What happened? The blackcats were only down fourteen at the half.
#3
Who was the jerk from Prestonsburg that came down behind the Johnson Central bench during post game running his mouth?
#4
Impressive win!! Congratulations JC.

Nice season Black Cats!!

Kudos to the parent that stepped between him and the players. In todays society you never know with all the nuts out there.

That would be Mr Donnie Ray
#9
A few more of these big mouths need to be arrested for Disorderly to curb this behavior. Just because you buy a ticket doesn't give you the right to act like a moron in a public place.

That guy was a moron deserved his but kicked for running after kids like that

Surely not the one that coaches football at Prestonsburg. Such behavior from a staff member.

:eyeroll:

Now there's a real shocker!!!

Why should anyone be surprised by that one? Who let him out in public anyways?
#13
Once a idiot always a idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#14
Not only did Donnie Ray show his behind, but they had to get security to put John Derossett in his place for his actions toward the officials. It's a very sad day when your school representatives act this way.

Wow sounds like a classic

People take high school sports way too seriously.

I can understand kids acting immature, but an adult has no excuse. It doesn't look good for the school or community. However, I wasn't there, so I can't really comment on what happened or what was said.

Congrats to the Golden Eagles!

Now time for some baseball up on the hill for the Blackcats.

Good season Pburg

Not sure if its the same guy that was on the home side. But a guy from JC came over to Home side or something running his mouth to P'burg fans. And I saw Security escorting one dude from P'burg out. And trust me he was a big dude that it took a couple to escort. And you could tell the JC guy or even the Security wanted no part of the P'burg dude. JC had no business on that side and everyone talks about LC fans.
#19
Really shocked to hear that those particular "adults" acted that way.

And get this the JC fan didn't get a word said to him. Smh looks like its not only JC players that get special treatment.

Yeah. Cause they love us in Pikeville...?

It's not like this was a "Shocking" score....
JC played @ P-Burg in the last week of the regular season.... and JC won 84-43.

We didn't make the for trip last night's game, but I'm sure I'll hear all about it tonight.

Now to my thoughts on parents/fans/players acting stupid at HS sporting events......
The Superindendent, Principal, Athletic Director or somebody in an administrative role HAS TO STEP UP and be the bad guy from time to time. The school system's administration is responsible for their Players/Fans. No matter the age or gender of the people responsible.

Trust me, most of you know I referee HS wrestling and football... and have been doing so for 8 seasons now. And I know for a fact (because their have been some fans/players that have needed to be escorted from the gym/field for their behavior) and in every case if their was a school adminstrator present... without saying anything, THEY STEPPED UP and took responsibility of removing the player/fan that was associated with their school.

Fans are gonna be stupid.... but their has to be a "Grown Up" that keeps them in check before they DO something stupid.

Well, I was at this game and this is how I saw it... Things started to get "chippy" when Pburg decided to get rough and appeared to about take Hall out a time or two there. But, on the flip side you had JC up 25 in the 3rd with 4 out of 5 starters in with the full court press on... So I'm guessing that didn't help things much. If I'm JC coaching staff I pull my starters and play the JV and beat Pburg that way rather than taking a chance of getting my starters hurt.

May be one of the funniest post I have seen on here.Just like always the "big dude" runs his mouth and got called out on it last night. He got escorted out before he got hurt.I guarantee the "JC guy" never says a word to anyone. One of the quietest guys you will ever meet. But D R sure knows who he is now.

Maybe watch a little closer.JC was at the bottom of their bench with 7 minutes to go in the game.Maybe someone needs to tell their coach the walls are thin at the Expo Center. When you are telling your kids straight up."If they come down the lane I want them on their backs"then maybe it isn't the kids that is the problem its the coach.

I really like how Johnson Central is playing right now.But I thought Shelby Valley played a great game last night against Lawrence.Lawrence missed a lot of shots they usually make.Cant wait til tonight it should be a great game.

Well, I'm just not sure how much of a "basketball" coach their HC is. Everyone knows that there is a power struggle at Prestonsburg to see who can control the "athletes."

Jack Pack, former basketball coach, took the Prestonsburg baseball gig before Simpkins came in to try and gain the upper hand. I remember once JC was slated for a double header with Prestonsburg in baseball and in the second game, Coach Pack said "we are going to hit one more time and that will be good." Game was in the second inning! He was just filling that spot to try and gain ground to be competitive in his main sport, basketball.

Now with the success Simpkins is having with baseball, football is trying to regain control by having the "athletes" in two of the three major sports. So why not put a football guy in that position. Prestonsburg has great tradition in football and I believe they will go to any length necessary to ensure that football plays second fiddle to no one.

Looks like I opened a can of worms by not knowing this guy personally. After inquiring from some others I found out as Paul Harvey says, "The Rest Of The Story". It appears that he has a problem wherever he goes or so I've heard. He has made some statements toward not only a Central adult but also a student, another situation that I have only heard. However as someone from across the creek, I will put 100% confidence in what I have been told because I personally know the ones that have told me the story. When the game was over he made advances toward the Central coaches and players which I personally witnessed which is uncalled for. If it was my family, I would have done the same as the one that confronted him. Family is something you don't mess with. Why can't an adult act like an adult. After all, it's only high school basketball.
