I have had great savings and great customer service at both stores? What is everyone's thoughts on products, customer service and savings in regards to these two top leading sporting goods stores?

^I never had good service at either place in the Ashland area. Dunhams never had anything in supply that I needed at the time. However, I have had good service and deals at Dick's in other locations, particularly at the Dick's where I live in North Carolina.

Depends on the item/s you are seeking.

We saved a good chunk buying shoes at Dunhams in August. I think Dunhams does a better job with their sales. Dicks must be tighter with their profit margins.

Our family shops both based on need and turn around time. Their web sites and mailers are equally as good.

Dicks has a better selection on fishing and hunting supplies. As far as guns Dunhams has as good or better selection as Dicks.

I went to Dicks Sporting Goods in Lexington a few years ago to buy a pellet gun for my nephew. When I asked to look at certain guns the clerk told me I should go to Wal Mart to get the gun because they were a lot cheaper there.
