CSKA Moscow vs Manchester City

Home - CSKA Moscow
Last away matches - W-W-L-L-W-W

CSKA Moscow are the only team in Group E without points after opening two rounds. They have won 8 from 10 played matches in Russian Premier league, including five in a row, but that solid form was not adequate transformed in UEFA Champions league. CSKA Moscow lost to Bayern Munich at home in the last match and suffered heavy defeat to Roma in the first round.Manager Leonid Slutski has a number of casualties to his squad for this game. Mario Fernandes, Rasmus Elm, Vitinho and Kirill Panchenko are all unlikely to feature in this game for the hosts along with Pontus Wernbloom and Alan Dzagoev who are suspended.

Away - Manchester City
Last away matches - W-W-L-D-W-L

Manchester City played solid in the opening two matches, but collected just one point on the last match against Roma. They are in better form in domestic league, won the last three matches and scored 10 goals. Just as their opponents, they have a problem when play in Europe. Their efficiency in the Champions League are on low level and they have scored only one goal. Manager Manuel Pellegrini has a full squad to choose his starting lineup from as all his players came through the weekend destruction of Totteham Hotspur with no reported injuries and we could see Edin Dzeko given a chance to impress his manager having not featured in that game and it will be interesting to see who he is partnered with as Sergio Aguero scored an impressive four goals in that game and looks in the form of his life at the moment.

AS Roma vs Bayern Munchen

Home - AS Roma
Last away matches - L-D-W-W-W-W

Roma’s rise to the top has once again been based on a veteran, but extremely solid, defence. Aside from the 3-2 defeat at Juventus, Roma have conceded just one goal in six games, and the experienced, still truly world-class defender, Ashley Cole has settled in absolutely seamlessly to the Roma backline. There is a real Premier League feel to their line-up, with Cole joined by other former Premier League players in the shape of Yanga-Mbiwa, Maicon and Gervinho. Italian goalkeeper Morgan de Sanctis is the favored player having featured in six of the seven Serie A fixtures they have played in. The club have only conceded four goals so far which is only one more than champions Juventus. Young striker Mattia Destro seems to be starting the season with great form having now scored three goals so far, although Carlos Tevez is leading the goals race having scored double.

Away - Bayern Munchen
Last away matches - W-W-D-D-W-L

Bayern warmed up for this tricky looking tie by walloping Werder Bremen at home, and the bad news for the home side is that Franck Ribery is back in the Bayern team and apparently firing on all cylinders. A front four of Ribery, Robben, Muller and Lewandowski looks pretty intimidating, and there is no doubt that Bayern have the quality to win the entire competition once more this season. It comes as no surprise that Manuel Neuer is the number one goalkeeper with him also earning that same title when comparing him to the worlds best. Pepe Reina is still waiting to play his first game for the club since signing from Liverpool, which seems like such a wasted talent to sit and warm a bench. Mario Gotze (7) and Robert Lewandowski (4) are doing very well when it comes to the goals, and we also see Thomas Muller having scored 5 in all competitions.

Barcelona vs Ajax

Home - Barcelona
Last away matches - W-L-D-W-W-W

With a squad of superstars Barcelona have made hard work of winning lately, its been mostly second half dominations throughout the last month and while I think that the Nou Camp crowd will expect a big performance on Tuesday night I cant help but feel that the home teams first half struggles may continue. Neymar and Messi have been brilliant averaging a goal a game each the two south american superstars elevate Barcelona to the elite level but at the moment I think Barcelona's midfield are struggling to impose themselves. Xavi looks like his influence is on the wain, Iniesta while still brilliant is not having as much joy in the creative department and Luis Enrique is still settling in as manager. It seems shortsighted to have a negative outlook on Barcelona while the team is top of the league by four points but I believe they will struggle this season against the better teams and their first real league test will come next Saturday when they visit the Bernebeau.

Away - Ajax
Last away matches - D-D-W-W-W-L

For Ajax they may be hoping that Barcelona have one eye firmly fixed on the upcoming El Classico and may not be fully prepared for what should be a tough game. Frank De Boar's side have plenty of ability both in the midfield and up front and will not be underprepared going into this game. Defensively Ajax are not bad either and they will have a gameplan to deal with Messi and Neymar, whether they will be able to hold the two for the entire ninty minutes is another matter. With Sigborsson and Milik though De Boar has two goalscoring threats that can keep Barcelona's porous defence honest.

BATE Borisov coach Aleksandr Yermakovich believes his side can continue to emerge as surprise contenders in UEFA Champions League Group H when they face Shakhtar Donetsk in Belarus on Tuesday.Yermakovich's side looked hopelessly outclassed when they were beaten 6-0 in Porto in their opening group stage game in September. But they fought back with a fine 2-1 win over Athletic Club at the end of the same month to move up to second place in the group. That result was the first of a run of four straight wins in all competitions which helped Borisov consolidate their narrow lead at the top of the Belarusian Premier League.

Anderlecht vs Arsenal

Anderlecht have only managed two points in eight Champions League games. And they have not won in eight Champions League matches and Arsenal will need to win both home and away if they are to avoid finishing second for the four consecutive season. They will probably compete with Galatasaray for the Europa League spot. Both sides have 1 point each, which they got from their game in the opening round. This Wednesday, Anderlecht play against Arsenal and grabbing at least a point in this clash would get them a step closer to the Champions League.

AS Monaco vs Benfica

Home - AS Monaco
Last away matches - D-D-W-L-W-L

AS Monaco have completely reversed their slow start to the season that saw them lose 3 of their first 5 competitive matches, all of which came in the French Ligue 1. But their first match in Group C of the Champions League marked a change in their form, as they utilized a 1:0 home victory over Bayer Leverkusen to ignite their play. Now, they have won 4 times, drawn twice, and lost just once in their last 7 contests, a stretch that included impressive road draws with both Zenit St. Petersburg and Paris Saint-Germain. While the offensive side of the ball remains a real question mark for Monaco since the sales of Colombian duo Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez, they have begun to find the fine defensive form that helped them to a 2nd place finish last season in Ligue 1. They have now conceded just 2 goals in their last 7 matches in all competitions, and if Dimitar Berbatov, who has managed to score just twice in 12 contests, can find his scoring boots, the Red and Whites could be enjoying an extended run in this season’s Champions League competition. Of course, the Bulgarian has picked up an ankle injury and will miss out for this match, and the recently-returned Lacina Traore will likely lead the line.

Away - Benfica
Last away matches - W-L-W-W-W-L

Benfica Lisbon picked up where they left off from last season in their domestic exploits, opening their campaign with 9 straight unbeaten while managing to claim victory on 8 of those occasions. 22 goals through that stretch will have manager Jorge Jesus delighted with the form of his attacking players, especially that of Eduardo Salvio, Nicolas Gaitan, and impressive Brazilian youngster Talisca. However, their European involvement hasn’t been so successful, as the Portuguese club fell to defeat in both of their opening matches and now find themselves in last place of Group C at 4 points adrift the leaders and this week’s opponent, Monaco. This match will hold critical implications on Benfica’s chances to advance to the knockout round, and while they will take encouragement from their domestic form, the majority of the competition in Europe is far stronger than that of the Primeira Liga. Nevertheless, Jorge Jesus knows that there are still 4 matches remaining, 2 of which are at home, and he very well could be content taking a point on the road against the current table-toppers.

Atletico, who were beaten in last season's final by Real Madrid, opened their campaign with a surprise defeat at Olympiacos, but recorded a 1-0 win over Italian champions Juventus last time out. Atletico Madrid are the reigning team of the Primera, but it seems they’ll find hard time to keep the title this season as the competition is fierce. They surely want to compete for a title, if not in the Liga BBVA, than in some other competition. That is why the Champions League game with Malmo is very important to them.Atleti have very right to hope for a good result in this game as their players are way much better than Malmo’s. They proved their quality by beating the Italian heavyweights Juventus in the previous round.

Through two matches, Bayer has won once and lost once. The German outfit lost 1-0 away to Monaco, but then responded by beating Benfica 3-1 at home in the second playday. Domestically, Leverkusen has gone unbeaten over four consecutive matches, though three of those encounters have ended in draws. In the Bundesliga table, Bayer can currently be found in sixth place, only one point back of the top four.Leverkusen was last in action on October 18th in a 3-3 draw against Stuttgart. Heung-Min Son scored twice and set up Karim Bellarabi for the other in an all-around stellar performance. Along with Son and Bellarabi, who have eight league goals between them so far, Stefan Kiessling is another player to watch come Wednesday. If those three are on form, it's going to be hard for anyone to beat them, especially on in their own stadium.

The Russian side has picked up four points through two fixtures, beating Benfica 2-0 away and then holding Monaco in a 0-0 away draw.On the domestic front, Zenit is enjoying another splendid showing. They're tops of the table, two points clear of CSKA Moscow at time of writing. That being said, Hulk and company had to settle for a 2-2 draw in their latest league meeting against Krasnodar. After going down 2-0 in the first half, Zenit was able to fight back, with Hulk and Javi Garcia both getting their names on the scoresheet.Despite only getting a point, Zenit has been on an incredible run, having gone unbeaten in 16 consecutive matches. After the 2:1 win over Fenerbahce at home, Galatasaray climbed onto the top two of Turkish Super Lig but was overtaken by Besiktas on Sunday evening. However, Cesare Prandelli’s side have picked up just one point from their two Champions League fixtures this season. So the turks are in danger of falling short to Galatasaray’s target of reaching the Champions League round of last sixteen after the 4-1 away defeat against Arsenal. Before that, Galatasaray were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Belgian club Anderlecht in the opening group game. The Italian coach Prandelli has declared that he will select a full strength side because he has no injury worries ahead of the game.

Ilkay Gundogan returned to action for Borussia Dortmund‘s, but couldn’t prevent his side from conceding two goals. BVB dropped to 14th on seven points after their third consecutive defeat. They are just three points above bottom club Werder Bremen. In contrast to their recent Bundesliga performances, Dortmund have six points from possible six in UEFA Champions League. Liverpool vs Real Madrid

Home - Liverpool
Last away matches - W-L-L-W-L-L

Liverpool have struggled in the early portions of their 2014/2015 campaign, but they seem to finally be getting their foot in the door with back to back Premiere League wins. Their last Champions League match resulted in a 1-0 loss to FC Basel (whom Real Madrid trounced 5-1). A very important issue for Liverpool will be the absence of Daniel Sturridge. The British forward is said to be out for up to two weeks with a calf injury. This is very grim news for the Reds, as they will require a strong offensive presence to maintain any hopes at taking points from Wednesday’s match. So far, Mario Balotelli has been nothing but a very expensive disappointment for Liverpool. The Italian striker’s bleak form has not improved since his first appearance; he is showing zero goals in six Premiere League appearances for Liverpool. In the absence of Sturridge, Balotelli must find some sort of confidence and connect with the Red’s young gun, Raheem Sterling, for their squad to take even a single point from this match.

