Bad refs.

Congrats Pats!

Here come the excuses....good win pats

Yeah I heard the refs robbed cordia. KCC had them in their pocket from what I was told
03-01-2014, 09:04 PM
I'm sure Cordia will use the typical "we got robbed" excuse. Not a terrible officiated game.

Never defeated only cheated, always the refs
Cordia built a lead early going inside got a lead then jacked up 3s till kcc got going, the better team won

who was the refs?

I bet the Knott co jail is busy tonight.

Refs had nothing to do with this...
If Cordia hadn't have continued to jack up shots early in the set they would have CRUISED!

Let me start by putting this as nicely as I can...
Terrible, awful, insanely bad, amazingly sad, brutally disgusting called game. You can call it an excuse all ya want but friends I have no dog in this fight. Knott Co is one of the better teams in this state but they got a ton and I mean a ton of help tonight. Tell me how 10 fouls to 2 is an evenly called first half? Cordia was absolutely clicking and their momentum was slowly taken away from them. I've never seen so many calls swing in one teams favor at any level of basketball. I will give it to the refs for "evening" out the calls in the second half but it was a little too obvious that Cordia's calls had little to no meaning to the game. These are kids playing the game they love and cherish why would anyone attempt to rob them of that? I feel for Cordia and coach Rhodes tonight. People can say what you want about his transfers but last time I checked Knott's 5 of their top 6 are transfers.
Cordia played well early. Really, really well. 14th region will be a dandy if refs and personal agendas can stay out of the way.

Refs, refs, refs...someone requested outside officials to come and ref this game. I'm assuming it was Cordia so they got what they asked for. 11th region officials drove from Lexington to call this game. They let both teams play physical and I thought they did a good job.

Nice win KCC. Cordia just shoots terrible shots.

Anyway...
I found myself rooting for Cordia they way they put it on Knott early, but I quickly went back to not caring after the meltdown.
Can anyone confirm this bit of information I got?
Not trying to start anything - just adding to the discussion
But I heard that Cordia's shirts now have Lion's with big muscles that say "We pack a punch".

Cordia's defensive pressure was solid in the opening moments but when you look up to see 7-8 fouls to 0 your in a tough spot going forward.

And this was the only game these refs were assigned to. All other district games had 14th region officials.

Inb4 someone blames the refs
Oh too late

I didn't get to see the game but I doubt very seriously that Cordia will get many calls in the 14th region for awhile. Perry and Hazard seemed to be best of friends last night. All of the hatred has shifted to Cordia.

Was Cordia playing man? KCC plays zone from what I remember watching them in Lexington a few times. If so, you're always likely to commit more fouls when you're out pressuring the ball. There are fewer opportunities to foul if you sit back and play in a zone. That's why you typically see a coach go zone if his best player is in foul trouble to try and protect him from getting any more.

My favorite play of the game was the score by Knott and steal by Justice for the and-one (missed the free throw) that gave them their first lead.
Justice was complaining about Knott getting a foul call and him stopping to complain left him in the perfect spot to steal the ball - I swear on my life.
Watch the tape lol

It's not a rumor when you put it on and wear it in public.
This isn't me trying to poke at the Creekers and aggravate you all.
They actually wore shirts that said "we pack a punch" tonight.

There has to be a picture of this. If not, everybody at this game dropped the ball!!!

I'll leave you guys alone to talk this one over for a bit.
I'm gonna pick around on the old guitar for a while.
It's great that these teams didn't get into a scuffle in this emotional game.
The draw tomorrow will be big. Can't wait to see the first round matchups.
One thing is for sure though - since Perry and Hazard are on opposite sides and Knott and Cordia are on opposite sides. Then Perry/Knott are on one side and Hazard/Cordia are on the other.
