Who you got in this one?

I like Hazard to win. I'm pulling for Fairview though.

Fairview has, and it pains me to say this, undoubtedly one of the top 2 or possibly the top QB in the area. They have a great set of recievers and an uptempo offense that can really give a defense fits. They can put up points in a hurry. With that said, their defensehas allowed some points. Lawrence County was able to run the ball pretty efficiently having 2 backs go for over 100 and 150 respectively. In all, they have goven up around 300 yds and 27 pts/game. Its because of this that I like Hazard to win. Unlike past games with Hazard, Fairview lacks the ground game to keep Hazard off the field. Keeping Fairview off the field will be key. Imo, Hazard will do so, couple that with playing AT Hazard, I like Hazard by 3 scores. Jones is the answer and goes for around 200. If Fairview manages to keep him in check and pull off a win on the road, they will have my full and undevided attention.

I think Fairview hands tough but falls short in the end to a superior team. And if Fairview doesn't already have your attention then you may need a cup of coffee, they are a scrappy bunch who can wreck your Friday night.

Airview is for real. Hazard will have their hands full.

Tbh, no one in NEKY has really impressed me outside of a few individual players. From a team standpoint I kind of feel the same about Fairview as I do the rest of the usual NEKY qualit teams. Raceland, really impressed me against Ashland, but at this point Im not sure how good Ashland is right now. It took 4 quarters for Russell to beat Greenup, but then they went toe to toe with Ashland and pulled out a win AT Putnam Stadium. Lawrence Co has a ton of Atheletes, but they havent really had to play anyone outside of Fairview. That is the fommon thread. None of these NEKY teams have played anyone outside of eachother to give us a gauge on how good they really might be. This week will give us a better idea with Fairview@hazard, Raceland vs Coal Grove. I meant no disrespect, its just the fact that all of these teams have showed that they are better than many of is expected them to be, then teams like Lawrence and Ashland, though they are winning games, seem to be heading backwards from how ty began the season. Its just been an odd, odd, first half of the season for me.

I think Fairview's offense is incomplete, until they develop a rushing game to offset the aerial attack, I think the leading rusher against Bellevue had 26 yards on twelve carries. I'm taking Hazard.

Roy has another big night though the air but comes up just a little short

I think hazards defense is coming along quite well and getting into football game shape. It also hurts that they lost Blanton who could of been a big contributor to both offense and defense. Mikehancho did you watch the Somerset game in person and if you did fill me in again good sir.

Odd thinking that Fairview needs to run more to balance their offense.

Hahaha a truer statement has never been spoken/typed . I'm still shocked over our drastic change of direction in our offense , but i like it ! We are fun to watch now. A little more run game to compliment the pass would be nice though just to keep things honest .

Fairview can score but going to Hazard they will need their defense to stop a really good Hazard bunch, and I don't think that will be too easy. Hazard controls the clock a bit with their good running game and wins this one, 35-17.
09-16-2014, 08:51 AM
I almost forgot that hazard hasn't played home yet. Hazard will be jacked up to play at home. Counting there scrimmage games they have been on the road 5 times.
09-16-2014, 04:47 PM
Anybody here making the trip down to Hazard?
09-16-2014, 05:50 PM
Gonna be hard to beat the Dawgs at their place. Hazard wins this one.