Away - Real Madrid
Last away matches - W-W-W-W-L-L

Real Madrid have not lost in eight games and Cristiano Ronaldo is already setting goal-scoring records in La Liga. Madrid are at the top of Group B with six points, while Liverpool are tied for second place with FC Basel. Gareth Bale has been left out of Wednesday’s squad with buttock injury. This will be a blow to Real Madrid, but their bench is so deep with talent that it most certainly will not be a crushing blow. Ronaldo has surprisingly never scored at Anfield, but when taking note of his unabated goal-scoring form of late, Wednesday could prove to be yet another hurdle conquered by the Portuguese phenom. The key to Madrid taking the three points in this match is to get Liverpool on their heels early. They must make things hectic for the Liverpool defense and not let them sit back with any comfortability. This will stir up an already frantic Liverpool squad and create even more goal-scoring chances for Real.

Krasnodar is one of the who do not have big stars in their own ranks, but are playing very well as a team and very hard to defeated. Against strong rivals, they are particularly well motivated and is currently playing host today better away. You have two Cup defeats conceded and indeed both at home, while they currently have a series of six games without defeat. Within the framework of the European League they played twice in a draw, while they have been lying to both Lille and against Everton in the lead, but could not endure to the end. On Saturday they played the big game against Zenit in the context of the championship and again they have 2:0 out it and then sifted. It ended in a draw then. Lately plays almost the same starting and since Krasnodar does not have any particularly strong occupied bench, will likely accrue the same starting lineup this time. Only in midfield and in attack can cause dilemmas may here and there.

Wolfsburg has started the current season is not good, but in the meantime it's been getting better and the team has already climbed to the fifth championship position. The residue on the second place is minimal. This is due to three league wins in a row. The Wolves have not won in the top three rounds and now it looks better. Now they need to improve only the situation in the Europe League, where they have not won in the first two rounds. This should thus be here a crucial game. It is the wolves but realized that it will not be easy in Krasnodar. Coach Hecking rotates the starting lineup often to give the players time to rest. He tried to Augsburg with Bendtner in the starting lineup, but it did not go well and thus was again Olic in the starting XI. Now should the recovered Dost start, while Bendtner is injured. On Saturday, the Wolves have defeated Freiburg away while D. Caligiuri was brilliant. Rodriguez is injured and Hunt is not there, which is a handicap.

Lille vs Everton

Last away matches - L-D-L-D-L-W

Lille take on Everton at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Europa League - Group Stage. In Group H, there are still Krasnodar and Wolfsburg. This is the 3rd round. This is a very interesting group and all four teams still have a chance to fight for one of the top two spots in the group. Otherwise, the hosts in their Ligue have very strange results. Many experts are expecting them to make better, however, they are very inconsistent in the new season. True, they still have a great defense; however, they are very inefficient in the attack. Anyway, Lille ranked on the 2nd place in Group H with two points after two games. In the first round they drew 1:1 in front of their home fans with Krasnodar. The ext match against Wolfsburg ended with the same score. After a good start of the season in the league, they are in a small crisis and lost two consecutive league meetings. After 8 rounds they had 15 points, and were on the 3rd place in the league. Additionally, in their first eight meetings they conceded just two goals. This good series found an end with the defeat 3: 0 from Lyon. Last weekend, then, they lost 2 1 at home against Giungamp, which were last in the league table before that game. After this two lost games, they fell from the 3rd to the 8th place. In front of their home crowd Lille won just three of nine games played this season. Probably Divock Origi wants to show himself from the best side, because he is on loan from the biggest league rival Everton, Liverpool. He is also Lille's topscorer this season with 5 goals (1 in EL). Otherwise, Marcos Lopes will be out of this game.

Away - Everton
Last away matches - L-D-D-L-W-D

Everton broke the embarrassing run of five matches without a win. After the victory in Europa League against Wolfsburg on the 18th September, they could not win for a whole month. Out of 5 games, they lost three and drew two. In four of those five matches, Everton fell behind in the 1st half and only in one meeting they managed to take the lead for a while. Ending this embarrassing series will have a good impact on the team of Roberto Martinez. Returning to last weekends game against Aston Villa on Saturday, Everton won 3 0 and the goals were scored by: Lukaku, Jagielka and Coleman. In away games Everton are not playing well this season. From 6 games they have won just one, on Sept. 13 against West Brom. In their other five games, they made 3 draws and lost twice. Otherwise, their manager Roberto Martinez will not be able to count on the Stones and K. Mirallas in this game.

Thus, it slipped to fifth place in the table. With a record of five wins, three draws and four defeats total of 18 points were taken from the previous 12 games. On the table leaders from Zurich you already points to a distance of eight points. The Europa League places are just three points behind but still within reach. This season Bern could only partly convincing in the Euro League. On opening day the Schweizer celebrated a 5:0 drubbing of Slovan Bratislava. Subsequently, however, they lost 1:3 against Sparta Prague. With a record of one win and one defeat is ranked at the third place in Group I. The projection on the competition for Prague and the Young Boys is three points. In Serie A, you can not be satisfied with the performance shown. Only three wins have been run in the seven matches played. These achievements are compared with two draws and two defeats. On the weekend they have drew 2:2 with Inter Milan. One should go twice in leadership. In the end, however, no three points were retracted. In Serie A, the residue is on the league leaders Juventus already eight points. Thessaloniki is in Group K of the UEFA Europa League after two days on the 3rd position in the table. To kick off the team coach Angelos Anastasiadis won with 6:1 against Dinamo Minsk. Stefanos Athanasiadis in particular, who scored a hat-trick within 17 minutes could shine. In the second group match PAOK Thessaloniki subject with 0:2 against the French Cup winner EA Guingamp. Because of this failure the team stands in front of the home match against Fiorentina under pressure. If you collect the second defeat and still win EA Guingamp in parallel play, then the next round would move across the distance. Wants to prevent at all costs the Greek runner. In the domestic league so far it runs really well. PAOK Thessaloniki is the leader and collected in six games, 16 of the possible 18 points. In addition, the Anastasiadis Elf is extremely strong at home. Season Cross had in the last nine official matches on home soil no defeat. So I'm relatively sure that PAOK Thessaloniki will bring against Fiorentina at least one point.

Fiorentina leads the group K with the optimum yield of six points. First, the team won with result 3:0 against EA Guingamp. This was followed by another sovereign 3:0 win against Dinamo Minsk. Accordingly, the team coached by Vincenzo Montella sets course for the round of the UEFA Europa League. In the Italian Serie A start to the season, however, was far from satisfactory. Florence is located only new points at position 9 in the table. The residue on the winners Juventus is already ten points. On the final day the Fiorentina lost at home as a complete surprise with 0:2 against Lazio. Consequently, the team is not traveling in the best mood to Thessaloniki. In addition, with Mario Gomez and Giuseppe Rossi turn key employees. Therefore, the chances of an away win are not very good. While you should Fiorentina, the last away three times scored consecutively not underestimate, but a victory in Hesse boiler of Thessaloniki I cannot imagine not easy. This may not be the optimum yield, but still you can be happy, also because of the equalizer against HNK Rijeka only succeeded in injury time. On Thursday, the reigning European League winners must compete at Standard Liege. With a win, the team could very well push open the door. The Andalusians tear with a lot of confidence to Belgium. Recently celebrated the team against Deportivo La Coruña (4:1) and the FC Elche (2:0) in each case a clear victory. In addition, the Sevilla FC in the Primera Division is after eight games at position 2 in the table. So the team of coach Unai Emery is currently the first followers of FC Barcelona. Seville has to absorb the Abgäng the player Ivan Rakitić, Alberto Moreno and Federico Fazio very good. The main reason is that the new additions Grzegorz Krychowiak, Aleix Vidal, Nicolás Pareja, Daniel Carriço and Benoît Trémoulinas have taken. For me, the Andalusians are also in this season a hot contender to win the Europa League. Since Sevilla has a lot of quality in attack, you have to expect one or the other goal. Moreover, in the last four competitive games of Seville average fell 3.75 goals per game. Timothée Kolodziejczak fails locked. Furthermore, the long-term injured Kévin Gameiro and Sebastián Cristóforo also not available.

Sam Allardyce has denied that he was given an ultimatum by the board to try and improve the style of football played by West Ham United this season, but there is no denying that there has been an improvement. The Hammers have been affected adversely by injuries over the last couple of years and they are about as healthy as they have been since returning to the Premier League which has shown by results on the field.last season many people would have thought this game would be very easy for the visitors, however West Ham United come into this game of the back of two straight wins. They also beat newly promoted team such as Queen Park Rangers and and Burnley. They lost to Manchester United, however they had a very good result in beating Liverpool. West Ham have enjoyed their best start to a Premier League season for a long time and as a result they sit in fourth position in the table. Enner Valencia was signed after impressing in the World Cup and what a signing it looks like as he is finding the net quite frequently from Midfield, which is not his preferred position.

The Champions League continues to be a conundrum that is impossible to solve for Manchester City after they blew a 0-2 lead in Russia against CSKA Moscow during the week. They would have at least been boosted by the fact that Roma were beaten heavily at home by Bayern Munich which gives Manchester City a chance to qualify for the Last 16,but now they focus on closing the gap to Chelsea in the PremierLeague.Manchester City had quite a bad start to the season and a loss at home to Stoke City shocked everyone, however they picked up their form a little bit beating Liverpool and drawing against leaders Chelsea, which means they are now sat behind Chelsea in 2nd place in the table. They have had a bad time in the Champions league as they have drawn two and lost one, which means it is going to be an up hill battle if they want to qualify from the group stages of the competition.

There have been a lot of talk about what is wrong with Liverpool after their comprehensive home defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League. That performance had been coming for Liverpool after escaping with some results and they are far from the level that saw them come so close to winning the Premier League title last season.Brendan Rodgers refused to put a time scale on Daniel Sturridge’s comeback during his Thursday afternoon press conference so the England striker could be out for many more weeks with his fresh calf injury. Attacking midfielder Suso is out until December with a groin strain – by which time he might have agreed a deal to move elsewhere such is the confusion surrounding his existence at Anfield. Out of favour centre-back Mamadou Sakho is out for at least another ten days after he confirmed via Facebook that his thigh injury is still hampering his ability to figure for the Reds. Jon Flanagan is the player facing the longest spell out with the young full-back out until at least mid December after his knee operation.

