I didn't even realize they were making a movie about him. I met his dad Larry a few times when I was recruiting a player from Corbin. That is an amazing story. I'm glad they did that. It looks like they filmed it actually in Corbin? Is that correct?

I remember hearing about this when I was in HS and calling BS on it. I could never believe that this could be true and of course back then the net was in it's infancy so verifying something like this even as short of a distance as Corbin is from Belfry relatively speaking, was hard to do. It was tough to know what was myth and what was fact.

This is an absolutely incredible story and would love to see it emotionally lift Corbin into a state title appearance. Of course they would have to have to have it cut short (Friday Night Lights style) because I can't root for them to beat the Pirates.

It was probably 50/50. Football scenes were filmed in Corbin as well as some scenes around the high school and around town.

I was thinking that most, if not all of it was filmed in Corbin. I know that the scenes that were done in his home in the movie were filmed at a house out in Tattersal Trails.

If I'm not mistaken it is going to be pretty accurate. The only thing I noticed different was that corbin was playing a team with whitleys jerseys on which never happened but I'm sure whitley donated the jerseys to use for the movies. I wonder if that will be the big game in the movie.

Who was the Corbin Coach at the time?

Where did he end up after he left Corbin? He always seemed like a good guy in the conversations I had with him? I didn't know if he retired or what?

Whitaker is a Leslie County boy. You can count on 64 to back his hometown boys.
