2 and 3 will be settled on the Field. When does SK play the Camels?

SK hasn't played anyone to deserve to be ranked over Cov Cath or the Birds.

We beat the 4a state champs. That makes CovCath and Highlands look bad.

You mean the 4a state champs that havent won a game and have given up over 1200 yards of offense right.....lol:yikes:

The are the "Defending" champs, a completely different team. SK has done nothing to prove they belong jumping over CCH and HHS in the polls. Just a lot of folks would love for anybody but HHS and CCH to be at the #1 spot (how long has it been?) and are jumpiing the gun to put anybody that looks even close to doing that. Sorry not ready to put SK there yet! Let the season play out and SK prove against some good teams and HHS/CCH fall, because neither has done anything to warrent a drop yet this year.

As a big time bird fan I would say Cov Cath, SK and Highlands are all probably pretty close...
as stated above the Birds and Cov Cath will settle it themselves...
It will be a pissing match of how far the 4A winner gets and how far SK gets to see who the NKY champ is
I miss the old 3A of NKY that looked like this:
H, CovCath, SK, Scott, Holmes, Ryle, Dixie, & Conner
not many non district games on schedules....

Sorry SS, but that won't happen unless they make it to the 3rd or 4th week of the playoffs when they have no say over who they play. When they choose opponents, this is what you get.
4A Collins 1-3
2A Holy Cross 0-3
5A Conner 0-3
2A NCC 0-3
5A Bullit Central 3-0 (BTW, BC plays a schedule similar to SK. Their 3-0 record is against teams that are a combined 2-8)

1. Highlands - they're barely unbeaten, but they have quality wins over a couple good teams.
2. Covington Catholic - no team in NKY has played a team as good as Moeller, they're #2 pending what they do against Henderson County. If CCH wins today, they'll be tied for #1.
3. Simon Kenton - real test is this upcoming week against Cooper, the 4 teams they've played have combined for 1 win and gave up 508 combined points this season.
4. Campbell County - win over Cooper bumps them up, but they're still "just good enough." I feel like they could be better than they've shown
5. Dixie Heights - Nice win over Turpin, Dixie is starting to gel on the field. Shouldn't have any issues with NCC
5. Cooper - I think they're even with Dixie, tough loss last night. How they play against SK next week will show where a lot of teams stack up
7. Scott - technically unbeaten, beat an athletic and big Newport team handily
8. Beechwood - didn't waste any time beating Holy Cross, they're tough, but still have issues against teams with depth
9. Lloyd - they've looked impressive against teams they should look impressive against. But they haven't played a strong schedule
10. Newport - they beat Walton Verona head to head which is why they're #10. They can't unravel though

i like it... But it should be:
1/2: Highlands / cov cath... I dont think there is a way to put one above the other.
I also like how you put scott in there.. That program has come a long way in the past three years

I don't think simon Kenton deserves this either. Highlands and Cov Cath is an interesting matchup because Highlands beat them pretty handily last year. However, they lost over 30 seniors to graduation and even though Cov Cath lost a lot too I'm anxious to see where they both are after the play each other? Whomever proves themselves in that game I think should be on top for sure.