They haven't won any of their last 5 away games in all competitions since beating Queens Park Rangers on the opening day and Hull have lost 3 of those games although did have a confidence boosting 2-2 draw at Arsenal last weekend.Steve Bruce has issues of his own to deal with and he travels to Merseyside with five injuries harming his squad. Defender Michael Dawson should be out with an ankle knock whilst goalkeepers Steve Harper and Allan McGregor are missing with arm and shoulder injuries respectively. Southampton vs Stoke City

Southampton are one of five teams in the Premier League with an unblemished record on home soil, and thanks to last weekend’s 8-0 demolition of Sunderland on the south coast, Ronald Koeman’s team remain third in the league table with a goal difference only second to that of league leaders Chelsea. Koeman will prepare his team for the first of two games in quick succession against Stoke, with Wednesday’s trip to the Britannia Stadium in the Capital One Cup also likely to come into his thoughts. With no fresh injury concerns, only James Ward-Prowse, Sam Gallagher and Jay Rodriguez are out for the hosts, who will be searching for their first win over Stoke since returning to the top-flight.In fact all four games home and away between the two teams have ended in stalemate, with 1-1 and 2-2 the results from last season.

Stoke have produced a mixed set of scorelines from their start to this season. Last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Swansea City saw them record back-to-back home successes, after defeats to Aston Villa and Leicester at the Britannia earlier on in the campaign. It’s been a similar tale on their travels too. An impressive win at Manchester City was followed up by a 3-1 defeat to Sunderland on Wearside which has left them with 11 points to show from their opening eight matches.Potters boss Mark Hughes was relieved to secure a win heading into this game, and feels their total return of points to-date is a fair one: “We are up into the top ten now which is a position that we probably feel our performances have warranted for the best part of the season so far,” said the Welshman, who makes another return to the club he spent two years with as a player during the late 1990s.

Sunderland vs Arsenal

Guy Poyet has no new injuries to contend with for what looks like a difficult fixture against Arsenal, but nevertheless he has a selection dilemma. His side conceded 8 goals in an embarrassing display at Southampton last time out, and he must decide if he wants to trust the same group of players this weekend, or make an example of some by making radical changes to his side. I feel it is more likely that he will opt for the former option both because the Uruguayan has not got the largest squad to work with, and also the players who performed so poorly against the Saints have done relatively well in the previous 7 games, conceding only 7 goals in that time. The nature of the defeat will possibly mean a recall for Adam Johnson and Jack Rodwell to his midfield, both of which were introduced off the bench in the blowout. Whatever the lineup, he will want to put in an impressive performance against the Gunners in front of a home crowd, and silence their critics by so doing. The Wearsiders are unbeaten so far at home this season and if they can extend that record past this weekend they will feel they have weathered the storm.

Away - Arsenal
Last away matches - W-L-W-L-D-D

Arsene Wenger has several players nearing a return to active duty with Theo Walcott key among them. The highly anticipated return of the speedy England international is only enhanced by the injury in the last match to Mesut Ozil and the absence through suspension of Jack Wilshire. He is unlikely to start the game, but Arsene Wenger will hope to be able to introduce him as a substitute at some point. Against what should be a tiring Black Cats defence, his appearance as a second half substitute could be key to Arsenal’s chances of getting the win. Ozil and Wilshire will most likely be replaced in the four behind Danny Welbeck by Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Santi Cazorla. Welshman Aaron Ramsey will return to the starting lineup after being named for the past 2 league games on the bench, following his return from a hamstring injury. In defence, Laurent Koscielny is the most recent Arsenal defender to go down with an injury. He will be replaced in the centre of defence by Callum Chambers who returns from a suspension that forced his absence against Hull.

Swansea City come into this game after a disappointing 2-1 defeat away to Stoke City last weekend, with much controversy over Stoke’s penalty it seems as if Gary Monk is unable to get over the decision that saw Victor Moses awarded a penalty for what seemed to be a dive. After starting the season so well, Swansea have declined and have only managed to pick up one win in their last 5 games. The Swans have failed to win a BPL game since August when they defeated West Brom 3-0. They currently sit on level points with an Arsenal and a win against Leicester could see them move up to as high as 4th place.

Leicester City head into this match after a hugely disappointing defeat to the then bottom of the league club Newcastle United. His team have showed promise at times like when they made a comeback to defeat Manchester United 5-3 but have lacked consistency in their results. After narrowly avoiding relegation from La Liga in the last campaign, Almeria fans will likely be pretty pleased with a start to this season that has garnered nine points from eight games and an early season four point buffer above the drop zone. What they are unlikely to be happy with however, is the Andalusian side’s form in their own stadium which has been less than impressive. In their four home games so far this year Francisco Rodriguez’s side have managed just three draws and a defeat, and if they are to stay clear of a relegation battle that home form will need to improve quickly. There would be no better time for the red and whites to record that first home win of the season (12/5 with Titanbet) than at the weekend against Athletic club and Bilbao’s form is such that they may also not get a better opportunity to do so. If Almeria can grab all three points on Saturday, they will stretch their gap over their weekend opponents to a not inconsiderable seven points, which could prove crucial by the end of the season.

If you could roll the clock back just a few months you would find an Athletic Bilbao club basking in an atmosphere of celebration and optimism. They had a season ahead of them where they would be Champions League football after a wonderful fourth place finish last campaign, and they would be doing so in their brand new stadium. Bring the clock back to the present day however, and the picture is quite different. Ernesto Valverde’s side are indeed still playing in Europe’s premier club competition but doing so has seemed to have a near disastrous effect on their domestic form.Bilbao have managed just five points from their first eight games and occupy the ever precarious 17th position in La Liga, being outside of the relegation zone by dint of only their better goal difference than Elche and Levante.

Queens Park Rangers vs Aston Villa

Queens Park Rangers are really struggling this season, currently they sit on the bottom of the English Premier League table. “I’m still confident we will be fine this season,” said manager Harry Redknapp. Indeed, there can be found some positive signs, for example last home game against Liverpool (2:3 loss) in which Harry Redknapp’s men played really well but were simply unfortunate. “I’ve been pleased with our home form. We were excellent against Liverpool and we’ll need another performance like that again against Villa on Monday. The quality and the spirit we showed on Sunday was excellent from the first minute. The fans were bouncing, Loftus Road was loud – and we need that again on Monday under the lights,” said Redknapp. He expects tough match on Monday: “This is a tough league – there are no easy games – and Villa will come to Loftus Road looking to win the game. They’re quick, good on the counter and will be tough to play. But we’re at home and I’ve been pleased with our form and I’m confident in this group of players.” Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch remain sidelined with harmstring injuries, Abel Taarabt is ill and he also won’t feature in this encounter. Nedum Onuoha and Sandro are doubts.

Aston Villa had good start to the season, but recently they suffered from 4 consecutive defeats without scoring a single goal. Team played especially poorly last week, against Everton (0:3 loss). “That's the first game I have come away thinking 'We absolutely deserved nothing.' We never started the game right,” said manager Paul Lambert. However, he is optimistic about the upcoming clash against QPR: “This week has been really good. Training has been really positive. I think the lads know they never performed against Everton. We're going to have to go and earn the right at Loftus Road on Monday. It's a tough place. It's a difficult game but we're looking forward to it. The response has been really good this week. We'll be ready for it.” Philippe Senderos and Nathan Baker remain as doubts for this game. Good news is that Ron Vlaar and Christian Benteke are back. “It's good to have Ron back because his presence is big. He's the captain of the club. With Christian, he needs a bit more time because of the amount of months he has been off. But to get those two back was a big bonus for us,” said Lambert.

The host of Darmstadt had an unexpectedly good season opener and accordingly they are all the time in the upper half of the table. Lately they have but with the game form slowly. The current losing streak is three games, but there is still no reason for concern. Home advantage is the main weapon of Darmstadt, who were undefeated until the last home game. Away they were defeated only once, but the other four away games, they have not even won, but played only a draw. All this shows us how strong they are home, but the first warning was clear with the 1:4 home defeat. On the final day they were close to first away win of the current season, but have the hosts from Bochum in the final minute equalizer for final 1:1 achieved. A similar course of the game they had before three rounds in Berlin, which shows us how inexperienced they are. Her coach Schuster has changed little in the first team for three rounds and what the best news for him is surely the return of defender Balogun.

Then they have a remarkable one in Bochum. Against the very strong Leipziger they did not have it easy, but just like against the FCK has her Schopf midfielder played the decisive role. Your trainer Ismael has not changed in the last three league games in the first team. In the course of this week Bihr and Sylvestr had some problems, but it looks like they will be able to play. Helsingborg are currently located on the 9th place with 10 wins, 9 draws and 9 defeats with totl goal difference of 40:39 after 28 rounds in this season. Anyway, they are in great form lately. They have 3 wins (Brommapojkarna 3-1, 1-2 Atvidabergs, Kalmar 4-1) one draw (Malmo FF 1-1) and 1 loss (Falkenbergs 2-0) in the last five games. On the other hand, they also have good results at home. They are unbeaten in their last three games at home. Helsingborg have 4 wins (4-1 Elfsborg, AIK 3-1, 3-1 Brommapojkarna, Kalmar 4-1) and one defeat with a goal difference of 15: 8 in the last five games at home. Helsingborg's home record stands at 7 wins, 5 draw and 2 defeats with goal difference of 26:15 and a lack of goals has been their downfall having failed to score on three occasions whilst keeping a clean sheet just once to date. In any case, hosts for this match are without much significance. In any case, they have to wait for next season to create better results. In the last game, they were defeated 2-0 away against Falkenbergs. However, they will have a very strong opponent in this match at home. Of course, they will try to make a favorable result for their fans at home. Nevertheless, they will have a very difficult job in this game. Anyway, attacker Accam (17 goals) is their likeliest anytime goalscorer, also Dahlberg (7 goals) can be useful in this game.

