After watching LC practice yesterday I am not thinking it will be that close. They have added some new wrinkles to the already potent offense and some changes on defense that I am sure are just for Airview. The Airview QB may have a long night.

I was impressed by the different sets LC has already shown. You can do alot of different things out of those formations. It is good to see LC not being one dimensional and not afraid to try new things. The Athletes we got has something to do with that I know. But good job LC Coaching Staff keep it up!

putting in new sets is standard in week 2 or 3. nobody is gonna show all their hand at once. Fairview also has added a wrinkle or two in their system , moved some players from offense to defense and vice versa. AIR RAID offense is the real deal. good luck to both teams. been a while since Lawrence co has come to little ol Fairview. should be a good game EAGLES 34 puppy dawgs 32

Talon Wrote:1st team D only gave up 7 points. FHS fumbled the opening kickoff , & set EC up 1st , & goal from the 1 yard line which they scored . Then EC ran a kickoff back making it 42-14 at the half . FHS played 2nd , & 3rd team D the entire 2nd half . Coach Ray kept 1st team O in until the 4th but ran very very conservatively . Now with that said FHS is just too young , & inexperienced for LC this time .
The first score was a little longer than first and goal at the 1, it was an onside kick so the drive was about 50 yards. Fairview won, but give East a little credit.

Lc safetys are little banged up but will play if keesee and richardson play the hole game it will make a big difference between the two of them they have created 5 turnovers in the 1st two neither played much in the second half verses rowan co. Richardson has 2 picks keesee has coused 2 fumbles and has a 60 yard pick 6. Keesee will lay a hit on you that you will feel for awhile. Fairview receivers my get alligator arms by the 2nd quarter. For fairview alex roy is the real deal has a good arm, good size, can run with power, and had excellent field vision. Lc will have to get pressure on him while staying in their lanes or he will be gone.

The key to any defensive success is stopping things within you base set. Be it a 4-4, 3-4, 3-3, 5-2(rare these days), or whatever. Which ever team can do this will win this ball game. I think the Dawgs stand a better chance at that than Fairview does. Lawrence looks about like Raceland across the board. Lots of good skilled recievers who hardly drop a ball thas thrown to them and have the ability to run the ball between the tackles. Fairview's run game hasnt showed much outside of Roy. If LC keep Roy from getting loose, and picking up 4-5 yds/carry off of scrambles it will make for a long nght for the Eagles.

If you think Fairview can limit Lawrence County at 32 points then Fairview must have one heck of a defense.

I got to see the Fairview game against East Carter. The Fairview O line isn't all that big, our defensive line is just as big. The QB throws a nice ball at times but at other times they get away from him, if he does that against the Lawrence defensive backfield he will pay big time. I noticed that he don't like to throw under pressure and likes to get his feet set. The best athlete they have on the field (as far as I can see) is #3, kid is a playmaker with some good speed and will need to be acounted for. I don't think #9, #31 and #35 will have much trouble in getting pressure on the Fairview QB and the Fairview defense will have no answere for the Bulldog offense and with the size of the Fairview defensive backfield, I think #11 could have a big game for the Dawg's. Just put it up where onley he can get it and then let him do his thing. I would also like to see some passing to the TE because they have a small defense.

I didn't find anything for Russell. A lot of teams use Hudl. All you get to see is highlights, but I think if your a coach or team member then they have practice and full game film of the next oponent and all of that stuff on there, but you would probably need to be invited by the coach or something and need a password to even get on it. All you do is team name then hudl like-Russellfootballhudl and if that team is on Hudl then you can see highlights.

Would like to see no. 2 run the ball, an catch it. Looks fast an quick to me, or am I seeing things? Whatever.

He was in middle school was the half back broke his arm early in the season and came back for the playoffs. Just have a lot of good backs right now more valuable at safety with his ability to break on the ball. Richardson and chifins both good backs just needed more in the secondary.
09-04-2014, 09:34 PM
Richardson and Chaffins. I agree the Bulldogs do have a lot of good running backs, but eventually I see Richardson touching the football on offense.
09-04-2014, 10:06 PM
Yeah I agree we have a lot of good Backs hard to get them all touches. Richardson is a beast in the secondary and is a good fit for him. I was bragging on #11 having a choice after High School but same can be said of Richardson. If he keeps up the great work in the secondary the sky is the limit for Him.

I think the Dawgs take this one, but unless Fairview fails to show up on offense I don't think is going to be like the Boyd county game. I know LC played very flat against BC, but the eagles should still be far more potent on offense than the lions.

Lawrence County deeper and better, the eagles may score a few points but Bulldogs score a lot more.
