So far this season... and let's be honest, the 5 teams JC has played so far have been terrible. Some teams have had some nice looking players and played hard, but JC is just a better team this season. We've been there before.

It's been like Mike Tyson from his NES video game vs. Glass Jaw Joe.

JC hasn't played nobody yet. And I'm one of the biggest JC fan's on this site.

Fairland had some nice players... but they weren't good at all.
Mastery Charter School had some nice players... but they weren't good at all.
Perry County Central would have lost to our 8th grade team.
Harlan County had some good players... but that game wasn't a test either.
Boyd County and I mean this in the nicest nice way looked like an 7th grade team. They played hard.... but that wasn't a test either.

I'd much rather get thrashed by Highlands or CovCath in the playoffs than a Raceland, Hazard or Fairview. If playing hypotheticals and game simulations helps add to your Pikeville superiority complex of all schools in EKY so be it. Games are played on the field and not by internet warriors. You guys step up to the plate with Belfry, why not venture 40 minutes down the road to come get some? Why would I want to check out a trophy case with a bunch of district titles against competition that our middle school team could’ve beat or three dusty state titles won with the finest players Texas had to offer? Have you tried to schedule a game for us, "oh wise one?" Well the list of “plenty of teams to play us” excludes: you, Bourbon, LexCath, Shelby Co, North Oldham, Prestonsburg, Mason, Campbell, etc. You are right, I never thought our program would get to the point where a once highly revered EKY Power would refuse to play. We are glad our program has got to a point over the past 10 years that no one other than Belfry in a 100 mile radius will step up to the plate. You all beat Belfry for the first time since this group of seniors was in pre-school, big deal. Helen Keller also went to take a leak and missed the seat every now and then. Pulp was right when he said you all are the Notre Dame of EKY. Nearly a quarter of a century with no Class “A” titles and you guys still think you all are relevant. Before you got spouting off about us not having any either, we never gave 2 stones about football until the last decade. In that time, any Highlands fan will tell, three or four of our meetings was considered the state title in their opinion because that was the only close game they played. Those teams we lost to have every right to claim they were either #1 or #2 team overall in the state. When Bowling Green was in 4A they got their doors beat off as well by these same Highlands teams we competed with. In the past 10 years we have been building our program, name me a team that has successfully competed against Highlands year in and year out? No one. I have no problem losing to a powerhouse team that sends kids annually to Cincinnati, Ohio U, Notre Dame, UK, etc. Had they not been there then yeah, we would’ve won at least a couple. JC doesn't want to play up or really even schools your size. Have you tried to schedule Scott County. State champs 2 classes above you is the equivalent of Pikeville playing Belfry. Every year. Tried calling 2 teams in the top 10 in the class above you? That's what Pikeville has done with Prestonsburg and Middlesboro. Tried calling a perennial power in your own class. Gobble Gobble. Our schedule is what it is. You look like a pure idiot trying to give every reason why you won't play us but still pretend that you are the best that EKY has to offer. Hell, Beechwood plays CovCath and Mayfield drills 5A and 6A schools. I applaud your ability to play local teams, but I'm much happier in the boat we are sitting in. When you put ad after ad after ad out stating our open dates and these are the only teams that respond, I'm good with it. Not a thing we can do about it. We want 2 year deals but everyone that has the same open dates as us want a single game with no trip to JC in return. We have open dates next year for Week 2 and 3. Not sure who RECC will bring in for us to play in Week 1. Weeks 5-9 are district games. Harlan Co. is Week 4 and Belfry in Week 10. Those two open dates were posted 3 weeks ago on ListServ and we have yet to get a response.
