I have tried to correct the score, but everytime I hit edit my computer freezes.

Would a nice moderator, please correct Kentucky's score for me? Sorry, I was mad and wasn't paying attention.

Thank you.

Cal tried his best to give it away,
#4
It sure seemed that way. I'm to the point where it's no fun to watch this team anymore.

I agree 100%
#6
:HitWall: man does this team piss me off!!! Just knew Cal was going to let this one get away!

I agree granny it's just no fun to watch, they just look lost at times!!
#7
Yay! They don't suck again.
#8
Oh wait. Apparently they do.
#9
Cal outcoach in second half of every game! Hey granny, where can I get a pair of those obama BS protectors? Could use a gross of them, lol
#10
well it was nice of u guys to post for half the season, I guess well see u in the high school football forums in a couple months, I guess I be posting my self since u guys wont be watching any more this yr,or I guess u can come see what I post and how GOOD THE DID..LOL

Most of the turnovers and mistakes that happened in this game are the result of poor Coaching! Cal can be heard screaming in the background wanting the PG twin to push the ball. IMO this type of play is not suited to the skill set of either twin. When Cal had John Wall or D Rose shouting "GO" is what he needed to do because those guys could "GO"! IMO Andrew needs to play under control and wants to play under control. The number one thing that both twins have going for them is size and I would love to see them drive the ball and pull-up for the 8 to 10 foot jump shot! The terrible looking floaters and bad layups is Cal's coaching at its best! All those lobs passes the good and bad are what Cal teaches! Making a simple pass is not his style! After taking a look at the stat sheet the thing that jumps out at me is the fact the Johnson failed to score and only took a total of 3 shots. It doesn't take Bobby Knight to figure out that if this team is going to make a deep run in March they are going to need solid point production form Johnson. The Ole Miss Rebels biggest inside defender was only 6' 9" Johnson is 7' CALL ME Crazy but that seems like a match up advantage to me??? Oh forgive me I forgot who coaches Kentucky now Match up advantages are crazy TALK for basketball Benny's and besides they are not sexy! I am glad to see the Cats get the win and good free throw shooting saved the day!
#12
This is the only time that free throw shooting has won us a game this year. Like last night turnovers that this young team creates hurt them once again. Correct me if I am wrong but I think they had 19 turnovers last night? With that many turnovers it's hard to win any game they still won by 14. If they could eliminate the turnovers by would have won by 30.

My daughter posts a ton of this stuff on my facebook. I don't share most because I'm afraid of offending. This one; however, was just too good not to share.

Wink

Gentlemen, I coached girls' basketball for years. My 6th grade girls could rebound with this UK team. At least they would block out and TRY. I saw little fundamental skills in the rebound part, or lack of it, in last night's game. It really frustrates me.
#14
I don't know why they dont block out. They try to outjump everyone instead....like they're still in high school and bigger than everyone.

GB this team is a odd, 90% of the time they dominate the Glass but at keys times in tight games they seem to lose those key rebounds. IMO it's the personal that Cal plays at those key times. WCS is a better defender than Johnson but Johnson is the better rebounder of the two.

We won the rebounding battle 39-23, so not sure what you mean by that.

UK had more dunks than any other game this season, 7-19 from 3 PT Range, 4 blocks, and 5 steals. I know the turnovers were ugly but I thought this game was a lot funner than most to watch

You knew he was going to let it get away? Yet they won. Therefore you were 100% wrong.

Once again, UK outrebounded Ole Miss 39-23. That’s a substantial margin. Not sure what you’re talking about.

20-6 and you'd think they're 6-20 according to this board. Just wish we were lucky enough to have some of you on the bench coaching this team.

Well, hear THIS, Mr. Onionhead.

If I was on the bench, particularly in the 4th quarter, I would've sat every blessed one of them down.

My girls used to do 5 gym laps for every rebound that hit the floor first. There was one time, late in the game, where the ball just bounced around for a while til somebody for Ole Miss decided to pick it up. UK players just stood there and watched it...like they're too good to get on the floor and fight for it. No team should ever be allowed six consecutive shots without an ATTEMPT at a defensive rebound.

And I don't care if they had 100 rebounds that game; that's REALLY what is frustrating. They CAN do it, it's a matter of choice with them and they WON'T do it.

This is just my opinion, but if we don't start playing with more heart and grit, we will be sitting and enjoying WATCHING the NCAA tourney rather than playing it.

They won the rebounding effort 39-23. That's a fact, not opinion. I just went back and watched the 2nd half, and there is not instance in the game where Ole Miss had 6 consecutive rebounds.

If you have this much of a problem with this team, my suggestion is to find a new one to root for that does hustle if you think this team isn't doing it right.

But then again you did coach 6th grade girls basketball so what do I know?

Lets be honest, GB isn't that far off.
Compared to expectations, this team is awful.
They are not as advertised. UK SHOULD have won the rebound battle 80-10 against a team like Ole Miss.

That doesn't mean they cant win the whole damn thing, there no dominant teams in college bball this year, so anythings possible, but if there "hustling and getting better", they better hurry. Only two weeks left...

Expectations set by whom? Anybody with common sense should have known that a team led by freshmen weren't going to win every game. Just like the fab five which at this point in their season was.......20-6, just like Kentucky.

Not the teams or coaches fault that some of the fans expected to go 40-0.

Faaaarrr Coach Cal! Gimme a break
#22
Any coach that can take a team that usually starts 5 freshman and be 20-6 at this point is a damn good coach in my books.

Too inconsistent

Never refuted the rebound count..again, if they had 100 it doesn't validate that they missed way too many easy ones. And they missed them by not blocking out. Even the star Freshmen need to be fundamentally sound.

And no, I won't find another team. I love Kentucky basketball; otherwise I wouldn't give a damn about how they play.

The sarcasm dripping off your "coaching 6th grade girls comment" did not go unnoticed. Sorry if I threatened you.

The problem is we should not be starting 5 freshman, he does not develop players. You can not name one person he developed.

Josh Harrellson for one,, so suck on that 1.

He did not develop Harrelson. He just started playing him because he had to. If Enis ever got eligible Harrelson never put his uniform on under his warmups. AND THATS A FACT.

Expectations set by every damn UK fan in the world (you know you had them to) as well as Coach Cal himself.
Nobody said frosh were going to win every game, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to do research and watch 14000 youtube videos of "experts" such as yourself saying this team was going to be the best thing ever.

As far as your 3rd grade response in making fun of people from your own state, I haven't heard one single person calling for Cals head the was a UK fan.
People haven't forgotten that just a few years ago UK bball was irrelevant.
Nobody with a head thought we would go 40-0, but most thought it wasn't impossible.
After watching this team struggle, and not get a whole lot better from November to February, its obvious the hype was blown out of proportion, and in essence made this season a disappointment.
The ONLY thing that I wouldn't consider a disappointment is a national title. Nothing else matters.

Well here's another fact. You're idiot poster of the year,, lol. You have no shame. Go back to tardville,, there missing their village idiot.

Josh would have never sniffed the NBA if wasn't for Cal.

insideinfo Wrote:He did not develop Harrelson. He just started playing him because he had to. If Enis ever got eligible Harrelson never put his uniform on under his warmups. AND THATS A FACT.

Cal took Harrelson and made him a animal. Harrelson was a hell of a player and bought into the system and would do anything it took to win. For a player to develop under a coach he has to totally buy into the system and as for this team, all I think they are looking at is the next level and not looking at the oppourtunity to develop, and become a better player.
