Whats going on with JOHNSON CENTRAL?
#1
Johnson Central has been struggling of late. Not playing with any energy or heart , what is the problem? Are they still among the best in the region?:insane:
#2
I agree BT
#3
All the Johnson Central fans had them on pedistal above everyone else on here, saying no one in the region could beat them, but in all reality any team in the region can beat them outside Piarist and David...

All these "Johnson Central fans" that you are referring to are the kids that goes to Central that are members of the site. Most mature Eagle fans know that they can be beat on any given night especially when thay play like they have been. So don't come to the conclusion that " all the Johnson Central fans" believe that Central is unbeatable because they don't.

Central got the big head with the win over P'ville, they better get focused. Still i think they will be lucky to get out of the district tourney
#6
The way the region is this year, any team can win on any night. To think that a team can not or should not be beat is the games that you will lose for sure. If you are real fans, you should be supporting your team. Not questioning them. Stand behind them and encourage them in the bad times as well as the good times and they will be better off in the long run.
#7
I'm not questioning the Eagles because i of all people Know what they can do when they want to come out and play and to be honest when they come to play. They can not be beat by anyone in the 15th.....Not saying they will win the region for sure but if they come to play......SEND THEM TO RUPP!!!!!
#8
The region like I've been saying all along is wide open and has been since the beginning of the year. Whoever plays the best in the regional tournament will win the championship. So no one on here pick a regional champion because only time will tell.
#9
I didnt say for sure, Because i myself agree 100%

Now I am confused....You ask the question, then say you are not questioning them?????

personally, I don't know what is going on, but I think it is contagious as a lot of teams seem to be coming down with the same thing!!!
Please someone find a cure quick, Or we might as well wear bags over our heads when we go to Rupp....whoever makes it!

A few things...nobody cares anymore on the team...therefore this leads to no hustle or hearts...so suck it JC and play your arse off and let the fans and the student section(which I am a part of) earn their money's worth. I am sick of paying 4 dollars or 5 on double header nights to see you all give up if everything isn't perfect...if you listen to Coach Starns then it might translate to the court.
#15
It's late in the season to be having problems but I am sure that starns will get them playing. Good luck JC
#16
Every team will experience growing pains when they encounter success. Add to the fact that they are still under a new coach for their first full season and there is a recipie for a let down or two. They have lost 3 straight games, but 2 were on the road (Prestonsburg & Lawrence County) and those were two pretty good 15th region basketball teams. Not to mention the LC game was so emotional and it is hard to go to LC and leave with a W. The third loss was at home, but was against Perry County Central who is no slouch and if were in the 15th region would probabley be one of the favorites. JC dosn't need to hit the panic button just yet. You don't just foreget how to play and you don't just turn into a bad basketball team. They are still a very good and very very dangerous 15th region basketball team and will have as good a shot as anyone of cutting down the nets in the new Expo Center.

The Eagles will recover. They have lost to some good teams but they have beaten some very good teams this year. They do still have a shot at the one seed in the district and that makes the next two Fridays huge. We will learn a lot about this team over the next two weeks.

I don't believe they were ever among the Region's best.

IMO BT i think no1 at JC wants to play Mark Starns basketball none of those boys wanna play hard nosed D every1 wants to look out for #1 and not the team and that has hurt JC in the long run.

not me
but who knows?
#23
i believe that they will make districts just because i have watched them an know what kind of ball they can play when they want to but if they do make it an play like they have been its a for sure loss so just get your game back on track and i wish you all the best of luck with the remaining of your alls season
#24
They have just not played to their full potential but hope they bring it to the Magoffin game tonight.

I agree & this same mindset is working on teams all over the 15th region. Tournament time is close @ hand and instead of begging, pouting, pleading, and resorting to off-the-wall antics by coaching staffs, why not let the coaches go through things as usual & let the chips fall where they may, allowing some of these superplayers a chance to sit on the sidelines and enjoy hind te*at. Maybe next year, everyone will know what they want to do to be the best.
#26
IMO i think JC will become 15th region hungary and be playing their best toward the end of the season when it counts.
#27
JC will be there at tourney time.
#28
This team has underachieved in my opinion. They returned plenty of talent and have been very mediocre. Sorry JC fans. UNACCEPTABLE SEASON!!!!! Good Luck in the postseason.

There are a very few who want to play coach Starns style basketball....but when you have a few loose cannons out there wanting to be the hero...then you end up with a team that is divided against itself. JC has the potential to go all the way in this tournament....they have the talent to do so but they have to stop trying to be heroes and play like the team that they are. I have seen a couple of the boys who never see the floor with their heads hung down because the team lost. I tell them...why are you worried...you didn't even get on the floor...and their response to me is "Win as a team. Lose as a team...it doesn't matter if I played or not." If everyone on JC's team would have that attitude...there would be NO beating Johnson Central.
