Looks like 3 people are voting...they don't update it in time to have it on Sports Overtime (always showing the previous week poll), Sports Overtime show shortened and mostly commercials...hate to say it but if Sports Overtime isn't dead it's definitely on life support. Really kind of sad because it was a great show for years.

But the problem is, who have they beat THIS year. Polls aren't supposed to reflect last year solely. I think that's the problem some people have with Williamsburg over Pikeville in polls. I know it makes me a little leery.

I definitely think that Williamsburg deserves respect right now, and IMO they deserve a little more after beating 3a Wayne County like they did. However Wayne is down a little right now. IMO no one can take anything from Pikeville right now. They are undefeated against some good programs too, and all I can say about them after winning over Belfry is, WOW!!! I'd definitely like to see a Pikeville vs Williamsburg matchup, that would be a game to remember, IMO!!

What about a team that has played 3 of the top ten, and lost, but would still beat most of them? HC has played one of the most difficult schedules in the Mountains! STATE! Granted they are very young. They lost a whole heckofa lot from last year. Massie going to W'burg hurt!

If you are implying Harlan County I don't see anyone in the top 10 I would consider them a favorite against right now.

In fact I would even go as far as to say I think Southwestern has a better claim than HC.

I say take it one at a time. If both teams make it to Game #14, have at it. I just don't want to count my chickens before they hatch. Williamsburg has a very tough Hazard bunch waiting on them before they can even consider Pikeville. Maroons are so much better than everybody else they get lost in the discussion. They are far and away the best team in the mountains.
