Pulaski County vs Rockcastle County 9-19
#31
The 09 game was lots of fun we were down 14 going into the 4th quarter and scored 21 unanswered to win the game we couldn't stop there running back at all... The 09 team could score in bunches and fast...

I certainly hope for an injury free game, but I don't think this game will be close.

ROCKSOLID69 Wrote:If I remember right it was 41-14 very late into the 3rd quarter. everyone thought the game was over. Fans were leaving, Rock had the starters pulled (which was dumb) and everything was fine. then boom it was 28-41 rock put starters back in but couldn't seem to stop Alex or RC white. PC stormed back tied the game 41-41 with just over 2 minutes to go. rock was forced to punt and held PC in check until fourth down. that's when PC scored on a pass to the back of the end zone with 15 seconds remaining. I was Pissed but amazed. Alex was fun player to watch. he did a lot of things that night that was nuts.

I was there. Rock coaches didn't adjust. Their D line was tanked from pursuit on the third from the last Pulaski offensive series. It was obvious Pulaski was going to have to throw the ball like crazy with the time that was left and I always felt that if they put fresh legs in on the front D line or rotated some kids in for some speed for the rush and rested the guys the comeback would have been stopped. They didn't adjust and Pulaski made that huge comeback. I blame that particular loss not on the kids, but, on the coaching. Being on the receiving end sucked and being on the comeback end would have been pretty sweet. It WAS amazing and awfully disheartening as a loss. Clark Rowe had over 300 yards in that game, if I'm not mistaken, rushing. That team had so many close last second losses. They lost to Southwestern on a 4 down and long Hail Mary in the final thirty seconds. They lost to Knox Central in overtime. But, they WERE competitive....it was just a heart breaking year that year.

The Mighty Mustangs are 3-1. The W-L record for the three teams they beat is 1-11. Three of the worst teams in the state. I like it when people throw out jabs like that!

I hope your South Laurel Cardinals turn it around quickly because you are losing your mind Jimmy

You're too late. Mister Peabody's coal train has hauled Muhlenburg County away.

For all you Maroon fans. Bowling Green hosts McCaiile Tn tonight. McCallie is a big private school with a heck of a football team. This is a team that the Purples beat on a 99 yard drive with time running out. BG lost a lot of players and McCallie returns most of their team. If BG gets past McCallie, they will break the consecutive win record and probably be undefeated when they play the maroons.
