I was surprised at the size of some counties.

Pike County is the largest with 786.83 sq. miles
Christian County is 2nd with 717.50 sq. miles
Pulaski County is 3rd with 658.41 sq. miles
Hardin County is 4th with 623.28 sq. miles

Gallatin County is the 2nd smallest county with 101.23 sq. miles
Robertson County is the smallest county with 99.91 sq. miles

The most eye opening statistic about a lot of those counties (especially in EKY) are the poverty rates and median incomes.

Keep in mind that was from 2010. The numbers have surely decreased a bit in the last 4 years due to job loss. Even more so than the 2013 estimate
