North Laurel's sophomore shortstop Kailin Yantz blasts 2 home runs off of Hannah Hart, a 2 run shot and a 3 run blast, to lead North to the win. Leftfielder Natasha Colwell hit a solo shot off of Corbin's number 2. Mikayla Vires went the distance to pick up the win for North. Much better game by the young Jaguars today. Corbin just can't seem to find a way to beat North. Looks like it'll be the same old story in the 13th region.

Way to go Yantz!! She is a very competative player. Corbin may be a little overhyped?

Who is the better team in this region?

Corbin isn't playing very well early in the season. Only 1 run scored in the last 4 games. Looks like another Laurel Co. year in the 13th.

North Laurel, South Laurel, Clay County and Corbin in that order at this point. Middlesboro could possibly slide into the 3 or 4 spot. South could pass North.

North and South Laurel dominate the region and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Corbin may be over hyped by some, not sure why.

Corbin has certainly been overhyped, simply because they have a lot of players back from last year and Hart has been built up the last 2 years. However they have the same old problems, can't score and can't beat North. Looking at the Rowan County scores, they're going to have trouble beating anybody.

South Laurel and North Laurel both have young and talented teams. The reagion title will travel though Laurel County.

Hart is a decent pitcher, but can not stand up to Burns at South and the pitcher at North.

Why haven't they developed another pitcher or two?

Good question, seky fan, makes you wonder. You would think Hart would love to be able to play her at 2nd. Pitchers tend to get headlines, just sayin.

They have been a lot of accusation out of Corbin the last couple years. You have to wonder if there is some truth to some of the rumors.
