Pulaski kept it closer than I thought they would've. Congrats to both teams on a good season.

Considering the PC defense held BG to 3TD's but was only able to must one TD tells me they might of had a shot with Hall at QB

That's what I was thinkin

Hall's loss has stalled Pulaski's offense.

Madison Southern is gonna win the state championship!

PC's TD came on a kickoff return in the 4th Quarter.
Gregory was injured and did not play in 2nd half.

Gritty effort by the Maroons against a very good football team. PC offense really missing Hall but defense has been consistantly good all year and doesnt get enough credit. Rematch still a possibility if Hall comes back during district.

Hall might be done for the year with a broke collar bone, its hard to come back from this soon and take hits.
Im telling you guys, Harlan County may come into PC next week and sneak away with a win, especially if the weather was like it was tonight.

I would like to say your crazy, but if Harris is 100% and remains healthy they could be playing for the state championship.
I don't think they would beat bowling green though.

I would say Gregory will play next week. they probably sat him out in the 2nd half as a precaution.

I hated to see Gregory go out, but with the field conditions, I'm surprised many more were not injured. I can see why Madison Southern fans complained last year. It was a mud bowl. Pulaski County has a very good defense. They kept them in the game. Their offense was not very good, even before Gregory went out. Late in the 3rd quarter, they started lining up in the Wildcat and gave it to their big linebacker and ran it right at the Purples defense. That didnt work either. They were in disarray. This wouldn't have been close, if played on anything close to normal conditions. The Purples defense dominated the game and the offense took what they could get. I don't want to bust anyone's bubble, but Pulaski County won't make it to Bowling Green this year. I would be happy to be wrong on this one, but I just don't see it happening.

Sometimes the sprinkler system malfunctions at Pulaski county's football field and it doesn't shut off in a timely manner. There is no need to spend tax money on fixing the problem because it only happens a couple times a year. ( usually a couple days before playing a more athletic running team or great running back) Its been this way since @ 2000.

My prediction is that BG will be very happy to get their team speed back on a normal surface.

I don't care how much of an advantage it would give me at beating an opposing team, I would never destroy a field. It takes a lot of time and money to get it back into playing condition.
Not saying that's what PC did, but there are several who have

Coach Wallace said in the Bowling Green Daily News,"it was the worst field conditions I have seen in my 33 years of coaching". He went on to say that both teams had to play on the same field. Blah blah blah... If their field gets that way twice a year, then it's time to look into getting artificial turf. I like grass much better, but it's got to be taken care of and I don't mean taken care of by a plumber.

IMO, Southwestern is the type team that could knock off BG, mainly because they have a defense capable of slowing down the Purples. BG has won a lot of games because of there D this year. There offense has been hit and miss. If SW could get a big play or 2, they could pull it off. Not sure any other 5a team can play with them..
