I figured you'd include Nashville since you included all the surrounding countiesSmile

Warrior Grandpa nobody questions PC beating Harris because they have the last 3 years. I do realize injuries are a part of the game and if southwestern comes out of this to represent this district then they are deserving no matter how it happened. Those kids hard work will have paid off.I think this district is very underrated in the state of Kentucky. As a whole its one of the best. Passionate fans and plenty of rivalries and some pretty darn good football. Can't wait till playoff time!

I can't talk about 4 counties when I'm responding to a post about "east kentucky"? How many counties is that? There are more Division 1 football players in those 4 counties than all of what "I" consider eastern Kentucky.

The point was not about just Harris not playing, but the injury that kept him from playing. Did it affect the out come of our game of course it did, but did it also affect your game as well?
I watched it on espnu, and would have to say it did. Would you have still won, maybe but who knows for sure.

Our Middle school classes for the last 5 years have been amazing. The 7th and 8 th grade teams this year have made it to the semifinals. Last year Blue Tisdale led the Purples running attack. Blue graduated and his little brother Vito is in the 7th grade. This kid is unbelievable. He started on the 8th grade team this year and is still the best player on the field. Check him out on Hudl. We have several quarterbacks coming along and should not miss a beat. It's the best young talent I've seen and they just keep coming. I'm glad Highlands and Covington Catholic are moving to 5A. It will keep the Purples on their toes.

Southwestern is a good team..... They aren't what some think tho.... I'm sure they are improved...... But so is everyone else they played and lost to.

Highlands and Covington Catholic may keep the Purples on their toes but South Western will put them on their butts!!!! I can hear it now, ladies and gentlemen your 2014 class 5A state champions, the South Western Warriors.

Just want everyone to understand that SW fans aren't the ones getting on here and trying to stir things up.

Jim Rome is not a SW fan and is just trying to make SW look bad after the win last Friday night. He is trying to do anything possible to provide the other side a little edge regardless of who we are playing. Go back and read all of his posts and it will become clear.

Nothing going on here but mind games from the other side, and, unfortunately, it seems to be getting everyone's attention.

you are obviously one that I had mentioned above. ^ crow eater as well

Rick Flair always said "To be the man you have to beat the man!!" Whoooooooo!!!

SWHS is a great football team that has developed over the year from great coaching. The talent was there, just needed a coach to bring it out. Since he's done that, everyone seems to think they won by luck. This team has injuries just like others. If all our injured players were able to play, it wouldn't matter if Riley or Harris was there. This team would have beat them anyway.
#43
hate to rain on SW but SW didn't beat PC Fri night, Hines did. Everyone on the PC side knows Hines had a complete meltdown in coaching Fri. Anyone on PC's schedule could have beat PC Friday night. Everyone wants to talk but no one wants to talk about the elephant in the room
#44
Just southwestern high school, not southwestern pulaski...

You aren't raining on sw at all. The bottom line is PC lost. Johnny Hines had a meltdown, really! I agree with that, from what I hear he has meltdowns quite often. Either way, swhs completely shut them out. Their is also some injured players on the sw side. But no one wants to see that. Swhs didn't win by luck or because the QB was out, they won because they wanted it more, because they out played them. Can't wait to see how this all plays out. Swhs may or may not make it to state and if pc playes like they did Friday night, they won't either. Good luck to all the teams but my favorite is French and the under dogs!

By eastern Kentucky, I mean schools like Pulaski, JC, KC, Boyle, Lexington Catholic. Granted, LC is in central KY but they end up on the same side of the playoff bracket with JC, Highlands, Knox, Boyle, so on and so forth. I'm not saying that Bowling Green has an easy way to the championship game. Under no circumstance is it ever easy. But, I never hear about any other team out west, other than Bowling Green and Warren Central.

John Hardin is a little down this year but you can throw them in the mix. Other than that I agree with you 100 percent.

I'm sorry, I cannot continue to participate in a discussion that has placed Boyle, Lex Cath and Highlands in "East Kentucky". Enjoy the remainder of the thread.

Their dad Vito senior is a rapper. He was with Nappy Roots, a band that started in Bowling Green. Blue is following in his footsteps. Vito Jr. is going to be a special player.

Plus, those are 4A teams. I thought we were talking about 5A football. There are a lot of teams in Western Kentucky that don't ever get mentioned on this board or any other, for that matter. Graves County has a kid named Cody Crider. He could start on any team in the state' but no one knows about him. He had 424 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns against Hopkinsville last week. They all get overshadowed by the Bowling Green's and Mayfield's.
