coach Hall was a great coach and a great person.the AD at Powell co is a jerk and they don't deserve a good coach. so suck it up Jack. Good luck coach Hall your so much better than that bunch of losers.

$6,600 is what the Powell County website says the head coach makes. IS there any names surfacing for this job?

I heard aan assistant coach named Cornett was getting the job. I have never heard of him.Anyone else heard this? If so what are your thoughts?

No way Cornett would take the job after the way coach Hall was treated, Tim is to loyal to the friends he works with to take a job that the head coach was run off.

Tim is a good guy, but not head coach material. I'm sure he would tell you that he just wants to be an assistant.

I have Coach Hall as a friend on FaceBook.... And I had him all four years on high school at Johnson Central

The night they won the district, people was tagging him in photos with him and the team being escorted by a fire truck and what looked like a good turnout for a celebration parade.

Then he gets fired.... I don't know the politics of Powell County, but something is wrong there.

Last time I checked, Powell County doesn't have any state championships and very few regional titles. It's not like he was he brought a a state power down to a bottom feeder.

Coach Hall will be alright. He's too good of a coach not to get a position were he is respected.

It will pay 7500 next year. Coach Hall is a great guy, but unfortunately it was a done deal before the season started. He will be missed by most of the people in powell county. I've heard , unless he gets a job close to lexington, he is staying at PC to teach.
I've heard a couple names, but nothing concrete enough to put on here.

I have heard from several different people that the Powell job is between two people. Some assistant coach from Hazard (I don't know if its the Walker guy or Tim Parks) and a Smith guy from Clay County.

Heard from a guy pretty close to the situation, 4 applicants. A guy from West Virginia and one from Floyd County, Robert Hammonds at Letcher Central and Bobby Bowling all applied for the job. The guy from West Virginia and Floyd County are not finalists. Powell County maybe leaning towards Bobby Bowling from what I hear.

Would be a big loss in pay if Hammonds took the Powell job, that would never happen, but I"m sure the people in Letcher County wouldn't mind to much if he left!

From what I hear, Bobby has several people on his side over in Stanton that has a lot to do with this job.....he'll more than likely be Powell's next coach..

Have heard that Keith Hall may be the next man for the job in Powell County! He has a lot of knowledge of the game and is a big name around Powell County. Also, I think that his girl attends the school and plays basketball. Would be a nice addition to the school.