On the other hand, guests are currently on 2nd place with 13 wins, 11 draws and 4 defeats with goal difference 50:33 total with 50 points in the last 28 rounds in this season. Otherwise, they are in great form lately. So, they have four wins and one defeat in the last five games. Otherwise, they have two losses in the last two games. Otherwise, they had five wins with a goal difference of 14: 3 in the last 5 away games. So, let's take a look at Goteborg first and they're currently occupying 2nd place in the Allsvenskan having now gone unbeaten in their last five league matches. It must be admitted; on top of the table was a large crowd. AIK has two points less than the guests. They also have a large appetite for one of the top three places in the league. Elfsborg also want to place which takes them in Europa League. So, this will be a very exciting end of the season in Sweden Allsvenskan. Goteborg's away record stands at a very interesting result. They are simply unbeatable. However, they were defeated in the last match against Norrkoping 3-0. Otherwise, their leading goalscorer with Vibe with 21 goals and he looks to be their likeliest anytime goalscorer here in this match. The visitors have aspirations to be one of the top three places in the league this season. They are unbeaten in their last five games. It is for them an excellent indicator and more for the one point in this match. However, this will not be an easy job. By the way, they picked up a very important point against Hacken in the last game. They smashed their opponents in the second half 3-1 with Vibe, Engvall and Zohore. Some people want coach Walter Mazzarri to be sacked, some support him. Money are big problem as Inter would have to pay him 10 mln euro if they decide to terminate contract. Recently Erick Thohir, Inter’s president, spoke about whole situation: “I trust Mazzarri and his work. Last season we wanted to finish on European spots and we did that. We must analyze whole situation. We want to give him another chance, there are many rumours now. Next two games, Wednesday’s clash against Sampdoria and Satursday’s match in Parma will decide about his future.” He also spoke about aims for this season: “We aim for top 4 finish, but it’s not impossible to end season on 3rd spot and qualify to the Champions League.” That’s what he said around 2 days ago. However yesterday Thohir spoke again: “I want to repeat once again that I believe in Mazzarri, this team, whole project, in 100%. Of course results are important, but we won’t be making any decisions based on results of single games. Apparently some of my words were misinterpreted.

The class difference between the sides from the first half of the table and the ones below them is really big and despite that the we saw just eight rounds being gone, this difference is already more than obvious and as it looks like there will be around eight clubs that will be fighting for the top places. And the fact that Cagliari is currently on thirteenth place in the ranks, they are with a whole four defeats after those first eight matches and the fact that despite having lost half of their matches and being able to collect just eight points in those meetings (2-2-4), they are still closer than the middle of the table than in the relegation zone is enough prove of the fact that right now the difference between the top clubs and the rest of the field is more than big and even way playing at home, those sides from the bottom half of the table still should not have much chances.

And their season so far is more than good, having in mind that for sure they should be fighting for nothing more than a place around the Europa League matches, but so far it looks like the new additions and the new style of play that Indzaghi practice are looking good. After the first eight rounds have been gone, Milan had lost just one single time, having managed to win a whole four times in those meetings and with the fifteen points collected so far in those matches (4-3-1), despite being on sixth place in the ranks.

The popular violas play on two fronts and have passed a series of seven games without defeat recently, but after they have passed a very bad championship game against Lazio. As part of the Europe League on the other hand they are playing well and with maximum nine points from three games already further in the next round. Last weekend they have the championship match away at Milan played much more relaxed and have a 1:1 draw. Now we expect that they will do something concrete at home to Udinese and with the aim to bring the three very important points in Serie A. In this way, the proteges of coach Montella would namely be back in the top half of the table, where they actually are, objectively speaking. As for the squad, we believe that it will remain unchanged compared to the game against Milan. Not here are the injured midfielder Fernandez and Pizarro and striker Rossi and Gomez, while the suspended central defender Rodriguez can not play.

Away on the other hand they are not as successful and have picked up just three points in the three games stored until now. The squad is led by veteran Di Natale, while the young Andrea Stramaccioni on the bench instead Guidolino. He has changed the starting lineup equal to 4-3-2-1 and it works very well until now. So there is something to change in this duel against Florence no reason. Not here are the injured goalkeeper Brkic and defender Gabriel Silva and Riera.

Juventus vs Genoa

Last away matches - L-D-L-W-W-W

Juventus lead Serie A by 3 points but they really need to sort their away form out if they are to keep Roma at bay. In all competitions,Juventus have now gone 3 away games without a win, and have scored just 1 goal. Hardly good, but it means they should be super focused for this one. Juventus drew 1-1 in their last Serie A away game, at Sassuolo. That came on the back of a 3-2 home win against main rivals Roma, but those games were bookended by 1-0 away losses in the Champions League. Juve were beaten 1-0 at Atletico Madrid and were then shocked by the same score in Greece when Olympiakos grabbed themselves a solitary goal in their match. Still, we must remember that Juventus have conceded just 3 goals in 8 games this season, and have a league high 6 clean sheets. They dropped points at Sassuolo but those were the first and only points dropped in a while. Indeed, Juventus have won 14 of their last 15 league games going back to last season.

Away - Genoa
Last away matches - W-W-D-D-W-L

Genoa are not an offensive worry for anyone, even at home, failing to score more than 1 goals in their last 8 home games in Serie A. They have not beaten Juventus since 2009, and in fact have suffered more defeats against Juve than any other side and conceded more goals to the side from Turin than against any other. It's 56 defeats and 196 Serie A goals conceded so far. And both those numbers should go up.

AS Roma vs Cesena

Last away matches - D-L-D-W-W-W

Roma will want to get a win in this match after failure in their last match to beat Sampdoria away from home. Roma had a good start in Serie A as well as in the Champions League. However defeat to Juventus in week 6 and then last week's thrashing against Bayern Munich in the Champions League plus a goalless draw against Sampdoria was a series of results they would want to forget. Roma dominated possession and chances but failed to penetrate a stubborn Sampdoria side. Roma will welcome back Kostas Manolas for this match after he served his two match suspension, but they are still without the likes of Federico Balzaretti, Leandro Castan, Douglas Maicon, Seydou Keita and Kevin Strootman who will only be back in November.

Cesena comes into this match without a win in their last game but did gave a good account of themseleves in the defeat against Inter Milan last weekend. Coach Pierpaolo Bisoli was pleased with his side's fighting qualities after losing goalkeeping prodigy Nicola Leali to a red card earlier in the match. Bisoli will be relying on top scorer Alejandro Rodriguez and Guido Marilungo to unlock the tough Roma's defence in this difficult away clash. Cesena will be without Leali through suspension, as well as Riccardo Cazzola, Nico Pulzetti and Andrea Tabanelli through injury.

Deportivo would love to pick up a win in front of their home faithful after struggling to adapt to life in the top-flight since being promoted last season. They are languishing down in 16th place in the league table after winning two, drawing two and losing five of their games so far, although there have been signs of life in recent weeks as Depor stunned Valencia 3-0 in their last home match before drawing 0-0 at Espanyol.Victor Fernandez's men are 6/5 for the win with Bet Victor after ended a four-match losing run with victory over Valencia at the Riazor and they will be confident of overcoming a Getafe side who start the weekend in 12th place in the league table. The Deep Blues have won three, drawn one and lost five of their league outings and they are 14/5 to win Friday's match, while they are 23/10 to draw.It is difficult to make a convincing case for either team but Getafe's away form must be something of a concern as they are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road. Cosmin Contra's side have won one and lost three of their four away games and it is worth noting that they have conceded the first goal in all four of those matches.

Away - Getafe
Last away matches - W-L-L-L-D-L

Getafe have conceded the first goal in 78% of their fixtures this season and Deportivo look good value to score the first goal at 3/4 with Ladbrokes. Depor's games have tended to produce goals as 67% have involved over 2.5 goals, while their home matches are averaging 4.5 goals per game! Those statistics are slightly skewed by the fact they lost 8-2 at home to Real Madrid last month but it does highlight how flimsy their defence can be as they have conceded 19 goals already. Fernandez will hope to shore his team up a bit but they must maintain some sort of an attacking threat and Isaac Cuenca, who is 15/2 to score first with SkyBet, will need to add to his tally of two goals for the season quickly. They take on a Getafe side who were a touch unlucky in losing 1-0 to Atletico Madrid last time out. They had to play much of that game with ten men and the result was their first defeat in four league outings. The Deep Blues will be confident of getting a positive result out of this trip to the Riazor though as they have only lost one of their last seven against Depor and a statistical quirk shows that the last four meetings between these sides have produced five penalties.

Newcastle United vs Liverpool

Newcastle United are unbeaten in 4 games since the loss to Stoke City that seemed certain to cost Alan Pardew his job as manager and the side have won 3 in a row in all competitions coming into this one. They are unbeaten at home since losing to Manchester City on the opening weekend of the season and Newcastle have won their last game at St James' Park against Leicester City 1-0.Newcastle’s biggest concern is that of Papiss Cisse’s knee injury which has kept him out of the last two matches. The Senegalese international will undergo a late fitness test to determine his availability for the game but if not, Ayoze Perez is likely to lead the line having grabbed the winning goal against Spurs. De Jong is a long term absentee due to a thigh injury and Davide Santon is likely to make a comeback from his knee problem at the end of next month.

Liverpool had won 2 of 8 games in all competitions before the 2-1 win over Swansea, but they haven't been producing good performances in that time which has built pressure on the team. Before the win over Swansea, the Reds had failed to score in 2 consecutive games and had been taught something of a lesson by Real Madrid in the Champions League. They won their last away game at Queens Park Rangers which ended a run of consecutive away defeats in all competitions.Daniel Sturridge is again out of action for at least another week having injured his calf a fortnight ago. This will mean Balotelli is likely to start the match with Fabio Borini an option as a second striker. Jose Enrique has also been ruled out of their clash against his former club after suffering a slight knee injury. Sakho is missing due it a hip injury until early November with Suso and Flanagan being long term absentees.

Last away matches - W-W-L-W-L-D

Arsenal have only lost 1 of their last 6 games in all competitions and they are unbeaten in 3 games since their 2-0 loss to Chelsea including winning back to back games at Anderlecht and Sunderland. They have only won 1 of their last 5 home games in all competitions including a 2- 2 home draw with Hull City in Arsenal's last Premier League games at the Emirates Stadium. Injuries are beginning to clear up a little for Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal team which are balancing Champions League and Premier League commitments. With a battle likely to develop for places in the top four over the course of the next few months, games against the likes of Burnley are ones they have to win, especially at the Emirates Stadium. The name on the lips of every Arsenal fan at the moment is Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean has been electric since arriving at the Emirates, carrying the team at times. The former Barcelona man has eight goals and three assists in his first 13 games for the North London club. Arsenal’s number 17 has dragged the under performing gunners kicking and screaming to some important results recently, including their 2-0 win over Sunderland at the weekend where Sanchez bagged himself a brace. The skill, technique, work rate, and pure desire of the Chilean has been vital for the squad. The Sunderland game at the weekend epitomized the work rate that the former Udinese man possess with both of his goals coming from his constant pressing. Alexis Sanchez is quite simply world class and, if he shows his class against Burnley, Arsenal should have enough to get the three points.

