I'll be at the game.
Look for a big crowd at this game, Hazard's first home game of the season and its Black Gold Festival this weekend in Hazard.

Fairview by 10 their passing game is not that big threat deep as it sounds in the box score. they basically you short passes to get the ball to the outside quicker. Roy seldom throws the ball more than 5 yards downfield about 50 petcent of his passes will be cought behind the line of scrimmage.

Hazard by 14 go dogs.

Hazard will win this one.

I believe that Hazard will win this game, but I'm not so sure that Fairview can't run the ball. They have pretty good size on the O line and some very speedy kids but at this point with how the passing game is going no need to show everything. The kid they have at QB can pick you apart.

I had plans on being in attendance but not sure if I will be able to but would love too..

I was looking at Fairview numbers and they have thrown for 324,354, and 485. Hazard has given up 31 yards to Pikeville, 202 to Letcher, and 131 to Somerset. I think hazard holds fairview to about 250 passing yards and about 80 yards rushing.. But this will be a good test for the hazard secondary.

Hey Talon did Fairview ever get those few guys who were sidelined on the field yet? I think you guys will have a better run in 1a this year then some think. Good luck the rest of the way. I honestly like Hazard in this game because of the Jones kid that Hazard has. I think he is the key to this game. If he get's loose it will be a long night, but if you can keep him in check with 100 or less and 1TD or less then it is anyones game IMO.

No not yet . One will be eligible our next game after this one when we play East Ridge . The other 2 we should have back later in the season , probably when we play Pike County Central , or Raceland.

Good luck at holding Jones to about 100 yards. Only way he doesn't get his yardage is if he sits out due to an injury.

Fairview has tinkered with defense to help stop jones and run game. letting some OL players to also play defense #50 & #67 are playing both ways this week. along side #51. pretty good front 3...also #9 has moved to LB. lets just say some more beef up front. good luck to both teams. this has turned into somewhat of a rivalry between 2 good 1A programs with Fairview winning the last 2.

Jones is averaging 205 yards a game. He had around 150 some yards on 11 carries. Eager to see and hear if they stop him.

The key to stoping a back like Jones is getting some hats on him in the backfield. If you let him get in your secondary untouched with a head of steam then it's all over but the crying.

If your going to hit him in the backfield then it needs to be more than 1.. You may get lucky a few times but it won't be every play. People from Pikeville to Somerset this year and to all the others they will tell you. I also must say hazard is getting to be pretty balanced too and fooling teams when they think the ball is going to Jones and hitting the open reciever.
