Final
Pulaski dominates this one.
Running clock right after halftime.
Could have been much worse. Pulaski was on pace to score 60+.
Corbin with 4 or 5 TO's and never got much going. One good run in the second half, and a score on the last play of the game.
Pulaski had to have over 400 yards. Hall with a big game.
Pulaski does need to work on there kicking game.
Corbin will have to regroup after this one....

I was hoping Corbin could have taken this one. Sounds like they were never in this one.

PC ran the opening kickoff of the 2nd half back for a TD and made it 32-0 and the running clock began. So a running clock the entire second half and PC just let up after that.

Quick and painful! Corbin never had a chance.

Looks like Corbin might not be as good as advertised:HitWall:

OUCH!! Thought this game would have been a lot closer!! I knew Pulaski was loaded but figured the hounds would stick around longer then they did. No where to go from here but up!! Congrats Pulaski your in for a very fun year!!!

Corbin was driving inside the red zone trailing 6-0 and Pulaski stopped them on 4th and short. Than after Pulaski went up 13-0 after a turnover, Corbin was stopped again on 4th and goal. Then the wheels fell off as Corbin fumbled and Pulaski ran it in for a TD, then threw an INT that was turned into another score. Corbin had to play mistake free football to play with a team like Pulaski Co., and obviously didn't do that. Corbin was able to drive the ball 80 yds for a TD on their first possession of the second half.
Congrats to the Maroons who had too much for the Hounds tonight.

I expect to see a few more players start playing both ways. Pulaski found a couple of spots in the defense that they really took advantage of. You're right though, some of the bad tackling that they were able to get away with in the Middlesboro scrimmage will get you beat badly against a team like Pulaski.

Corbin will be a better team by the end than what they showed tonight. It's hard for a first year coach to take on a team the caliber of Pulaski in the very first game. Good win by PC. Congrats to Jaylon Conwell on offensive MVP and George Gregory on defensive MVP.

Corbin not as good as some thought.

I think Corbin will be ok. Pulaski is just on another level right now. This Pulaski team was pretty young last year and took it all the way to Bowling Green. This is their year and I don't think a team in the Mountains can stop em.

How many losing seasons is Hadix allowed before he gets the boot? Going 3-7,4-6 dont cut it in Corbin. I think hes going to regret the safety net he left at Perry.

I wouldn't judge Corbin just yet. This Pulaski team is the best team in EKY in the last 4 or 5 years. They will be running the clock on a lot of quality teams this year.

Long year for the Redhounds..

After 1 game against Pulaski County you are givin him the Boot!! The kids will soak up the offense and get better.. I'm guessing Haddix don't regret a thing nor worry about safety nets.... He has those at home.

Pulaski is extremely good. It will take Corbin a couple of games to find their footing.

Seriously, You are already talking about Haddix getting fired after one game. This team will improve drastically with each passing week. Implementing a new offense is going to take time, and anyone who expects otherwise, is unrealistic. All of the teams remaining on Corbin's schedule, including the teams they face in the playoffs, would not play within two touchdowns of this Pulaski team. Haddix will prove all the doubters wrong, such as yourself by seasons end. Good luck Redhounds!!!

Tough opening with a state finalist who returns almost their entire line up. Pulaski should be close to November form. These kids are starting for their third year.

This game was not A game to measure Corbin but A test as to how good Pulaski really is. I look for them to run the table, and Corbin to get better and be A team that will go deep in the playoffs.

Oh my, How quick some are to judge. Makes me glad I'm out of Coaching. This Corbin Team will be good. Pulaski is better than any team in Eastern Kentucky. They will have a running clock on many this year. Corbin needs just go back to work and keep heads up. They will have a good season.
08-23-2014, 04:24 PM
Not judging but a lot of these Corbin folks talking about winning this game.
08-23-2014, 04:33 PM
Pulaski is good but reality is setting in for Corbin.
08-23-2014, 06:12 PM
Running clock I said, there you go. Gut must be smoking it to think Corbin was even going to be in this one. Corbin is not as good as you fans want to think.

Corbin not living up to hype, at all. They will get better , but should go 0-2 to start year. Most people that know football, knew they had no shot at all last night. I think next week they do have a shot, but lose again.

I said running clock starting the second half and was pretty close. Corbin could like I said earlier in the summer they could be starting out 0-2.

Where are all of those Corbin people that where predicting that win.:hilarious:

This game was an indicator as to how good Pulaski County is and not how bad Corbin is. Don't get me wrong, I thought Corbin had a punchers chance but I severely underestimated Pulaski County. They are far and away the best team in Eastern KY and showed it last night. Corbin will likely go anywhere from 7-3 to 9-1 this season and are very very good. Anyone saying Haddix isn't working are ignorant. This was game one with a whole new offense against one of the top 10 best teams in Kentucky regardless of class. Not many teams would do any better.
I still stand firmly behind saying that aside from Pulaski, Belfry, and Johnson Central, Corbin is the 4th best team in the mountains. Last night was a good test and a humbling experience for the Hounds. They will bounce back. Southwestern is a very very good team despite last years record. They could knock off the Hounds too but expect a much better showing and I expect the Hounds to get the win Friday. Best of luck to Pulaski County and hope to see them back in Bowling Green, this time on the other side of the scoreboard! Bring it home!
