Claiborne used to be very good but the era of consolidation has drilled then like the rest. Tuck with a big game and leads them to a win

Pineville by 10 if #32 gets rolling. One of the best running backs in 1A. I've heard Claiborne has a lot of players so fresh bodies in the game could wear down the Mountain Lions.

Pineville by at least 2 tds. It's amazing at the football drop off on the south side of the border

Thanks everyone!! Just don't know anything about them at all.

Like the rest?
Bell really fell apart after consolidation.
Who consolidated with Claiborne? I thought they had the only team over there, besides Cumberland Gap.

Claiborne has 3 feeder teams SMMS , TNT and some other Middle School , they have a really good enrollment so they should have decent teams year in and year out but they don't , football really isn't important to them I guess.
Oh and btw it's Claiborne not Claiborne County.
This will be a tough game for Pineville and it could go either way , I'm very curious to see how this one plays out. Go lions!!!

Midway doesn't even play football in middle school... Elementary you have TNT and Springdale... They havn't had a decent football team since like 07 or something when Ryan Helton was the rb he was a beast... I guess the kids just dont get enough practice at the game in middle school unless they attend SMMS...

Claibornes enrollment count is 801 so what would that make them in a Kentucky class?

Claiborne is okay. They killed the gap. I support both cumberland gap and middlesboro, got family on both.

what was the score

Pineville has a solid 1A team. If they stick to their gameplan, there shouldn't be much to worry about in this one.

Mountain Lion 4 Life Wrote:45-0Didn't expect that one... I didn't think Claiborne was that good this year I thought this would be a really close game... Not saying Pineville is that bad but considering Claiborne is much larger you know...

I thought it would be more interesting than this, but I was concerned some going in. We're very young with a small line, and compared to them we couldn't match up close at all in depth. They shut us all the way down, it was tough moving the ball all night. When we would begin to move the ball the few times that we did, we either fumbled or threw an interception. Both of our lines failed to do their jobs. Just a horrible night for us, but injury free at least. I think Coach will get them straightened back out this week though.

When you pick winners in HS football games and you don't know anything about the team you are playing, always look at the school enrollment, Tenn. teams in A lot of situations can have A loosing record in Tenn, but very good when they play KY, teams.

I am most always for Pineville other than when they play the burg, I have watched them for years, they are due A excellent team, They have always bounced back.

Have to be for Pineville. Especially when Tuck's boy is under center.

Pineville we be fine I think.. Claiborne isn't very good this year its just when you have a 4a school from TN playing a 1A school from KY it's bound to get ugly at some point... I went to school at Pineville before switching to Middlesboro then Claiborne all are great schools but Claiborne is just much much larger than both of them combined..
