2A District 7 and 8 who makes it out??
When you look at the way the playoff may take shape you might have
Danville/LCA
Betsy Lane

Middlesboro/Somerset
Prestonsburg/Shelby Valley maybe even Leslie Co

My prediction is
LCA vs Betsy Lane
Middlesboro vs Shelby Valley
Danville vs Leslie Co
Somerset vs Prestonsburg

when you look at the teams individual qualities you got
Prestonsburg- Has only lost 1 game this year and that was a narrow loss to undefeated Pikeville we all know about P-Burg!!
Shelby Valley- Has a good looking win over Leslie Co 38-35 and also played -a good football game against P- Burg with a 26-18 loss..
Leslie Co-Hadn't loss a game all year until the 3 point loss to SV but also hadn't played anyone..
Betsy Lane-Really no good looking wins and some ugly losses but did stay within two tds against a district contender Leslie Co..




Danville-Looking good at 7-2 with a quality 23-22 win over Garrard Co who dominated Bourbon.. Also with the two losses on the season being a 24-7 to Boyle and an 8 point loss to Corbin you got to think Danville is a contender.. Despite almost losing to Somerset last week and after jumping out to a 27-0 lead over Mboro before halftime allowing the Jackets to come back and make a ballgame I still like Danville...
LCA-after starting out undefeated in district play I think LCA gets the upset over Danville this week to win district.. Their freshmen class won state last year as 8th graders so this team is clicking at the right time... They do have a couple bad losses though and I think personally the Paintsville being one even though the 27-3 loss to CAL doesn't look as bad now that they shut out Desales...
Middlesboro-This team started off good this season with an impressive 17-14 win over Bell Co who gave Corbin all they wanted last week and the loss to Pikeville being one of Pikevilles closer games along with P-burg,Hazard,and Belfry.. But this team has dropped 4 straight now with losses to Pikeville,Union VA, LCA, and Danville, 31-20,27-21,36-18,27-14... Being the favorites with Danville to start the season in the district its safe to say Middlesboro needs to find an offense beside Pittman fast...
Somerset-Well what can you say havn't won a game, Brutal schedule, But their is one bright spot for Somerset and that is that they have improved tremendously when district play started and they got a sluggish Mboro squad next week.. With Somerset playing so well in district play with 21-19 and 22-21 losses to Danville and LCA I can't wait to see what this team might do come playoff time.. I say watch out for Somerset...


So to conclude I'm gonna go with Prestonsburg coming out of this region even though it wont be an easy task and I think their is legit 7 teams out the 8 I named that could be there...
