Fairview 54 East Carter 29
#1
final
#2
That's about what I expected.
#3
Fairview let up way too early . Disappointed that we called the dogs off so early in the game

Why? Was this not a big enough win?

Dont get me wrong i dont want us to kill a teams spirit , but calling the dogs off so early in a game without a running clock shouldnt happen either . If we were up 20 or 30 points at the top of 4th sure call the dogs off , but we called the dogs off when we were up by 28 but it was somewhat early in the game still

On a different not Alex Roy threw for 399 yards , 3tds . Not sure how much Roy ran for yet , but had to been 100 yards rushing , & he scored 3 rushing tds as well

Fairview defense appears to need some work. Offense working against a very weak EC defense. Next weeks game vs Lawrence County should tell a lot about both teams. The LC defense will be tested by a capable Fairview offense. But the LC offense is able to score from anywhere on the field. Should be a very interesting game.

Our 1st team D only gave up 7 points, BUT we need a lot of work everywhere especially the OL , & D in general . While i would like to say we could take LC in a close game , im going to be brutally honest , & LC wins by 3+ tds next week

^^^i thought the same thing about Raceland and Ashland. Raceland proved to me that thy are a good squad. In more relavent talk, congrats to Fairview and their win, suprised East put up that many pts though. Did Fairview have any offense outside of Roy?

Wr Washington had the most receiving yards , but Gullett , & Smith had nice game also . Soph RB Ruggles showed me tonight he will be a nice back

399 yards passing. Fairview has changed its approach to football.

324 yards for qb roy not 399. that's stretching it a little bit. but none the less nice game. OL up the middle needs work center position and left guard. three bad snaps from center last night. especially the very first one. maybe nerves. but right side OL looked mighty tough. RG an RT looked formidable and gave roy plenty of protection. defense is known as swarm defense. KICKOFFS and KICKOFF RETURNS special teams all together will kill this teams momentum. very poor special teams all the way around. if you don't practice special teams then how do you think you will preform?? all in all not bad by the eagles considering the mass exodus:notbad:

Correction Roy had 324 yards passing not 399 . I got bad info of the passing stats from the radio my apologies

Again it was very early in the game when the HC pulled the starting D , & went to a very conservative O . A running clock wasnt in play . Like i said had it been later in the game like top of the 4th or even halfway into the 3rd fine no problem or as soon as a running clock was put into play than fine call the dogs off , but that wasnt the case here . Im sure we will get scored on big this year as well , but i wouldnt expect the other team to start subbing out until at least top of the 4th unless their was a running clock.