Last away matches - D-L-D-L-W-L

Burnley have failed to win any of 11 games in all competitions going back to the end of April and have lost back to back League games coming into this weekend, including a 1-3 home loss to Everton last Sunday. That game came just a couple of days after Everton played in the Europa League and highlights the difference in quality between Burnley and many in this Division. Burnley drew 2-2 at Leicester City in their last away game in the Premier League. Burnley have lacked goals all season, so their key man is there best goalscorer, Danny Ings. The 22 year old was Burnley’s top scorer in the Championship last season. The English striker finally opened his Premier League account over the weekend with the Bees only goal in a 3-1 loss to Everton. Through nine games, Burnley have only scored five goals, only Villa have scored fewer goals this season. The lack of goals has had an effect on the entire team and seems to have dragged down the team’s moral. The former Bourmouth striker is the team’s best striker and is the player with the class to put the ball in the back of the net consistently. Ings has to be the catalyst up front for Burnley to get anything from this match.

Chelsea come into the match having conceded a single goal in each of their previous matches against Manchester United last weekend in a 1-1 draw and in midweek in a 2-1 victory against Shrewsbury in the League Cup. I expect Mourinhio will call on his team to show a bit more defensive stability and keep the clean sheet here in a comfortable win over QPR. Jose Mourinho was incredibly disappointed with a number of his second string players that had come in for the League Cup Fourth Round win at Shrewsbury and not many of them will have earned a place in his team for this West London derby. Chelsea have a Champions League game during the week, but that comes on Wednesday which means the big names should be restored to the starting eleven. A 1-1 draw at Manchester United was so close to being a win for Chelsea who led until the final minute of that game, but that leaves the Blues top of the Premier League table and with a 4 point gap over Southampton. They have been very successful at Stamford Bridge to open the season as they have won all 4 League games played here while scoring 11 goals and conceding 2.

Away - Queens Park Rangers

QPR got an elusive win last week on monday night at home when they hosted Aston Villa. In truth however, the 2 goals were both against the run of play and QPR did very little in the match apart from these two finishes to convince me of their ability to get the ball in the net on a regular basis. This weekend they will face an almost infinitely more difficult challenge when they make the short trip over the Stamford Bridge to meet their local rivals Chelsea. It had been considered that Harry Redknapp was leading the 'sack race' in the Premier League as his Queens Park Rangers team made a poor start to life back in the top flight. However, performances have certainly begun to pick up of late and winning their second League game of the season on Monday night will have given the team a real boost in confidence. Queens Park Rangers ended a run of 5 games without a win with their victory over Aston Villa, but importantly that result also ended a run of 3 straight League defeats they had suffered. They have lost all 5 away games played in all competitions this season and Queens Park Rangers have conceded at least 2 goals in their 4 Premier League games on their travels.

The attacking midfielder on loan from Newcastle has started the last two games for the Tigers, and will be hoping to carry his impressive form from the Liverpool game into this crucial match. His link up play with Abel Hernandez could be crucial to Steve Bruce’s side if they hope to create chances against a robust Southampton midfield containing an explosive Steven Davis; his movement and technique to exploit the space between the midfield and defensive lines, as well as his central battle with Morgan Schneiderlin will largely dictate how this game will play out against a Southampton side that have only conceded 5 goals in their opening 9 games (the lowest of the league). His partnership with Abel Hernandez is showing signs of promise, and it’ll be interesting to see how he attempts to break down Southampton’s resolute centre back pairing of Jose Fonte and Toby Alderweireld.

Dusan Tadic’s imperious performances have not gone unnoticed recently, but it’s fair to say his partner up front Graziano Pelle is stealing all the headlines at the moment with his fantastic goalscoring record. However, Tadic’s presence in Ronald Koeman’s fluid front three is a big part of Southampton’s attacking intensity, and the 25-year old Serbian from FC Twente has settled in extremely well to the rigors of the Premier League. He notched up four assists in the Saints 8-0 hammering of a hapless Sunderland, only the 6th player to do so in a single game ( Bergkamp, Reyes, Fabregas, Adebayor, & Cazorla were the other 5 – and no, Adebayor’s haul came in a Tottenham shirt). The Saints boss will be hoping Tadic’s link-up play with Long and fellow Eridivisie import Pelle will be enough to see them through against a resolute Hull side.

Everton have won back to back Premier League games since their 2-1 loss at Manchester United and they are unbeaten in 3 games in all competitions going into this weekend. They have won 2 of their last 3 games at Goodison Park in all competitions, but those have sandwiched a 2-3 loss to Crystal Palace, the type of results Everton are looking to take out of their season. The side have moved up to 9th in the Premier League table and fans will point to the fact that Everton are only 2 points behind rivals Liverpool and 1 point behind Manchester United despite their poor start. Roberto Martinez will be keen to see an improvement at Goodison Park where Everton are 1-1-2 this season, scoring 10 goals and conceding 11. Kevin Mirallas is still unfit and will not play in this match along with John Stones who has suffered an injury. Bryan Oviedo has made a comeback in training but it is unlikely he will feature just yet. Arouna Kone has resumed training but he will be given time to prove his full fitness. Romelu Lukaku picked up a knock but it shouldn’t stop him from starting the match this weekend.

Swansea have won just 1 of their last 5 games in all competitions, but they did end a run of 5 games without a win in the Premier League by beating Leicester City 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium last weekend. Playing away from home has been something of a problem for Swansea as they have failed to win any of their last 4 in all competitions, losing 3 of those, since beating Manchester United at Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the season. The Swans have made a decent start to the Premier League season after some thought they could potentially struggle and they are 6th in the table with 14 points earned so far. Swansea have a 1-1-2 away record where they have scored 5 goals and conceded 7. Swansea are without Spanish center back Jordi Amat who joins English midfielder Leon Britton in the injury front. Dwight TIendalli and Ashley Richards have both recovered from respective injuries but they are still not match fit. The host from London are currently a run of two defeats and a draw, but the draw was taken in the last league round of the relatively strong WBA. Away with this success they are now more confident and full of confidence coming into this game that they get another much-needed victory. Their coach Warnock knows that the opponents of Sunderland is also in a crisis and will try to exploit this weakness of the opponent. With three other points, his charges would move towards mid-table. Despite the weak opponent they will not rush headlong forward, but rather try to usurp the dominance in midfield in. In this section we await the return of the major central defender Delaney, but also the return of midfielder McArthur. We should mention that goalkeeper Speroni and defender fails then injured.

When talking about the guests from Sunderland, then you should mention that they have no good playing shape first. Currently they have a run of two defeats in a row and just this black series brought them into the relegation zone. The first defeat of this series, they have certainly not forgotten, because they were thrashed 0:8 by Southampton. Then they have failed to score when hosting Arsenal, who beat them 2:0. Their trainer Poyet should quickly try to change what otherwise threatens his protégés an even bigger event down, because they have a heavy residual program. Now it is most important to end the losing streak, so a draw in London would also be a success. We should mention as the last thing that central defender Coates and midfielders Giaccherini and Alvarez fail injured.

Before the season it was clear that they have enough quality to go the relegation battle out of the way, but the expectations were much too high borrows. The defense is in fact very weak and is one of the worst defenses in the Primera. Home, they have won only one game, but their schedules are was not easy. Finally they got it in their stadium to do with Barsa, and lost the match. Then they had to complete two guest appearances. First, they won at Granada and then they experienced a real disgrace in Malaga. This game was the worst performance of the season the people of Madrid and they felt really, that they play a lot weaker without injured midfielder Bueno. Its use is now also questionable and indeed as is the use of the second key player from the midfield Raul Baena.

Although in a result crisis, but overall they can be satisfied with what has been achieved. Although you have some financial problems, but they are closer to mid-table as the relegation zone. So far, they have won two league games and drew four games. They recently had a series of three draws in a row, but then came the cameo at the overpowering Barsa and the series came to an end. After Barsa bankruptcy they played on the final day yet again in a draw. All in all, we wanted to mention that they have been waiting since mid-September for a victory. The last victory they achieved in Elche. The last league draw against Granada can not be regarded as a success actually, because they have played at home. They were even long time back, so they should not complain about the result. A similar gameplay we saw three games, as they have played against Levante. The final 3:3 home draw was taken at the end with good luck. Their trainer Garitano constantly changes the starting lineup, but it looks like at least attacker Piovaccari is set.

Zenit St. Petersburg will host Leverkusen for the next match day at the UEFA Champions League. Last time these teams met was on match day 3 and Bayer took all three points with a 2:0 home win. This was the first CL defeat in this season for the Russians. Until then, they beat Benfica 2:0 and drew Monaco 0:0. This means position 3 in group C. In total, Zenit are playing a nice season, because besides the last CL defeat, they only lost another two times. Last time at the Russian Kubok (Cup) game and second against Limassol in the CL-qualifiers. In the Russian league, they are still unbeaten after 12 match days. They also won their CL-test on the last weekend in the top-match against CSKA Moscow with 1:0. In addition, they are pretty strong when playing at home, in the league, they won six out of their last seven games. Also at the CL, they performed nice at the Petrovskiy stadium with losing only one of the last five games.

In the current CL season Bayer Leverkusen were able to win their last 2 games after a total of 3 matches. Despite the unlucky defeat against the AS Monaco on match day one, they have beaten Benfica with 3:1 and Zenit with 2:0. If they can beat the Russians again in St. Petersburg they can already start thinking about the round of 16. In contradiction to their performances at home, they are not performing that strong on the road. They have just won one of their last 5 games on the road, but lost three times and drew another game. But with a 2:0 win in the last meeting against Zenit they should actually be pretty confident when heading to Russia. Reinartz, Wendell, Rolfes and Castro will not join the team in the CL because they are injured, except Wendell who is suspended. Despite a good season, Bayer will travel to Russia with a defeat against the HSV in the Bundesliga on Saturday where they have lost with 0:1.

At the moment, the key man for Arsenal is not a debate. Their key man is Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez has carried the Gunners for their last few matches. The number 17 has four goals in his last two Premier League games, and he has 10 goals in his first 16 games for Arsenal. Only Ian Wright scored 10 Arsenal goals in fewer games than Sanchez. The former Barcelona man has by far been Arsenal’s best player this season, and the Chilean shows no signs of slowing down. Despite being only 5’7, he scored a header for Arsenal’s opening goal in their last match against Burnley. He has scored the opening goal in three of the Gunners’ last four matches. The injury woes continue to grow for Arsene Wenger with eight players currently missing from selection. What makes it worse for the Frenchman is that all eight are important first team players and makes Arsenals job of keeping up with the top teams even harder. Wilshere (knee), Gibbs (hip), Koscielny (Achilles tendonitis), Ospina (hip), Gnabry (knee), Debuchy (ankle ligaments), Giroud (broken shinbone) and Ozil (crucial knee ligaments) are all missing from action.

