Murray 28 Madison Central 21
#1
Final.
#2
According to twitter, Madison Central had the ball with about 2 minutes and something to go and threw an INT.
#3
What class is Murray, aren't they 2A?
#4
Yes Murray is 2a.

FF- what's your point? Murray is a good football team. Mark will get Central righted. Not everyone can be handed a stud RB.

WOW man, just asking what Class a team was in. I know a few of Central's coaches they will be fine...a little touchy don't you think? If Madison Central never would have hired Bert Browne then Damien would be at Central...and that you can take to the bank. Madison Central will be just fine in a year. Madison Co. in general right now has some good middle school ball players on both ends of the county so I'm not hating in any way!!!

Not every small school is bad and not every big school is good. Sometimes a team just has better players/coaches/program.

No one outside of the Lexington/Richmond area would know. We were scheduled to play Clark Moore Saturday and they bailed on us Friday and put us in a bind to find games. In my experiences, the middle school folks up there talk a lot and play a little.

Well all I know is Madison Central has 3 feeder schools, and Madison Southern has 2 so, outside of the county these teams dont have to play many other schools due to school board limiting as much travel as possible for middle school teams. I know Central as 50 on their freshman team and Southern has about the same...that solid if you can keep 30 per class.

Then don't commit to play teams outside of the mileage radius that you are willing to travel. It's simple. Clark Moore is an hour away and they dropped on Friday afternoon. Friday night we had another team scheduled in their spot. That team drove down about 2 and a half hours on the fly from Cincinnati. The Richmond schools will not step out of that 30 mile or so radius to play. When they have success after playing only local teams in middle school, they believe they're invincible in the entire state when they get into high school. You get what you produce (in your feeder system) and develop, unless you get that once in a lifetime player. It's showing at Madison Central and it will show at Southern once Harris leaves.

Not touchy at all. Not a Central fan but am a fan of Mark Scenters, guy knows ball and does it the right way. My apologies if I took that comment wrong, if it wasn't a dig, then I'm sorry.

Murray will be a threat to win the 2A Championship Caldwell has a good offense but Murray defense will be the key, their better than caldwell defense. Murray in the 2a finals out of the west.

New program and style.... I feel that Madison Central will be a different 'team' by end of
season. Coach Scenters will have them on the right path!

Yeah, wasn't a dig at all. I look for Central to get better throughout the year and in a couple of years they should be back in the top 10 or 15 teams in 6A.

I will agree with that. All the Madison Co Middle school teams need to play a wide range of teams, but the school board kind of sets the policy along with the local conference they play in.
