Oh, you know....

Mayfield, Beechwood, Hazard, Fairview, Russellville, Pikeville, Frankfort Raceland, Williamsburg, Paintsville looks to be on the rebound.

I think you will also see Campbellsville and Lou. Holy Cross back in the mix.

Just another year in Class A

1.Mayfield - King of the 1A, I know a bunch that won't be sad to see you go
3.Beechwood - Get revenge on Frankfort to have one last chance at the Cardinals
3.Pikeville - Have home field throughout the playoffs. Schedule gets them ready for a run to BG.
4.Frankfort - Can they repeat their magical run from a year ago?
5.Hazard - Mr Jones & company get the Jackets at home this time around
6.Williamsburg - Very strong D coming back, BIG ? at the QB position. Strong play at the QB position in this offense & the Jackets could be back in BG.
7.Raceland - New Coach Salmons & do everything Messer try to repeat as region champs will be tough replacing 3 year starter at qb, leading rusher & big hogs up front are gone.
8.Russellville - Lost a big Sr class that was nasty, did they teach the young guys how to win?
9.Fairview - Post McPeek era? How many kids stay around? Eagles could surprise!
10.Paintsville - Chirico & the 3 headed Monster Daniels, Phelps, Belcher continue to bring pride back to Tiger football!

Hazard at number #5 :lmao:

I too think Hazard gets Williamsburg this time around and Pikeville gets Raceland...all of which should win their districts. WOULDNT SHOCK ME to see thińs swing the other way. Williamsburg was damn good last year. Losing that leadership and ability in their QB will be a bigger loss for them, than Beech and the line will be for Raceland. But Williamsburg's defense gives them a legit shot at repeating as state runner up. The gap has been narrowed AFTER Mayfield...but even with who they lost, they are still goina beat up whoever they face from the east.

At first i didnt like the realignment, but now, I think it will make for more competitive games, atleast in the regional, semis, and champ games. As much respect as I have for Mayfield, I am kind of looking foward to the next few years. The championship games will be ver competitive.

Hazard has a long way to go to be a top 5 teams.. They lost a very good group of linebackers who will be hard to replace

Scotty_Bronson unless hazard get some transfer could be a long year. Now most everybody on bgr said last year that this would be Williamsburg year in 2014. I was trying to tell everybody 2013 was Williamsburg year. I think if freshman Cameron sizemore starts at Qb and Skyler Griffith plays at receiver. This team will be back in Bowling Green.lf not I think we will still make it back if Skylar is the starting Qb..just saying. :Cheerlead

Williamsburg is and should be # 2 until a 1a team beats them... But they basically return everyone so they need to be that high..

Talking about west fever 4 of the top five. :lmao:

The west is and has been stronger than the east over the last several years. The west rep generally has won it all within this alignment. Springled in with a few Lexington Christian and Hazard vicotries. I will say though, that with Williamsburg and Raceland's young tallent in both the underclasses and in the feeder systems, the East will be represented b someone in orange and black for quite sometime. Raceland's next prime time run should be next year (2015) season. Raceland should and will suprise people next year though. I just dont think they will have enough to get past the semis IF they can get out of the region, bc u never know about Fairview and Paintsville is improving year by year. Chirico may get things done this year in the district. Who knows?

After doing some research on these teams and finding out what they have returning and realy wasn't too far off base at all so heres my top 10 and reason why...

1 Mayfield- Champ until beaten, return a lot of young talent but whos qb to get it to them
2 Williamsburg- Return everyone and only replacing a QB. Defense will be Williamsburg and that's what win championships
3 Frankfort- Return everyone as well and lots of play makers and a solid line
4 Beechwood- Return solid play makers and will have a senior dominate line but I Frankfort has there number again and has more playmakers..

5 Pikeville- Return some key seniors and that's my reason for them being at the 5 spot but eager to see how there line play is..
6 Hazard- Brandon Jones is all I need to say... Hazard should have several people to throw the ball too and not just 1 big target and having a balanced passing attack will help that offense.. They have a senior line but Pikeville has the senior play makers and that's why they get the nod over Hazard.
7 Raceland- Solid Play makers returning but not like what they had returning last year and a young line as well returning.. Another Question is the Messer kid going to play?
8 Russellville- Return 2 key players but could have some younger kids stepped up. Decent line returning but losing a senior line may be hard on the offense.

9 Paintsville- Dark Horse- Solid players returning Daniel will be healthy a year experience on phillip for the running back postions and two solid receivers and add Daymon Belcher too the mix and this team is dangerous.
10 Fairview- Not sure who is there and who is not but they have talent if it stays and maybe more can shed the light on the situation.. So some Fairview faithful chime in!

Well i think you could flip-flop hazard and paintsville bac2369. but you are close.

Defense will be the key. I think the top 3 will be very defensively sound. I actually think Russellville could eek out Wburg and have the number 4 spot before it is all over. I think Wburg may be the tops in the east, but there is a big drop off there right now. I don't know what the deal is over there. I think Hazard will rise again soon and make the east tough again.

I think you drop Mayfield down to 3rd with Frankfort or Beechwood in the top spot. Williamsburg somewhere in the top 6.

Mayfield will have some seasoning to do at the QB spot before you can put them at #1. The defense will be very good.
#28
They will still be #1. The qb spot will be fixed. It can go one of three different routes, but before the end of the season, it will be a well oiled machine. We won't have to score much next year though. The defense will be fast at every spot, as they always are. The boys have learned a lot about how to play together and they like each other too much to not win.
#29
if Williamsburg linebacker comes back shoulder, look out, they just got a transfer that looks great.
#30
Williamsburg got a transfer? Wow I wonder where he came from?