Najar has completed a take on every 19 minutes in the Champions League and has created a chance every 90 minutes, despite his team usually being on the back foot. Silvio Proto will be Anderlecht’s first team selection to play in goal on Tuesday with the Belgian having played in most of his sides games so far this season. Arsenal are aware of in form striker Aleksandar Mitrovi who has so far scored nine goals in all competitions.

Juventus are in trouble after already suffering from 2 defeats in group A. Those were painful, away defeats. Firstly, Allegri’s men lost at Vicente Calderon against Atletico Madrid (0:1), despite the fact that they controlled this match and were a better side. Two weeks ago Juventus lost very important game against Olympiakos (0:1 again). Italian champions played poorly in the first half, but they greatly improved after the break. However, goalkeeper Roberto did wonders between the posts and saved his team many times. Now, hosts realize how important Tuesday’s match is. “We've got to remain calm. We have to concentrate and play well, with high intensity. Those will be 95 minutes in which we are practically playing for our future in the Champions League. Winning is obligatory,” said coach Massimiliano Allegri. He also appears to know what his side need do better than they did 2 weeks ago: “We need to be technically stronger than we were in Greece because we got a lot of passes wrong, especially in the first half. We've got to make the most of the time in order to get the result that we want.” Allegri also realizes that his side should win by at least 2 goals, in order to have better head-to-head statistics against Olympiakos.

This game will be do or die for Juventus, a loss to Olympiakos will more or less end Juventus participation in the Champions League this year and that will not be viewed well in Italy. The Italian Champions have really struggled in Europe's elite competition the last couple of years although it is not really apparent why. With a star studded team including tevez, pirlo, morata, vidal and pogba there is no reason that Juve should be struggling to beat the likes of Malmo and Olympiakos, with no disrespect meant to the aforementioned. The team budgets are astronomically different with Juventus' wage bill probably 100 times larger. Yet when it comes to the Champions League Juventus seem unable to raise their game on the big occasion.Olympiakos it could be argues have over achieved thus far with two wins from three and both of them against the "better" sides in the group Athletico Madrid and Juventus. Kasami and Mitroglu will give Olympiakos a chance on the counter attack, both players have decent pace and know where the goals are. It could be a long evening up front though as Juventus will surely dominate possession again after holding 60% of the ball in the return fixture in Greece.

However, they have excellent results in the Champions League. Otherwise, they have an important match in the Bundesliga for three days against Hannover at home. Anyway, Borussia Dortmund continued their poor run of domestic form in the Bundesliga with a truly narrow 2-1 defeat to the hosts Bayern Munich. Jürgen Klopp's men created numerous chances and had sixteen shots against Cologne's five. Ilkay Gundogan returned to action for Borussia Dortmund's, but could not prevent his side from conceding two goals. BVB dropped to 14th on seven points after their third consecutive defeat. They are just three points above bottom club Werder Bremen. In contrast to their recent performances Bundesliga, Dortmund have six points from possible six in the UEFA Champions League. Erik Durm could switch to left-back, meaning Kevin Grosskreutz could start on the bench alongside Jakub Blaszczykowski, who is back from injury. Erik durm is likely to miss out for the visitors after suffering an injury during the warm-up before Saturday's defeat to FC Koln. Ilkay Gundogan, Marco Reus and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are all expected to feature after their recent returns from injury.

Away - Galatasaray

They have one draw and two defeats after three rounds. Only a win in this game would get the Turks back in the competition for the knockout phase. They know that, which is why we'll see them attacking the goal of BVB from the very start. The hosts have every right to be optimistic. After the 2:1 win over Kasimpasa at home, Galatasaray climbed onto the top of two Turkish Super League but was overtaken by Besiktas on Sunday evening. However, Cesare Prandelli's side have picked up just one point from their two Champions League fixtures this season. So the Turks are in danger of falling short to Galatasaray's target of reaching the Champions League round of last sixteen after the 4-1 away defeat against Arsenal. Before that, Galatasaray were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Belgian club Anderlecht in the opening group game. The Italian coach Prandelli has declared that he will select a full strength side because he has no injury worries ahead of the game. Meanwhile, Galatasaray hosts head into the match at the bottom of the group after taking just one point from a possible six. Despite their disappointing start in Europe, Cesare Prandelli's side have won three of their last four games in all competitions and will be eager to improve on that record in midweek. Gala have no fresh injury concerns, though Blerim Dzemaili and Felipe Melo are both one booking away from being handed a suspension. Otherwise, defender Semih Kaya (ankle injury) is doubtful.

Malmo vs Atletico Madrid

Home - Malmo
Last away matches - L-L-W-W-L-D

Malmo sit on the bottom of group A. Age Hareide’s men lost both away games in Champions League so far (0:2 Juventus, 0:5 Atletico Madrid), but they rather unexpectedly managed to beat at home Olympiakos (2:0). However, it should be noted that referees’ made mistakes in their favour in this game. Before this season, both clubs have met just once in history, long time ago. During 1966/67 campaign Atletico Madrid defeated Malmo 5:1 on aggregate (2:0 away, 3:1 home), in European Champions’ Club Cup. Generally, Malmo are doing well at home. In the league, Swedish side managed to score at least one goal in all of their 15 games played so far this year. In European cups Malmo performs well at their ground as well. It’s worth to know that Swedish champions didn’t lose any of their last 8 games in Europe. Moreover, they kept a clean sheet in all those matches. During this campaign Malmo managed to make a few surprises in the qualifiers as they progressed to the next rounds at the expense of Sparta Prague (2:0 home win) and FC Salzburg (3:0 home win). However, coach Hareide have bad experience with Spanish clubs, as he lost twice to Levante in the 2012/13 Europa League group stage when he was in charge of Helsingborg. During 2003/04 campaign, as Rosenborg’s coach, he was eliminated in the third qualifying round of Champions League by Deportivo La Coruna. Hareide remains optimistic despite heavy loss two weeks ago: “In Madrid we left their players too much space. Now we need to be closer and more aggressive. We’re much better prepared now,” he said. Good news is that goalkeeper Robin Olsen should be available. It’s not know whether Malmo will use their nominal 4-4-2 formation, because in the past they played with 3-5-2 when they were facing difficult opponents.

Away - Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid defeated on Saturday Cordoba (4:2) at home. Despite conceding two goals, coach Diego Simeone was happy with his team’s performance and he claims that they are getting better. Most important thing was that Antoine Griezmann scored a double, those were his first league goals in Atletico’s jersey. “He was brilliant. He played on a level we expect him to,” said Simeone about his French star. Game against Malmo is important for Atletico, as the situation in group A is not clear. Although Spanish champions lost on matchday 1 to Olympiakos in Greece, it’s worth to remember that they didn’t lose a single match on the road during last season in the Champions League.

Bayern Munchen vs AS Roma

Last away matches - W-D-W-W-W-D

Bayern Munich take on AS Roma at Allianz-Arena and Champions League - Group Stage. This is the 4th round in Group E. The hosts are at the top with three wins and with a goal difference of 9:1 after three rounds. Otherwise, this is a very strange group with Manchester City and CSKA Moscow. Nevertheless, these hosts are massive and they are simply unbeatable. Having said that they are unbeaten in all competitions and are looking good for qualification from Group E, sitting top with 9 points after the third match day. With Pep Guardiola tweaking his system, key players struggling for match fitness and a questionable defense, Bayern have their problems. If you look at the table though, those problems disappear; they are already four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga and five points clear the top of their Champions League. In the last game, they picked up a win against Borussia Dortmund 2-1 at home. Anyway, for this match Bayern are almost back to full strength, the returns of Franck Ribery and Mario Gotze will be most pleasing for Guardiola, and with Arjen Robben showing no signs of losing his attacking spark on the right wing the Spanish boss is almost spoiled for choice.

Away - AS Roma
Last away matches - L-D-L-D-W-W

On the other hand, guests are currently on 2nd place in Serie A with a total goal difference of 16: 6 and 3 points less than Juventus. In the last game, they were defeated 2-0 against Napoli. Anyway, after the terrible defeat against Bayern in those last three games they've picked up a 2-0 win against Cesena, 1 draw against Sampdoria 0-0 and 1 defeat against Napoli. Otherwise, Roma have impressed on their return to Europe's elite club competition, dismissing Group E whipping boys CSKA Moscow 5-1 in the first match day before leaving the Etihad with a very impressive point against AngleÅ¡čina champions Manchester City. However, after the unrealistic results against Bayern they started to fall into shape. Of course, no one else can expect a similar result, and this will be a match with a lot more optimism for guests. Otherwise, a lot of pressure will fall on Totti to lead the line and provide the goal threat. Destro and Totti have a good understanding and the midfield combination play of Pjanic will provide them with the ball; expect them to test the Bayern backline more effectively than either City or CSKA in previous games. In any case, they will not be able to count on Maicon (Knee injury), Gianluca Curci (Elbow injury), and Davide Astori (Thigh injury).

Manchester City are doing fine in English Premier League, recent derby win over their biggest rivals, Manchester United, should give them additional boost. However, in the Champions League, Manuel Pellegrini’s men are struggling, they are still without a win after 3 rounds. They really disappointed two weeks ago in Moscow and only got a 2:2 draw against CSKA, despite being 2:0 up at half-time. Now, here comes a very important match for the English champions. “I don’t think it’s sudden death – you can continue mathematically but it’s an important game. We have just two more games to play and we need more points. Our team don’t consider it a final game but it’s a very important game. It’s impossible to be sure but I think this group will be decided in the last game against Rome in Italy.

CSKA Moscow aren’t doing well in the Champions League as they only got 1 point so far. Last away matches - W-L-D-D-W-W

Ajax fans are now against the favored Catalans a little optimistic, especially since the defeat at the Nou Camp Stadium was the only mistake in the last 12 games just before this very important duel. Players from Amsterdam have brought before namely two CL-draw and although once home to PSG as well as abroad at APOEL, while they have two Cup wins and a series of five wins and two draws in their own country. Last weekend the Dutch have won 4:0 against Dordrecht at home, which means that they still have four points behind the leaders PSV. But they certainly is much more important to have a positive atmosphere in the team. The goal tally is at an enviable level and coach de Boer has therefore no reason to change the starting lineup.

