Pulaski coming back home after the win over Russel County. Rock coming off the big win over Whitley County. PC 4-0 Rock 3-1, who gets the win in this rivalry game?

Another nasty score for Pulaski county.
Pulaski county 64
Rockcastle County 00
Going to pick 64 one of these days......

I don't think this is a rivalry game

I'm being realistic and know that the young Rockcastle will be playing what is essentially a seasoned Pulaski team. It's going to be tough for Rock and I'm glad they've got some wins to bolster their confidence going into this game. I've said it each week, I hope nobody gets hurt and that both teams advance into the district play healthy. Who knows what might happen with high school age kids? It's why they play the game to find out.

This is definitely a rival, there have been some great games in the past. I hope Pulaski keeps their hunger and focus in check. I'll take the Maroons.

I think Rock will put up a few points but not near enough. PC 42 ROCK 13. Pulaski looking more and more like they have what it takes on defense to win a state title.

It will be as bad as Pulaski wants it to be. Will Pulaski call the dogs off? Or, will they pour it on?
Pulaski Co. 52
Rockcastle Co. 14
Pulaski Co. 52
Rockcastle Co. 14

What is the record between the teams. We never played Pulaski when I was in school.

Over the past 10 years it has become a very good rivalry. These teams are only 30 minutes apart and bring big crowds anytime they play. Besides Southwestern, Rockcastle is probably the next in line as far as rivalries go for Pulaski. Especially now that Somerset is no longer on that list.

Rock is not really a rival just like Russell Co is not as well. PC wants to act like everybody on their schedule is a rival I guess for motivation and ticket sales. I guess theycan schedule Casey Co next year and call them a rival as well. Cmon!!! Somerset and SW are the only legitimate rivals on this years schedule.

I thought madison southern was bigger rival than rockcastle
no one at work talks much about the rockcastle game as much as they do the madison southern game
as a matter of fact some co workers gave me a 35pt spread for 20.00
not much of a rivaly with that kind of pt spread

Not all rivalries are built on performance, some are built on borders. I'd bet some of the kids on the Pulaski Rockcastle line might believe it's a rivalry. How did this become a touchy topic here?

Interesting game for locals...yes. Rival game....not quite.

Mad South has become a good rivalry. 2 great team battling it out for district supremacy the past couple of years all being close games. I expect another barnburner this year also.

I remember the good ole days when our biggest rival was Laurel Co. Those were the days.

That's hard to believe we didn't play Pulaski anymore that that
Especially since we have had a school since the 1970s

I know you would think they would have with both schools being so close. Didn't play until 2008 bowl game at Somerset. have played ever since

I remember the 09 game. That was insane! Eastham to Abner around 45 yards on 4th down for the game winner. I've been to a lot of football games over 25+ years and that 2009 team was one of the funnest I can remember.
I do consider the series a rivalry from the standpoint that it's a 3-2 series and, for the most part, competitive games each year. Pulaski has had the better of the game the last few years, but we still look forward to playing Rock.

How did they convince you to give Pulaski 35 points?

I am 39 years old and I played vs Pulaski at Pulaski. Around 90 or 91. Young people remember the world didn't begin just yesterday.

If I remember right it was 41-14 very late into the 3rd quarter. everyone thought the game was over. Fans were leaving, Rock had the starters pulled (which was dumb) and everything was fine. then boom it was 28-41 rock put starters back in but couldn't seem to stop Alex or RC white. PC stormed back tied the game 41-41 with just over 2 minutes to go. rock was forced to punt and held PC in check until fourth down. that's when PC scored on a pass to the back of the end zone with 15 seconds remaining. I was Pissed but amazed. Alex was fun player to watch. he did a lot of things that night that was nuts.
