2 tds that were easily done and we went into a coasting mode and defensively played soft and slow. That may have been a good thing because we came in the second half like gang busters. I heard the seniors really stepped up in the locker room at half time. I expect the same thing from start to finish this Friday. Paintsvilke is riding high though. I dont expect a blow out until possibly late in the game, POSSIBLY. Go Rams!!

Right now I don't know who going to win this game...I would be proud to play either team...First Williamsburg need to take care of hazard....see y'all soon :howdy:

the way these final 4 teams have been playing in the playoffs, Idk if anyone has a punched ticket. we all knew it would be a great post season, but idk if anyone really knows how much better its goina be. Both eastern regional title games should be great and give us further detail on what to expect in the semis and beyond.

I am excited to see this game! I love both school districts and both exude a lot of class. I guess I want Raceland to win and hopefully get to Bowling Green this year, but I won't be upset to see the Tigers advance.
11-18-2014, 03:53 PM
one thing is for certain, for the 2nd year in a row, a district 7 team will win the region and be playing in the semis! best top to bottom district in the class! outside of the super district and highlands district, possibly in the state.

3rd year in a row scotty. Fairview in 2012 region champs. say what you want but it DID happen