Away - Barcelona
Last away matches - L-W-L-D-W-W

In contrast to Ajax the Catalans can take this fight a little more relaxed. It is for them 15 days ago at home where they won 3:1 over Ajax and now have all four points more than the Dutch side. But their current game shape during the Primera is worrying, while certainly still remembers both of last year's defeat in Amsterdam and this year's defeat in the second CL-round in Paris against PSG. The most important thing is that the charges of coach Enrique conceded defeat in the last two rounds of Primera and first away at the biggest rivals Real Madrid. In this game, they also have the first goals conceded during the championship. Then last weekend Celta won 1:0 at the Nou Camp. The fans are naturally concerned and it is now expected that the Catalans will try to compensate for this error, at least with a CL victory.

Maribor vs Chelsea

Last away matches - W-L-W-D-D-W

Maribor had to wait 15 years in order to qualify to the group phase of UEFA Champions League again. 15 years ago Maribor finished their group on fourth place, with four points collected (1:0 Dynamo Kyiv, 0:0 Bayer Leverkusen). Last season Slovenian champions played in the Europa League when they faced other English club in group stage, Wigan Athletic. Maribor managed to get a home win (2:1) and it was their only victory against English clubs in history of seven games (overall record is W1, D1, L5). It’s worth to notice that during this season Maribor already made two surprised as they managed to get 1:1 draws against higher-rated opponents: Sporting Lisbon and Schalke 04. However, two weeks ago, they suffered from heavy 0:6 defeat at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. It was a one-way traffic, but now it’s time for a revenge. “Chelsea are a big club, probably the biggest to ever come to our stadium. But I trust my colleagues, we believe in ourselves and we know that we can play against any team in the world. Of course Chelsea are big favourites, but they will have to beat our defence firs. Yes, they are quick with a lot of creativity in attack. Everybody knows Chelsea, we watch them every week, so we know that they don’t have any weaknesses. But at the same time we are not afraid of anyone,” said defender Arghus.

Away - Chelsea

Chelsea are doing very well, both in English Premier League and UEFA Champions League. However, their recent league match (narrow 2:1 home win over Queens Park Rangers) wasn’t great and coach Jose Mourinho wasn’t happy with his team’s performance. “It’s important to win when you don’t play so well as normal. In the end we deserved to win but the result could’ve been more than such a narrow result. We have to be more consistent and play better,” said Portuguese manager. Generally, those are busy days for Chelsea. Around 10 days ago they played against Manchester United at Old Trafford, then in mid week they had to feature against Shrewsbury in Capital One Cup. Last Saturday there was a mentioned game against QPR, now Champions League match against Maribor, and finally Liverpool at the weekend just before the international break. “It was a very strange week to work and to be focused. We tried, but the individual performances weren't there (against QPR) and the collective performance was not there too,” Mourinho explained.

Paris Saint Germain vs APOEL Nicosia

Last away matches - W-W-W-D-W-D

PSG are often criticised this season for not playing well enough. In fact, Laurent Blanc's men did really well in just one game, and that is home win over Barcelona (3:2) on matchday 2 in UEFA Champions League. Two weeks ago, in first match against APOEL in Cyprus, French champions didn’t impress either but again good fortune didn’t leave them and in the end they got much needed 3 points. Last weekend PSG put up another mediocre performance. Lorient were leading 1:0 at half time and were a clearly better side, however after the break PSG improved their level of play and won that match. Although PSG most often don’t impress, it should be said that they didn’t lose a single game this season. Now, in case of victory, they’ll secure their place in the play-offs (provided Ajax won’t beat Barcelona). Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still sidelined with injury. Players realize it’s an important game and they must play at high level. “In the league and in UEFA Champions League, you need to play with high intensity otherwise you are struggling.

APOEL, after getting just 1 point from first 3 games, have now very little chances of progressing to the next round. The Cypriot club would need a victory from this match in order to retain realistic chances, but it’s unlikely to happen. In the past APOEL have never won any away game in the Champions League (overall record is W0, D5, L4). They also don’t have good memories from matches against French clubs on their ground in the recent years as APOEL have lost to Lyon (0:1) and Bordeaux (1:2) in the last few years.

The other match was a draw and that came against United States. They are coming to this match after defeating Denmark in their last match. In these 5 matches they put up a good fight against every opponent. Ronaldo seems to be in form and that might be the key point in this match. In theses 5 matches Portugal scored 6 goals while they conceded 6 goals as well. They looked mediocre in the field but still they will be playing this match as the favorites.

Armenia’s recent matches have been devastating for them. They barely managed to avoid loss in one occasion and that ended in draw too. Their performance have been so lacking that other teams are hammering them. Their only draw came against Serbia when the scorecard was 1-1. In these 5 matches they conceded a total of 14 goals while only scoring 3 goals. It says that neither their defense nor their offense is strong enough to pose any big threats against a team like Portugal. Netherlands is that this game is must win. Having lost two of their first three in this group the Dutch must get a win here to get themselves back in contention in the group, with the Czech Republic taking on Iceland it is also an opportunity to make up ground on the front runners. Gus hiddink the new Netherlands manager who took over after the World Cup rested star striker Robin Van Persie in the friendly loss to Mexico on Wednesday. Schalke star Klass Jan Huntelaar started trhough the center and had an up and down night playing the position well but missing a couple of guilt edged chances. Van Persie will come back in on Sunday and the Manchester United striker will be looking to get on the end of Arjen Robbens creativity.. The Bayern Munich midfielder was the best player at the World Cup in the summer and has only recently returned to full fitness.

Expect the dutch to be ruthless here against a Latvia side that have struggled in the qualifying phase of tournaments and could continue that struggle as this is a really tough group. Latvia though have two poins from three games and they will take a solid defence to the Amsterdam Arena on Sunday evening. Latvia are one of the many improving minnows across Europe and as their players start branching out into the bigger European leagues we will see marked improvement across the board. The hosts are currently on 3rd place with 1 win and 1 draw with a goal difference of 7:1 after two games in Group B. Otherwise, Group B is not too difficult group. In addition to these two teams there are still Israel, Cyprus, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Andorra. In any case, Belgium went to the last World Cup in Brazil as a dark horse due to their strong qualification campaign and impressive performance. Belgium won their group with three wins, and then beat the United States in the round of 16 before losing to Argentina in the Quarter-finals. For the record, Belgium have only lost one of their last twelve matches played, that was against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup. To date Belgium have played two Euro 2016 qualifiers so far - drawing against Bosnia and beating Andorra. A win here would put them level on points with Wales with a game in hand over Wales after that. Nevertheless, it will be a big test for Wales as they travel to Belgium for this clash and they will start as the underdogs here. Also, it will be interesting to see if Wales under Chris Coleman can avoid defeat and continue their push for Euro 2016, Wales has a good start after three games while managing W2 D1 record and they are doing surprisingly well. Wales had to thank Gareth Bale against Andorra as he scored both goals, including a late, late winner as Wales squeezed past Andorrsa with a 2-1 victory. Norway have won two from three in qualifying their only loss coming against Italy which to be fair is to be expected. While Norway may be more famous for skiing and ice skating there are some great young players playing with Norway and moving to the best leagues in the world with Daeli plying his trade at Cardiff one of the new generation of Norway starlets. Last match was a defeat to Estonia 4 days ago but it was only a preparation friendly. Italy take on Croatia at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Euro - Qualification. This is the 4th round. The hosts are currently on 2nd place with 3 wins and with total goal difference of 5: 1 after three rounds in Group H. So, Italy have won all of their three matches in the group H - against Norway, Azerbaijan and Malta, and this match will be their first serious test against their main rivals for the first place on the table. Otherwise, Italian coach Antonio Conte uses the same formation that he used while he coached Juventus, with two strikers up front and a midfield tightened. However, he faces some problems before this match as he can not count on several key players. Andrea Pirlo and Riccardo Montollivo are out injured, while PSG midfielder Marco Verratti suffered a thigh injury at a training session and withdrew from the squad. The defender Angelo Ogbonna is also questionable, after complaining to a muscle strain injury. Leonardo Bonucci is suspended for this match. Italy have a fantastic home record in the qualifying campaigns over the past few years, winning each of their last six home matches since 2010. Their goal difference in the last six home games is 17:1, but those victories were achieved against European minnow sides. Interesting fact is that Italy have never beaten United in a competitive match. They have played six matches total, and United have won three times while three matches have ended in draws. Last time Italy faced Croatia was at Euro 2012 when Poland and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. In this game, the hosts have quite a difficult task. In any case, the Croatia also have a perfect record from their qualifying campaign so far, winning all three of their matches so far. Only the goal difference separates them with Italy at the top. Croatia`s defense has been great in their three matches so far, and they are yet to concede a goal in their qualifying matches. They managed a 2-0 victory over Malta, 0-1 victory over Bulgaria and a 6-0 victory over Azerbaijan. During midweek, Croatia played a test match against Argentina at Upton Park in London, which ended in a 2-1 victory for Argentina. The loss was not that bad, as United were the better opponents for the bigger part of the match and they had a goal lead at half-time. Croatia played with their second squad, as several first team players were rested for this match against Italy. Positive team news for United is that they have no significant absentees for this match, and most of their players are in a very good form. Mario Mandzukic, Ivan Perisic, Ivica Olic, Mateo Kovacic, Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic have all been superb recently.

Turkey vs Kazakhstan

Home - Turkey
Last away matches - D-L-W-L-W-W

Turkey have had an awful start to their qualification campaign with 2 defeats in their opening 3 matches, losing their opening game 3-0 away to Iceland and following that up with a 2-1 home defeat against Czech Republic. They currently occupy bottom position in Group A, already 8 points behind the two leaders and the automatic qualification places. It was a point last time out for Turkey as they took the lead but were unable to hold out for the victory when drawing 1-1 away to Latvia.

Away - Kazakhstan
Last away matches - L-L-D-L-D-L

Kazakhstan are the opponents for Turkey tonight and they have had an equally poor start to qualification with just 1 point from their 3 matches, drawing their opening game 0-0 at home to Latvia before suffering back-to-back defeats against the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. Kazakhstan currently occupy joint bottom position in Group A, level on points with tonights opponents.

Wycombe Wanderers vs Burton Albion

Home - Wycombe Wanderers
Last away matches - W-W-L-W-D-W

Wycombe take on Burton at Adams Park in England League Two. The hosts were very solid team in this season. Otherwise, they are barely survived last season in League Two. They are finished on 22nd place with the same number of points as Bristol Rovers who were relegated from the league. In the new season, they are currently on 3rd place with 9 wins, 5 draws and 2 losses with a total goal difference of 23:12 with 32 points so far. They have two points less than Luton who picked up a win against Tranmere. Also, the hosts have 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat in the last five games. In any event, as noted, Wycombe currently sit in third place just two points behind new league leaders Luton Town, and they've been in pretty good form themselves in recent weeks as they've lost just once in their last thirteen league matches despite losing top place. That loss was a 1-2 defeat away at Exeter City who are sitting mid-table but have lost just twice at home this season. Aside form that though, Wycombe have maintained their push for an automatic promotion spot with wins over Morecambe AFC Wimbledon and Oxford United lately with a point at home against Dagenham & Redbridge, while their overall home form reads 4 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat with a goal difference of 10: 6th Incidentally, The Chairboys have only played one match at home against top half opposition so far this season and that ended in a 0-0 draw with Bury. Nevertheless, they will seek a win this match at any cost. However, this will not be an easy job. Their opponent is also very solid team.

Away - Burton Albion
Last away matches - L-L-W-W-L-L

On the other hand, visitors are currently on 6th place with 9 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats with a total goal difference of 21:20 after 16 rounds of the new season. In any case, Burton Albion visitors recently appointed former Leeds United and Holland striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink-as manager to replace Gary Rowett who took over at Birmingham City, and this will be his first game in charge of the Brewers who are just three league places and three points behind their hosts so far. Burton's fortunes have been mixed in recent weeks as they've registered away wins at Northampton Town and Carlisle United, and draw with Plymouth Argyle at the Pirelli Stadium, but also defeats to Morecambe and Stevenage. Their away record stands at 4 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats with goal difference of 11:13 but this has taken a bit of a dent as they've lost three of their last five on the road with defeats at AFC Wimbledon, Bury and Stevenage. Hasselbaink will therefore be keen to avoid another defeat here this afternoon against one of Burton's main rivals for at least a play-off place.

Atletico Goianiense vs Bragantino

Home - Atletico Goianiense
Last away matches - L-D-W-W-D-L

Atletico GO finally lose a match after the amazing form they had shown in the last two and a half months. The team was on the amazing run of nine consecutive matches without a single defeat in the league, having been able to win a whole six of those matches (6-3-0), as this run allowed them to move to the top four and to be among the promotion candidates, but in the weekend this great run had finally came to an end, as the club lost against Parana with 0:2 on the road. However, still, with fifteen victories in the thirty five matches played until now and with fifty three points collected in those games (15-8-12), the team is currently on fifth place, but just one single point behind the fourth position, so in the last three rounds of the season they will try and get the maximum amount of points, especially in their two home matches, to be able to get in the top four in the very last moment. And having in mind their great performance at home during the whole season and the ten victories so far in the seventeen matches played (10-4-3), as well as their great form recently at their arena, having collected sixteen points from their last six games (5-1-0), I doubt that they will do a mistake exactly here.

Away - Bragantino
Last away matches - L-L-L-L-D-L

Bragantino continues to collect a lot of points at home recently and in the same time to lose match after match on the road, but so far this pays off, as the club is currently three points ahead of the relegation zone, with just three rounds remaining, so maybe one more victory in their last home match can be enough for their survival. The team had won a whole three times in their last four matches in front of their fans in the league (3-0-1).

Avai SC vs Portuguesa Desportos

Home - Avai SC
Last away matches - L-L-L-L-L-D

Avai is on the verge of losing their ticket to Serie A in the fashion they did it last season as well and this will be another huge blow for the club, as they are coming really close every single time to the promotion and at the end are left with just nothing, which is really terrible, but still in this midweek round they have one final chance to get back in the fight for the top four, playing at home against the already relegated Portuguesa side and everything else but the three points for the would mean end of their ambitions. Last season Avai had a terrible end of the campaign, as they had lost four times in the last five rounds in Serie B and that cost them the place in the top four and the promotion to the best in the country and right now we are looking at the same disaster from the club, as they are on a really terrible shape in the last months and slipped out of the top four, despite being there for almost the whole season so far. The team had won just one single point in their last six league matches (0-1-5) and because of that horrible run, from being in the top three and having really nice advantage over the fifth and behind in the table, they had now dropped down to the eight place in the ranks, with just three rounds left to be played, but still they are just one single point behind the fourth Ceara, who has a tough away game this round and three points against Portuguesa will surely bring them back in the fight for the top four.

Away - Portuguesa Desportos
Last away matches - L-L-L-D-L-D

Portuguesa in the same time is already relegated and despite that they had collected a whole four points in their last two league matches (1-1-0), still I just can't see how they will get something against Avai, who are really struggling and need all the points in this fixture. Overall the team had managed to win the embarrassing four times so far in the thirty five games played in Serie B (4-13-18), which just proves how terrible season they had got and really how much behind the rest of the field in the league they were in this campaign. Also on the road Portuguesa had collected just one single point in their last five league matches (0-1-4)

Icasa vs Parana

Home - Icasa
Last away matches - L-D-W-L-D-L

Icasa is on a great run in this final part of the campaign and despite that they had lost in the last round against America RN as visitors with 0:2, which was a really important game, still they are looking for three points in that match, as another mistake against direct opponent against relegation will be just too much at this stage of the season. Before that defeat the team was on a great run of five consecutive games without a defeat, having been able to collect a whole eleven points in those matches (3-2-0), which allowed them to have the chance to fight against relegation. Currently Icasa is with thirty nine points in the ranks, just three behind the safety zone and having in mind their amazing performance at home recently, having managed to collect thirteen from the possible maximum fifteen points at their arena in the last five matches played in Serie B (4-1-0) and with the fact that two of their last three games of the season will be at home, with three points here they will surely get back in the fight against the bottom four.

Away - Parana
Last away matches - L-L-W-D-L-L

Parana is also still not safe, but the situation for them looks pretty good right now, as after the victory against Atletico GO with 2:0 in the weekend, they now have five points advantage over the relegation zone, as well as a whole four clubs separates them from the bottom four, so they all four need to make some great runs until the end to get ahead of them. Also next weekend Parana takes at home on America RN and a win will surely guarantee their stay in the league and having in mind that they had collected most of their points exactly at home so far this season (8-7-3), as well as the whole ten defeats on the road already (3-4-10).

Oeste Itapolis vs Nautico Capibaribe

Home - Oeste Itapolis
Last away matches - W-D-L-D-D-L

Oeste continues the fight against relegation and showing a really nice run recently, which so far allows them to stay out of the danger zone and another eventual three points here will be a huge step for them towards salvation, while in the same time mistake here would really hurt their hopes of getting away from the danger this season and keeping their place in the second class division of the Brazilian football. Like I said, the team is in really good shape recently, as they had managed to collect a whole seven points in their last three league matches (2-1-0), which allowed them currently to make three points advantage over the bottom four and the relegation zone, but still Icasa and America RN are both really close, so there is no room for mistakes yet, especially at home and especially against a side, who had just secured their Serie B status for another season. Just like every other side in Serie B, Oeste is dependable mainly on their performance at home, having lost just three times in front of their fans so far in the whole season, collecting twenty eight points (7-7-3).

Away - Nautico Capibaribe
Last away matches - L-L-D-W-D-L

Nautico in the same time already have nothing to play for in the last three rounds. The team had managed to beat Luverdanse at home with 1:0 in the last round and with that are now ten points clear of the relegation zone, with just there rounds remaining, or in other words even mathematically after the victory in the weekend they are safe and can breath easily and celebrate, so I don't expect them just three days after this great news to be on their highest level against Oeste, who in the same time will be totally motivated. Also Nautico recently lost twice in a row on the road against teams that needed the points like Icasa and Boa .

Boa MG vs Joinville EC

Home - Boa MG
Last away matches - L-W-L-L-L-L

Boa suffered a really heavy defeat from Sampaio Correa with 0:3 as visitors in the weekend, as not only the result was really bad for them, but also the zero points won ensured that the club will be just outside the top four before the final three rounds and now in front of their fans there is just no room for mistake against surely the club in best shape in the recent months and maybe the whole season Joinville. The good news for Boa is that they are going to play this match at home, where they are feeling much better during the whole season so far and had managed to win a whole eleven times so far in the seventeen games played at their arena, having collected thirty five points in them (11-2-4), as well as having won the amazing nine times in just their last eleven games here (9-1-1). The recent matches of the team are really high scoring, a whole four of their last five meetings in the league had ended with over 2.5 goals in them.

Away - Joinville EC
Last away matches - W-W-W-L-L-W

Joinville continues with their really amazing form and after yet another victory and mistake from Ponte Preta in the same time, they had finally managed to step at the very top of the table, just three rounds before the end of the campaign and surely they will want to keep that place until the end of the season. The team had guaranteed their place in Serie A a long time ago, but this does not stop their ambitions to get only victories until the end of the season and the current seven wins in a row are surely more than impressive, as a whole five of those seven matches had ended with at least three goals in them.

The Goiás will also present changes after the 1-0 defeat against Internacional. Both Pedro Henrique and Jackson were suspended against Inter and should start. David and Tiago Real are both suspended.

Away - Corinthians

The Corinthians started the week in the fifth place, with the same 60 points won by Internacional and Grêmio, but they are in disadvantage to their opponents due toi the number of wins. Also behind the leader Cruzeiro (70) and the rival São Paulo (66). With 44 points and far from the relegation zone, the Goiás is just playing for fun in this final weeks of the league.Mano Menezes must do without a number of key players here. Romero and Guerrero are away with Paraguay and Peru respectively, while Petros is suspended. Defenders Fábio Santos and Anderson Martins are also likely to miss out.

Botafogo RJ vs Figueirense

Home - Botafogo RJ
Last away matches - L-L-L-L-L-D

All this tells us that Botafogo will now be highly motivated to come to another triumph over Figueirense, especially since they are playing on their field, where they this season already provided much better performances than away. However, they have not justified this epithet of the host team two rounds ago against Atletico Paranaense, when they lost with 2-0, while they before that suffered two defeats against Cruzeiro and Fluminense away, so it is no surprise that they have after a long time again fallen in the danger zone.

Away - Figueirense
Last away matches - D-L-L-L-L-L

Figueirense is much more relaxed before this duel since they won four very important points after the last two rounds, first at home against Chapecoense and then they played a draw away with Atletico Mineirao. Specifically, in this way, coach Argel’s players have again managed to flee a few points from the teams that are in the danger zone, which actually means that they in the remaining four rounds only need points from the matches with Victoria and Internacional to survive in the league.
